Recently attended a fundraiser event for the Christiana Library at this location. The event was a…read morePrincess Ball for little girls. While it was a colaboration between the library and the event space, no neither can take full credit, the two worked together effortlessly to make this event memoriable. Easy to find on Lincoln Highway in the Gap, the grounds, barns, and outdoor spaces were beautiful and well maintained. The inside of the barn was refurbished, modern, comfortable and a beautiful backdrop for any event. The grounds weren't quite in full bloom but were well maintained and the perfect scenery for pictures. The parking, although on the small size, was paved and ample. Another outbuilding where a storybook reading was held is normally used as a bride's quarters for getting ready pre-wedding. That room was elegant and furnished with luxurious french provincial type furnishings, gold guilded mirrors and was very grand. At our event, carriage rides were offered around the property. I had the pleasure of chatting with a relative of the owner, who relayed the property's history to me, which was very interesting. While the home is a private residence, there's still many venues on the property for different kinds of events. Definately a place to consider for large baby shower, party, reception, or wedding.

I had an emergency project for an event that Jessica and Karen Helped me to nail. Now I am certified and can jump in myself with assistance. I also have done projects in the media room, with Karen, and I reserve space to work in the study rooms. I truly appreciate this place, a happy place for me, "My office" 4 Real!

This is a great way for her to be around other babies (and it's free!). They read stories, have group activities and end with free time/play. This is my favorite branch in the HC library system. Freshly remodeled, they have opened up the…read morespace and added more PCs and reading areas. A good selection of titles with various formats available although CDs are no longer available at this branch. That said, you can request a CD hold for pickup at the Abingdon branch. They will also order/request items they don't carry in the Harford County system from Baltimore for example. Also nice to be have the option to pick up your reserve items at the window. Most of the branches are open Sundays from October to April. I've always had a great experience with all of the staff at the various branches.

Good: - Business center. It should be given more resources,…read morehowever, as it has limited hours. - Large selection - Convenient location Bad: - Customer service. I recently tried to contact the reference desk and they were busy so it went to voice mail, but there voice mail was full. Since I couldn't leave a voice mail I called back 5 times without anyone answering. I also tried going to the circulation desk and getting routed down there or leaving a message with them and that didn't work either. - Bathrooms. There is a fair chance that the bathroom isn't sanitary at any given time. It's also only a person at a time bathroom, which is inconvenient. - Food and drink not allowed. Other libraries are fine with a cup of coffee and some sell coffee as a convenience and to raise funds for the library.
