    We went during peak fall colors and it was so magical! The conductor provides a great overview of…read morethe history of the railroad and this part of Colorado. I loved seeing all of the good doggos hanging out with their people. For the most part, they were all well behaved. The best seating does fill up quickly so wish we had gotten there a bit earlier. They do sell snacks aboard but they're just so so. The pretzel I got was half heartedly warmed up. I liked the short break in the middle where you can get off the train and take pictures or stretch your legs at the water tower. Bathrooms on board are meh, so try to use the restroom beforehand at the station. Once you get off the train everyone rushes to the bathroom so you want to try to get off faster to avoid a long line. The whole experience felt a little long to my toddler, but I did see some kids napping in their seats. Definitely worth coming out during peak fall season!

From mining for gold to Doc Holiday to geological facts her story telling ability is unmatched. Want to learn about Leadville and the surrounding area all while riding a train in the mountains of Colorado, then this is where you want to be.
