Here I am again, 11 years later. What's good? I guess this place has made it 11 years. What's funny? The prices haven't changed, and it's likely how they've stayed open this long; margins have to be phenomenal. 1 wrap (Southwest Wrap, no customization), 1 small salad with grilled tofu, no extras or sides or drinks, $35. (Both items had protein added at about $4 each add, totaling about $14+ each, then tip is added). The inside has been refreshed since 11 years ago, that's nice. Bright, airy, clean. Can't complain. Salad was good; I like being able to make my own. Quality is fine. Grilled Tofu only gives you 3-4 1.5" (cold) squares though, should have gotten the chicken. I feel for vegetarians/vegans. I miss Salad-and-Go. Market Street doesn't salad bar anymore. Whole Foods still does and has other options, too, so it's still hard to say this is anywhere near worth it. But I guess that's the price you pay for fresh and healthy. Too bad it's out of reach for normal folks, price-wise. If the small salad was a couple bucks cheaper this could be a winner. To knock a star off, on top of it being painfully expensive, I would expect delightful service. Instead, blank stares and robotic moves; nobody likes their job who works there apparently? I don't expect fake smiles, but service is part of the cost and value add. read more

Not sure how their prices work. Got two salads and two ice teas for $41. The salad was fine, fresh but certainly nothing earth shattering. Maybe they have the most expensive tea in the world. Not sure but not a real good value when looking for a quick healthy lunch. read more

My family was craving salads and came here for dinner! The regular sized salads are really great portions. You can add fruits and veggies to your hearts content, and there are lots of proteins to choose from. I also love their croissants! My sister got a wrap and was very happy with it. I get lemon juice as the dressing for lower calorie and I feel like if ties my whole salad together. Would be pricey if I went everyday, but once in a while it's so good and so worth it! read more

I brought my family (wife and two kids) into the location for lunch over the weekend, the location was out of every item you could name, service was horrible/slow, we sat at the register for nearly 10 mins before someone addressed us. Will not be going back to here, save yourself the trip and go to the better location 5 miles north. read more

Freshness and abundant veggies and toppings! Service is buffet cafeteria style, where you tell them what you want and they make the salad in front of you. First, the salad is still good. The restaurant side has gone beyond downhill. It's always pleasant to have to choose your table based on "least disgusting ". In the 30-35 minutes we were in-house, not a single staff member could be bothered to wipe down a single table. Nor clean the dropped food off the floor. The ice teas - all three flavors - ran out and the staff refused to make more "because it's close to closing." Clue: 6:45 - 9 pm close is over TWO HOURS. Salads don't thrill me, yet I have been curious about Salata since they opened quite some time back. We tried it a few weeks back then went again last week. I'm a huge fan! The restaurant itself feels airy and clean, so that is a great start. It is basically a salad bar, but they put everything in the bowl instead of having you do it. You start with the size - regular, small or wrap. I got a regular during our first visit, and quickly discovered that a small was plenty. My fiancé agreed, and we both ordered smalls on our next visit. Once you have decided on a side, you choose your greens (and you can mix them). There are 5+ greens to choose from, so quite a good selection. You move through the line choosing your veggies, fruits, nuts, cheeses, dressings, etc. They say there are over 50 toppings and I can totally see that after going through the line only once. Once you have made your selections, they mix it all together with the dressing and it is delicious! Why don't salads taste that way when I make them at home?! They have a few choices of breads and I wholly recommend the multigrain croissant. I would go back just for that - it was that good! They have a tea bar, which I have never seen before - several choices of iced tea. I am a huge fan of the plum cinnamon. Add a little Splenda, and I'm all set! Come to think of it, I don't think they even had any kind of soft drinks. So Salata gets two thumbs up from me. I will be back soon! read more

I heard about Salata from a friend who brought in a really yummy looking salad and I had to try it out for myself. There are so many options. Salata is amazing, it's like chipotle because you can build you own salad, except with a lot more options and total customization. I ordered a large salad with half spring mix and half romaine, added a ton of vegetables and did not get any meats because it was an additional $3 for meats and $4 for seafood. With such a delicious salad the only down side I could find was the price. My salad cost a little under $10 and I didn't have any meat in it. The reasoning for my 3 star review is because, while the salad was delicious, I could just as easily go to whole foods or any grocery store nearby and purchase a larger salad with protein for half the cost. Like Kara K, the "value" of the food is very important and can't be overlooked. But, if you don't mind shelling out $10 for a salad then this is your place, everything is delicious and you get a free drink with a yelp check in! read more

