I went to Salata after a long time as salad is not always my first choice. We decided to take the big bowl and salad. They made a good salad. No complaints. Tomato Soup was not worth the price and my taste palette. Everything was okay tillI saw the lady employee eating right from the serving bowl not once but twice that too without any gloves on. That's one of the most unhygienic and disgusting thing any employee can do to a restaurant. Not going back to this place.

I like this location a lot because it's not crazy busy at lunch! The staff is very attentive and the facility is clean, I would recommend it to the ones looking for a quick but quiet lunch. It's located upstairs, above Panda Express, so just take the stairs!

Had a great experience at this location! The ingredients were fresh and the portion was generous - easily 2 meals for me! Parking is easy as there is a huge parking lot shared with the surrounding restaurants and Costco. Will definitely come back!

How do you say "see you later" in Vegan? "Salata!" I really love this chain. (That's what my gf said when I imprisoned her in the kitchen, close enough to the stove to make food). They have changed the game for me. (Like Tom Brady when he's 28 points down with 3 seconds left or whatever he will similarly do this Sunday). Now I'm able to eat delicious salad (and toss delicious salad) for a fairly cheap price (or free since I got these muscles) and get somewhat full off of it (and I'm not the only one that gets full, hi girls) even though it's not as large (I mean, who is, hi boys) as my beloved Salad Extravaganza down the street, which is close enough to walk to. Speaking of street and walking, hi to my sexy gf too! This is my favorite location of Salata anywhere. Yes, you have to go all the way upstairs - usually in an elevator because your gf only wears stripper heels so stairways are tough - to get to it, but once you are there it is so worth it. I'm talking about the Salata and the Stripper Heels too. Stripper Heels doll says: "I like the salad selection, lots of delicious vegetables. They don't get mad at you for sitting in the section reserved by a random religious cult." It's lovely and comfortable, nice service, with big portions and lots of fresh ingredients. It is one of the best corporate chains you will ever eat at. That goes for Salata in general, but specifically this location. Now I have to go, so I'll Salata Alligator.

This joint is on the second story of the Costco strip mall, as far away from Costco as you can get fronting Weslayan and directly above the Panda Express. If you are coming up the disgusting stairs off the Weslayan parking lot entrance then it is on your right so you walk towards Richmond on the second story rather than walking to the left towards West Alabama & the beautiful Pizzeria Solario (that I love) down on the first floor of the complex. This location of the mega chain Salata has it all: extremely surly high school aged salad tossers in the assembly line that look bothered by you simply existing and/or asking for tomatoes; an exterior stairway that is wet at all times and in all weather conditions and smells as if three bums playfully urinated on each other while they were eating spoiled Taco Bell doritos locos tacos; and always has the dregs of baked tofu as if there is only one other half-shark, half-alligator, half-man in the Houston Metro that moseys on in occasionally to take the first most premiere portion of baked tofu every blue moon that always seems to arrive there just before I do so he/she/xe/they gets the good stuff before I get what is left. My suggestions are to invest in soaping and washing down the stairs with your co-tenants, hiring more sage and better help, and treating your next patrons like the truuuu princesses they are to wade through disgusting stair conditions to get to you when they could really easily go back downstairs to Pexpress and get some of that sweet sweet chork action going on in their mouth holes without needing to ascend a sewer of smells in the 90-100+ degree heat. How you affordin' this pricey commercial lease otherwise brah

I love this place. They have a great tea selection. I can pile on ingredients and it's not extra. This helps make the salad filing unlike other places. The place is hard to spot. It's on the second floor on the corner but it doesn't stop it from being constantly busy! The parking is also crazy. It's a constant buzz so watch out when you're backing out. Despite it being so busy there are plenty of tables and the service is fast.

Decided to stop in for lunch since Salata is one my favorite places to eat. I was so happy they built one in Southwest so I pulled over to give it a try. Since my friend has never tried it I swore he would love it. So I wasn't greeted when we walked in which was surprising but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. I chose to get the Salata lettuce mix the woman barely put any lettuce in the bowl so when I requested more she looked at we with disgust and added four pieces of lettuce. I counted it was only four. My rule is be nice they are making your food so I remained courteous. Then every thing I added she added light toppings and I had to ask for more. At this point her service made me not want to return to this location. The next employee was ok not cheerful so it was safe to assume this just isn't a happy team. Overall the location is great, service wasn't good, the quality was of the salad wasn't what I experienced but location was clean. I'm not sure if I'd return to this location. I felt like I wasted $20 cause it wasn't what I expected.

White bean soup with worms
Frances B.

