Austin is a booming town now and these guys have all the business they can handle, but customer service is not just a down economy thing. I can't speak to the quality of Darrell's work because he didn't even show up to scope out the job. He wasted my time and hopefully won't waste yours.

I had a random list of items that came up on the inspection for the house we had just bought that we knew we wanted done. Darrell has a broad knowledge base on home repairs and was able to fix everything on the list quickly, and also gave his recommendation on what could wait (or what would be easy and cheaper for us to just do ourselves). Fast forward a few months-we have continued to call on Darrell for various projects throughout the house. I'm 9 months pregnant and trying to get it all done before the baby comes and Darrell has risen to the challenge. He was able to repair our outdoor kitchen, match the stonework, wire in some new lighting and helped talk us through (and out of) doing a pricey pergola addition (I appreciated his honesty!) He most recently installed closet shelving, matching the existing and mostly useless laundry room shelves (with his perfectionist attention to detail) . Being around during the day while contractors are working in the house, it's nice to find someone who not only knows their stuff but is also just a genuinely nice guy to be around. I'm grateful that we've found a 'Darrell of all trades' handyman that I can call on for whatever comes up with our house over the years.

I am still having issues from not enough water, as irrigation system is very spotty in places. I have four plants in the front we just planted and they are dying in a place where they were supposed to fix those sprinklers, but they did not. So, I will have to get a better company out here. It is too bad, but they also only had one man working, while the other one just walked around. They were supposed to be partners, and I try hard to avoid these types of situations, where they charge for two men, but only one works. You see a lot of this in the Austin Area. But, I had an emergency situation, was short on time and everyone else was booked as it was the busy season. Notice too on their web site, that they do not give out their exact address of business, not good! I have learned there is a reason some companies do not give this out. If there are problems, then they can just ignore your phone calls and are off the hook for anything that goes wrong.

Lloyd is very knowledgeable and passionate about trees. He took the time to explain to me about the care and maintenance of each one. On the job, they went above and beyond by even cleaning the backyard and taking extra wood. They took 4 huge trees down and remove roots, cut dead branches of other 2 trees, pruned tree to clear space for chimney and roof, cleaned the backyard and front yard. All this work was done in half a day, impressed with efficiency and quality of the job. Martin did $850 damage to my stucco. My painter who has been in business for 20 yrs said that this cannot be cleaned off. We tried to power wash the mess off and it didn't come off. We had a tree trimming project that required tall ladders and tree climbing. Marco is very good about communicating via phone/text and responded in a timely fashion to my text questions. He also confirmed the appointment ahead of time. He was willing to drive 1.5 hours to work on my project. Marco and his crew used safety harness/fall retractor when working on high limbs. He is very mindful of the safety of his crew. The wind was too high to safely cut the high limbs the first day so they worked on lower limbs and came back the next day for the high limbs. Marco and his crew came back until the job was done to our satisfaction. He confirmed which limbs were getting cut to make sure he was cutting the ones we wanted. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves, trash/limbs/branches were all removed and hauled off. They were respectful of the property. I will hire Marco again for future tree trimming needs. He gave me a recommendation for a roofer and I plan on hiring them based on Marco's recommendation.