If you are craving a salad, this is definitely the place to go! The food tastes great and is so fresh. You are able to fully customize your salad with whatever toppings you want. It is a bit on the more expensive as I paid 18$ for a regular salad (with chicken) and water. One thing I do want to note is I'm not too sure how they clean their vegetables or if they do for their bases. In my salad, I got the long butt/ root end of a romaine head and was kind of thrown off by it. I would assume those pieces are thrown away when prepping the vegetables since it is hard to clean in between the leaves that are attached to the bottom. read more

My husband has been wanting to eat a lot healthier and just wanted some salad for our eat out day. We looked up Salata. I wasn't sure what we were getting ourselves in to since it's super new to eating healthy. I'm amazed on how amazing my salad came out even when I just added whatever was there that my eyes were drawn too. So many choices so many ways to make a salad wow! I enjoyed my salad and my husbands amazed that a salad can taste this good!! Yes! I have a healthy place to eat at now. Not feeling guilty at all and super full! I'm reluctant and torn. Selection is amazing. I sorta get it. There's always a but..... 2/5 very small space to sit. Lots of little tables and my elbows touch the girl at next table. Just not comfortable or what you get normally in suburbs. 5/5 selection of items. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh. 2/5 I received 3 bean sprouts when I asked for them. The face of server was frightening when she grabbed 3 little strings. Made me uncomfortable. 3/5 service. Very rushed through line. I get servers want to keep moving but again just uncomfortable for everyone. 2/5 for value. I have to agree with many others. 3 Salads and 3 tap waters for $38. Fresh food but expensive. Different sizes for salad but three small salads with a bill over $40 and then tipping on top of that the 15-30 percent selections on the register... a bit much. Protein is extra, understandably... but quinoa being an added protein costs seems a bit off- I'd assume it would be grouped as a topping. Tea selection was really good and food was fresh but I'd prob consider this fast food- yet the price doesn't meet that criteria. Still giving a good rating bc their service is fast, place is clean and food is good/healthy and portions were generous. read more

My husband and I love this place. They serve a huge variety of salad toppings, and everything is always fresh and tasty! It is a little pricey but worth it for a quick, healthy option. We just ordered two small salads with extra shrimp (5 regular or 10 with extra shrimp) and avocado ($1 upcharge for 1/4 avocado) for $30 including tax and a $2 tip. You can get salads (small or large), wraps (all the same topping options) and soup. I've never tried their soups but they look delicious. This is definitely one of our go-to lunch places. Just so glad this exists! There is such a need for healthy, good food at the right price. Salata is it. While there menu is limited this is to be expected. This is basically Chipotle but as a salad bar. The quality ingredients and every changing taste of the month are both wonderful. I wish this was found in more places! I would love to see some even healthier items added: 1 non cow diary such as almond cheese and goat/sheep cheese. Secondly I have asked the ownership at several stores to reconsider their salad dressings to remove the nasty canola oil and move to Olive oil base. They accepted my input and said they would look into it. read more

Went to this specific Salata and was truly disappointed. The portions of the salads mixes, the toppings, the protein... I was given the smallest amount of everything I asked for. There was no rush or overwhelming amount of orders. Compared to the Salata in the Colony on Denton Tap Rd, this Flower Mound location does not compare. read more

My son had been here a few times and insisted I try it. I eat a homemade salad everyday for lunch so curious to see how good it was. Nice clean but simple place when we walked in. It's nice that they make the salad for you and add anything you want. I got the large with chicken and he got a large with chicken. Not a bad deal for $20 total. All the ingredients tasted fresh. I'm a little spoiled that I grill my chicken that I use on my salads at home so wasn't too impressed it seemed packaged in cubes. Still taste good. Overall it's a good deal for a great price. I can't tell you how much money my family and I have spent at this location over the past two years and we've never had a problem until today. I hadn't been in a few weeks and I didn't recognize any of the regular staff so maybe that's the problem, maybe these are new workers. But there was nothing welcoming about the experience at all.Before I even got a chance to say that I want to avocado and artichoke on my salad the server had already walked over and placed my salad down so it could be rung up. $13 is a lot to pay for a salad but we do it because of the food and the environment.
