I am someone who is typically a little scared of heights, but I was totally fine on the balloon. It's very stable and not shaky at all. I loved the T-shirt and a little bottle of champagne we got at the end. Our guide, Ed, was fantastic at explaining what we were looking at and the mechanics of the balloon. I will say, you might get a better experience if you go in the summer because there will be more foliage etc. to look at, but it was still a nice time even though we went in the winter. You are not really that close to the mountains but it's still a nice view. If you do go in the winter, I would highly suggest having something to cover your ears and bringing gloves.

My family had a wonderful time Dec 23 (2025) on our snowmobile tour with Western Adventures. There…read morewas not a lot of snow at the Snowmass base village (or anywhere in the Western part of the USA) so I was skeptical about booking, but our hotel Concierge at the Limelight Resort Snowmass assured me we would have fun. He was correct! I also spoke to Christine at Western Adventures about any gear we might need. She is delightful and so helpful as everyone is with this company. There was plenty of snow way up in the mountains where the snowmobiles trails are. The views were breathtaking. Kim, our guide, treated us like family. She told us some interesting historical facts about the neighborhood as we drove up into the mountains where the snowmobiles are parked. We enjoyed taking advantage of their hot coco/refreshment hut located in the area where you can cut loose and have some free time driving your snowmobile. Thank you, Kim, and Western Adventures for making this a great family experience.