Salata has always been my favorite spot for lunch. Today I felt a little cold so went there and order an small salad and a "white bean" soup. Surprisingly my soup came with a peculiar ingredient .. worms! I'll never come back to this place. If you promote fresh food then serve fresh food! I hope I don't feel sick later today or tomorrow if not, we are going to have a serious conversation.

Easy parking. Easy order. Quick service! I really do find…read morethem delicious, this concept of a salad inside a crispy bread. They warm the bread, remove the inside and leaves the crispy outside to fill in with salad. Their salad recipes are good, especially the southwest one with avocados and black beans. Substitutions seem welcome and you get to choose your own sauce. Of course, let's not forget they offer Zapp's chips, which are delicious. Overall great and filling meal. Oh, so many tables to sit alone or as a group. Great place to be ! Leaving satisfied and would want to come back!

I went here several months ago because my friend kept hyping up their version of a "spicy chicken…read morecaesar", and it was enough for me to place a to-go order and get up from my WFH desk to pick it up. I will say this flavor particularly was a 5/5 for me. It was exactly what I was looking for (carbs, spicy Caesar salad...not hard to please). However, I haven't found myself wanting to come back even though I drive past this area pretty frequently. If I did come back, I'd probably just order the same flavor again because it was that good. The Zeppelin is very filling though and kept me good for 2 meals, I just think nothing else on the menu appealed to me (other than the Spicy Tejano) enough to steer away from my go-to sandwich/bowl places if the craving for that type of food ever came. The staff were super friendly though and parking wasn't terrible. I can see why they chose the location since it is a great lunch spot for people in the area tbat want something quick but don't wanna run into the mall/opt for fast food drive thru.

Little Jimmy's serves as an exemplar of a deli in every way I can think of. I tried their turkey…read moresandwich ($10.48) and it tasted uniquely delicious. Their bread has a very light sweetness that compliments the muenster cheese, while the apple and pear add an unexpected texture to the sandwich. As someone with zero expertise in what constitutes a good turkey sandwich, I found myself quite surprised by the creativity put in this one. I also ordered a gyro/egg/feta breakfast taco ($3.88) since I've never heard of such a combination. I ended up liking it more than the conventional potato, egg, and cheese. It's also very filling for the price. My food came out in ~5 minutes despite ordering during lunch hour. Within seconds of walking in, it becomes obvious how their service remains fast despite the influx of customers. Their work space runs like a well oiled machine; workers seamlessly perform their kitchen tasks while a manager oversees the entire show, swiftly covering any gaps such as an unmanned cash register or chip bags needing a restock. The interior is somewhat small, but still enjoyable for dining in. The restrooms are clean, the floors are spotless, and the windows let in plenty of sunlight. I also appreciate the basket of free candy at the front counter. It's not filled with crappy mints or tootsie rolls either -- I grabbed a mini Twix bar out of there. Everything about this place feels well thought out from the food itself to the flow of operations. What a gem of a shop, hiding in plain sight.

Being on an assignment at the Greenway Plaza for several weeks in early April, this was our go-to…read morefor lunch. We ate here nearly everyday due to convenience. Normally I would suggest other places after one visit but found myself drawn to the convenience of the menu and the friendly staff. So the menu is asian fusion for breakfast and lunch items in the form of tacos, nachos, quesadillas, rice bowls, salads, and some cocktails thrown in. As tempted as we were to do an adult beverage, we stuck with lunch items for professionalism. Some items we tried were the following: Tacos: Brisket: 8/10 Tofu Tikka Masala: 9/10 Tilapia: 6/10 Pulled Pork: 7/10 Salads: Mango and Kale: 8/10 Caesar: 7/10 Taco Salad w/ chicken: 9/10 Rice Bowls: BBQ Pork: 7/10 Other Items: Brussels Sprouts: 8/10 Chips and Guacomole: 5/10 Chips and Spicy Hummus: 7/10 Only item we didn't care for was the chips and guacamole. The guac is bland as it's just mainly mashed avocado w/ minimal seasoning and missing items such as red onion, cilantro, lime juice, etc. The chips however are wonderful and excellent for dipping which goes well with the hummus. Hummus has a kick; not the best but good for the price and comes out quickly. The rice bowls are filling and ok. The taco salad was probably the best item; very powerful southwest flavors and the chicken very tender. Now the tacos; the brisket and tofu tikka masala are both tasty; brisket is tender and the tofu tikka masala might make you forget it's tofu. Pulled pork was alright but messy. The tilapia is tender but also messy and the tortilla kept breaking apart due to the salsas and toppings. Need to make it stronger! The plaza is lucky to have this and when I have future assignments out this way, I'll be sure to stop back in and try their other items.

A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
