lunch special with smoked salmon
Winnie Y.

This place is good, fresh salad at a good price. It's always packed at lunch, and they have great options for a salad. Sometimes they have live music playing which is a bit intense. When I went there was no line (early for lunch around 11am and also there was a massive road closure including to foot traffic) so I got my food fast, but it was unclear I was had the option to change toppings if I wanted to. Smoked Salmon daily special only had 3 slices of smoked salmon, which was not that much given the size of the actual salad.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that Salad Days finally opened at the Hudson's Bay Centre. But what really had me jumping from joy were their hours. They are open from 10am-7pm Monday to Saturday! Don't fret, the 2 Bloor location is still open, but they close at 4pm and are closed on weekends. I hated never being able to get food from Salad Days because my office is too far away to get it for lunch, and they closed too early to get a salad after work. But now I can get my fix after I finish work or on a Saturday! Funny, but I bought a small cobb salad today from them even though I am not hungry. Since they were open, I just had to! Also, they take debit and credit cards! And the portions are still amazing!! **HaPpY DaNcE**

Not a big fan of buying salad outside but this place is sweet! It's relatively cheap, fresh, delicious, and located right next to Bloor subway. Always walked passed it and never stopped to try, but today I managed to with my coworkers. They have a good variety of pre-built salad and wrap choices. I tried the Cobb Salad (small) - it was only $4.95 ($5.60 after tax) and they fill the salad box up to the max! I loved the ingredients they give and for the Cobb, you can choose either Feta or Blue cheese yummmms! I'm pretty filled up even with their small salad portion. Next time, I would want to try their Smoked Salmon Salad, Hummus Salad, or their Special (large) for only $6.49. Their staff and service is alright. Pretty quick given the many employees during lunch rush. Never go around 12PM noon, or else the line up is huge!

Lunch special. $6.49 Grilled chicken breast, Mashed sweet potatoes, Stuffed vine leaves, Greek salad.

I frequent this salad place as it is conveniently located by Yonge-Bloor station. Tip: There is normally a line-up, so it's better to go off-peak hours or pre-order online via an app. This salad bar offers a variety of fresh ingredients for you to build your own salad, or choose some of their specialties. Starting at $4, up to $9. The lunch special costs $6.49 for a decently sized greek salad with chicken/salmon, sweet potatoes, stuffed vine leaves, and olives. A good mix of protein and greens, leaving you full and satisfied. I recommend adding proteins, more egg, beans, etc. Healthy and affordable, ideal for lunch. If you're looking for salad, try this place out!

Salmon salad with some extra capers

It's a salad bar. Not a whole lot of prep work goes into it so you would expect fresh ingredients. And they are. I ordered a salmon salad while my friend ordered the special (which was chicken breast with some veggies, mash, stuffed grape leaves and Greek salad). I added some capers into my salmon salad which I recommend since it adds more flavour to the salad. The base was a garden mix (so red lettuce, spinach and those dandelion-type leaves) with a few cucumbers, tomatoes and mixed peppers placed on top. Drizzled with a balsamic vinegar, I think. Finally the smoked fish meat and capers. The salmon tasted fresh and was quite hearty. The leaves were fine and all veggies had a crispness to them, so fresh. My one complaint comes from tasting the chicken. The chicken had no flavour whatsoever. I'm not sure why, since the stuffed grape leaves had more taste than the chicken. Being super healthy doesn't mean you should give up on flavour!

Mandy's is the perfect lunch spot if you're looking for deliciously dressed, very satisfying salads…read moreand bowls. Their menu is pretty extensive; many options and you can actually create your own salad by checking off a checklist paper at the cash. Their dressings are all super tasty. Their menu staff are super friendly and welcoming. The service is pretty quick, but lunch hour can be a bit hectic as one expects. Super cute atmosphere and front patio seating available on Ossington for people watching as you enjoy your salad. I come here regularly because it's just so tasty, and a healthier option. Highly recommend!

For take out, I ordered the Pacific Crunch which has rice noodles, cilantro, mint, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, green onions, edamame, red peppers, mango, cashews, and coconut curry shrimp. The service was quick, as it took about 10 minutes to prepare the bowl. I enjoyed the Pacific Crunch; it was very tasty and the ingredients complimented each other well. However, I am giving Mandy's 3 stars as I was very disappointed with the portion size, especially considering the price. My bowl was only 2/3 full, when compared to the bowl purchased by my friend. For the price, I would expect the bowl to be completely full, with more than 4 shrimp.

I've actually had Brasa previously many years ago for a Yelp event but this time I decided to stop by the Queen St. location to grab dinner. Their menu boasts unique flavours where ingredients are fresh and nutritious. I decided to order a bowl from their phone app where my order was made in about 15 min. Upon arriving at Brasa, the space is accessible where the cashier/food counter area is to your right. On the left there is bar seating where you could enjoy your items there. I mentioned to staff that I was there to pick up my food where it was already made. In terms of food, I ordered the tuna ceviche bowl (Organic tricolour Peruvian quinoa, marinated tuna, avocado and sweet potato blossoms, two types of Peruvian corn, finely sliced red onion) which cost around $17. I had the bowl for dinner and it felt super healthy with the quinoa, avocado, and tuna! The ingredients tasted great together and the crunchy corn added a crunchy textural element to the bowl. Overall, a healthy alternative in the Queen/University area!

I was downtown and stumbled upon this grab-and-go spot, and it was exactly what I needed. I ordered two burrito bowls and a soup, and the total was around $50. Honestly, it was worth every single dollar. What really sold me on this place is how precise they are--they literally measure out every portion of protein, vegetables, and fats. It's awesome for anyone who's tracking their intake or just appreciates getting a perfectly balanced meal. Beyond the great food, the staff was super friendly and genuinely helpful. The prices are totally fair for the quality you get. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area and looking for a quick, healthy bite.

I believe the dressing was changed to another dressing but the flavour combination was exquisite. I actually preferred this restaurant over another go-to vegan restaurant we frequent with similar ambiance. The Service: The service was really good. The employee working made out food really quickly and was very friendly. Will we return? Absolutely!
