I just love Pa. The cornfields, watching the Amish trotting along on their buggies and enjoying the sites. There is a place called "THE WET SPOT" I finally found it but it took me a while even with my GPS.

It normally isn't stellar in these types of venues. I was pleasantly surprised. Theirs was great! Several choices of main courses and it tasted amazing! My servers, Lincoln and Abigail were attentive and prompt. I did the VIP experience. I highly recommend it. They build in some magical moments to make the night special for you. The preshow entertainment was outstanding. The young man doing walk around close up magic in the crowd astounded many, including me! The cast works very hard to create an immersive magical atmosphere from the moment you walk in and they truly deliver just that. The magic show was AMAZING. Professional lighting and staging combined with moving music and mind-blowing full-scale illusions you would expect to see in a Las Vegas show. The aerialists and dancers added another level of awe to the performance, too. There were built in moments where the audience laughed out loud and gasped in amazement and it's all family friendly. Brett Myers is not only an outstanding magician, but also carries a stage presence of a true seasoned professional. The magic will blow you away but the theatrical presentation of the effects make it extremely memorable. Some magic shows just throw one disjointed effect after another but this show had a magical theme with moments that drew you into a story. It made the evening that much more wonderful. A+! If you're in the Lancaster area, make this show a priority. You won't be disappointed! It's the place to be astounded and make a memory you won't soon forget. I am happy to recommend it in the highest possible terms.

I have two 5 year olds and they adored it. We got a seat at the very front and loved being so close to the action. The entire staff was so kind to our family. We came on father's day and our server shared their happiness to have us there on our special day. Before the show, they did a music trivia. My kids nearly fell off their chairs when I got one of the questions correct. Our prize? A soda (for me) and a giant bag of popcorn (that I didn't get one bite of!). The performers were energetic, singing the greatest hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. There were bubbles, a little magic, aerials and so many great moments. Even though I thought we were seeing a magic show, it all turned out great. I was very impressed with the space, too. I hope to come back again!

I'd driven past it countless times over the last few years but either didn't have enough time to stop or couldn't convince anyone else to stop with me. During my Lancaster Adventure Day, though, all of that changed. I purchased a Single Scoop ticket online ahead of time for $16.75 and reserved the very first time slot of the day at 10am. I figured a late-summer Thursday morning would be the sweet spot, and it turned out to be a great decision. It was busy enough that the place felt lively but not so crowded that I had to wait for every exhibit. Parking was plentiful, and I somehow managed to snag a spot right in front of the GIANT cow out front. Honestly, my day was already off to a fantastic start! The only hiccup of the visit came during check-in. Even though I'd already purchased my ticket online, I still had to wait in the same line as everyone buying gift shop items, purchasing admission and asking questions. Since there were only a two employees working both the registers and admissions, the line moved a little slower than I expected. If I could change one thing, it would be creating a separate express check-in line for folks who already have tickets. Once I finally made it inside, though, everything became easy peasy! The exhibits are completely self-guided, so you can wander at your own pace learning how Turkey Hill makes its ice cream and iced tea while playing with interactive displays along the way. One of my favorite parts was creating my own virtual ice cream flavor, complete with custom packaging. I also wanted to film my own Turkey Hill commercial, but those stations stayed busy the entire time I was there, so that'll have to wait until another visit. Naturally, I made a beeline for the tea sampling station. As someone who appreciates sugar-free options, I was thrilled to find both Zero Sugar Sweet Tea and Zero Sugar Fruit Punch available to sample. Both were fantastic! Then it was time for the part we'd all been waiting for...unlimited ice cream samples. One thing I really appreciated is that they weren't tiny little "blink and it's gone" samples. You picked two flavors, and they served actual scoops in a bowl. For an attraction centered around ice cream, that felt exactly right. My only tiny complaint? Wooden popsicle sticks instead of spoons. They definitely got the job done, but they made eating melting ice cream a little more awkward than it needed to be. Still...free and unlimited ice cream? I'm not about to complain too loudly! I spent about an hour wandering through the exhibits, playing with the interactive displays and enjoying the air conditioning on a hot August morning before making one final stop in the gift shop. Prices there were about what you'd expect for a tourist attraction, but there were plenty of fun souvenirs if you're looking to bring a little Turkey Hill home with you. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend visiting the Turkey Hill Experience at least once. I don't know that it's somewhere I'd return over and over again, but it was a fun, interactive way to spend an hour learning something new, eating entirely acceptable quantities of free ice cream and escaping the August heat. That sounds like a pretty successful adventure day to me!

With that being said, the rest of the experience left much to be desired. We decided to purchase our tickets at the booth, and our transaction started with one individual and then another took over. She told us the total, we paid, and started to fill out the waivers. While filling out the waiver, she took a phone call with a prospective customer, told them the pricing, and also told them there is a processing fee to use a credit card, something that was never disclosed to us nor was it advertised. Very unfortunate, as we would have paid cash. We were instructed to go to the waiting area and listen for our name to be called. We talked to a few people who were there before us and quickly realized that they had been waiting for over an hour, and people who arrived after us were being called. This was the second red flag for me. Our reservation time, unbeknownst to us, was 2 pm, and we were called around 2:15 pm, not bad. Our name was called, and before we knew it, there were a total of 13 individuals in a buggy on a scorching day, packed in there like sardines, so close that you could literally feel your neighbor's sweat. I will say that our driver, John, was absolutely a gem; he was kind, knowledgeable, and let us into his world. The overall route that we took was very nice; it allowed us to experience something we would not be able to do otherwise. We were amazed by the land, the sheds, and the homes. Be aware of the horse "rest stop," which is really another money grab with cookies and beverages for $3 each. Unfortunately, even with these positives, I do not believe I would go back. The customer service was just terrible and not forthcoming with information.
