This year I called to ask about sandwich menu. I was to receive this 'later today' from Nathalie. It is now six days later and I never received anything. I called two days ago and this afternoon and was told 1-she's away for holiday weekend and 2-she's in a meeting...and then a scoff about having any idea how long the meeting would l have now placed my $725+ order elsewhere. The sandwiches are good but the organization and need to depend on a transaction = Never Again.

I have heard rave reviews about this place located in Marche de l'Ouest, was running errands and…read morefigured it would be a perfect time to browse their menu...oh my Lord!!! They have an assortment of freshly prepared and packaged meals including pasta, some asian meals, soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts, pretty much something in most categories. I tried the peanut butter chicken with noodles and a salad trio, they were all AMAZING!! You can tell everything was made fresh and with higher quality ingredients. The price tag was a little higher than I'd expect for pre-prepared food that I'd have to reheat (Pb chicken dish was 11.99) but the quality of the food justifies it for sure and the portion sizes are great. I will definitely be adding this to my roaster of lunch options.

Where to begin. This establishment is all around AMAZING!!! All the staff are friendly, outgoing,…read moreattentive, and really know their craft. I thought I had pre-booked a reservation, and we were running late. Parking in this area can be a trick. I dropped my wife off and continued to locate parking. She contacted me and said there was no reservation. I panicked as I parked my truck and sifted through my emails for a confirmation. I hustled the 0.4 miles back to her. When I went in the hostess said it wouldn't be a problem and brought us to a table. My wife later told me she was offered tea while she waited. The waiter was on spot. He knew their menu and provided us with his insights. All the food was Devine. Beautifully laid out and brought out each course in the perfect time. My wife loved the hibachi, she doesn't eat much in general and I do most of the cooking at home. She couldn't get enough of putting items in the hibachi and moving them around. Guess I need a hibachi at home lol. Also my wife is 86 pounds, so she gets cold easy. The hibachi was the perfect personal heater too!! We had a great time together. The ambiance had that perfect Japanese appeal, while still modern. I used to live in Japan so I can be skeptical when it comes to Japanese flair & food. This establishment did not disappoint. So if you are in Montreal, I highly recommend giving this place a go. Side note, pricing is very reasonable considering what is included in packages. And the Saki I had was delicious and looking it up for the going rate they make around $5 per bottle based on what they sell it for and market retail price (place around the corner up charges 110%). So you are more than getting what you pay for in my opinion. And sometimes you just cannot put a price on excellent service! We will definitely be returning when we venture. To Montreal again.

The quality is definitely there! Cuts are rarely chewy and the marinades are flavourful. The…read moreappetizers are of much lower quality though. The spring rolls taste like the frozen veggie ones from Asian supermarkets. The salad and rice were also nothing special. However, the for value it's not bad. We got the premium set for 2, which was $120 (tax & tip included). For anyone that's not a big eater, it's a good alternative to gyubee. Service was very attentive although the kitchen was quite slow. Our appetizers came 1 hour after our meats arrived, which was a bit strange. Ambiance is a bit cold since the tables are so close to the doors, so we constantly felt a gust of cold air during our visit.

We went out of our way to try Olive + Gourmando, based on reviews and friends' recommendations…read more Some of the portions seem small (Sconewich), but very filling. I couldn't finish the Egg on Your Face, so I had the rest for lunch (it was almost as good cold!). But it was DELICIOUS. Everything was really tasty and the croissants are so flaky. Service is fast - but you can tell some of the items are freshly made (like the French toast and panini). The atmosphere is adorable & quaint. Seating is a bit crowded, but that makes it charming.

The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.
