Stopped here on a whim since I was in the area and wanted to grab lunch. Love an ayce restaurant so that is what drew me to try them out! Asked about the paper menu to mark what I wanted to get but server informed me that is was all sent on the iPad now. What I ordered: crab rangoons - pretty decent! shumai - not a fan. It tasted cold inside. Tried another, and it was the same. Fire dragon roll - solid sushi roll! no complaints here. Ordered the yellowtail jalapeño - a fav of mine but it only came out with one piece. Sashimi - ordered a few at a time, some not pictured, but it's ok. It was still a bit frozen. Miso soup - came out fresh and hot. I don't normally order this but it was good. Kani salad is also a fav of mine. Not pictured, but I enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it was a wow factor but the service and waitress made it a good experience.

Loved this place. All you can eat sushi and hibachi. Something to keep in mind.Their lunch menu is only Monday-Friday. 16.99 pp, 11-4pm. Saturday and Sunday the only option is the dinner price at 26.99pp. All day. There is a 2 hour max for dining. For me, this is OK as long as my food is coming out in a timely manner. The ambiance is really nice. It's a small space but well thought out layout. Its good for small groups. You can tell they put some thought into it. They have a huge motion wall that changes with different moving sceneries. Our server was nice and explained the menu. All of the options we chose were fresh, and had good flavor. We were satisfied. I like that when you order certain items, like the wings, they only bring out 1at first. You are basically trying it out so that you don't waste a bunch of food if you don't like it. They do charge extra if you waste a bunch of food. The sushi rolls to me seem a little larger than I've had at other sushi restaurants. You get full faster. Great choice for All you can eat. I do recommend.

I absolutely love this restaurant it is my favorite sushi restaurant in clt. It's affordable with very good amounts of food. The hibachi is very good, but the maki sushi is my favorite omg. So good. So good. This is my favorite sushi ever. Mind u this is 2 separate times I have gotten the maki and it was so good but I've gotten it 4 times now.

My prior review had this place at a 5. I was going just about once a week until I found a hair on one of my rolls in October of last year. They gave me a fair discount and I just didn't eat that piece. Flash forward about 8 months, I decided to come back for a lunch out. Gone are the paper menus where you select what you want and how much of it you'd like. You have to order through the server, who has a tablet. This is annoying when you want to order a variety of food and have to remember which items to name off. I don't think you can pick the individual quantity of each item like you could before, promoting potential food waste. The new menu also seems to have some things cut or possibly hidden. They used to have ice cream as a dessert option, so I asked about it. They said they still offered it for free but it's not on the menu because the flavors change. Still, it'd be good to know that we at least a choice. Overall, I'd give my experience a 3. I much prefer the paper slip ordering system, and the special roll selection for lunch is not good. The food was fine, but I now have to go and forth between here in Mr. Tokyo where this used to be my favorite of the two.

Where to begin... the service was subpar. They had one server working a 12 party and our side which was like 11 tables. My husband ordered the yellowtail jalapeno and I ordered the pepper tuna tataki. The picture is below. It says 1 on the menu so my understanding is one order per person. Well, it is. But it's 1 ONE piece. The menu shows more. You only get one because it's a "special". This used to be high quality good food. Now it's just subpar. Yes, you get unlimited but it's just meh at its best. This used to be my go to. Now, not so much. I will not go back. The waiter was rude. The girl working at the counter starred me down the whole time. Save yourself your money and your time. Oh, they don't have the paper to write down what you want. You tell your server. Oh, and if you want wasabi and ginger don't forget to ask for it, it doesn't come with your sushi.

Really good experience at Sakura. We ordered the AYCE option for 26.99 each and it was definitely worth it. The food and service were amazing and the rolls came out relatively quick. We went on a Friday around 5pm and it was relatively empty and quiet. There is free parking in front of the restaurant. Definitely check it out if you are in the neighborhood!

Stopped by for a sushi fix. It's been awhile. Nice strip Mall parking lot and larger than expected interior. Typical Asian decor. Met at door by friendly hostess who immediately seated me. Since Sakura offers both all you can eat and traditional menu you have to declare intentions. Mine was for a simple quiet Japanese style meal so I ordered off the menu. Miso was brought out first and was very tasty. Next came my roll (I am sorry I forgot which one I got). It was also tasty and on the large side. Very nice. The shrimp Udon was also good but since it is something new for me to try not sure. I liked it. Service was friendly and my water glass stayed full. Very attentive.

Food: we opted for the all you can eat option. If you do that, the entire table has to pick the option. We selected a variety of dishes and it took about 15 minutes to arrive. You mark your order on a paper and you can reorder as much as you want. Everything we ordered was delicious and freshly made. They do accommodate special requests too. Service: was good but fairly slow. Compared to the terrible Mr. Tokyo this is far better in terms of speed and quality Ambiance: very nice decor. We recently came back from Japan and it really felt like a Japanese restaurant. I would definitely come back and recommend to others. You can also order through the menu or delivery.

Stopped by here after the movies on a Saturday and was seated immediately. It's $26.99 for AYCE sushi/hibachi which is a great price once you see just how much food they offer. I tried the tempura mushroom, spring rolls, and clear soup from the apps menu and I will say that they were very basic and just okay to me. The real star is the sushi. I got some salmon nigiri and the salmon was massive. You could also get AYCE sashimi which is amazing since I think this is the only place you can do that at. My favorite roll was the Sexy Roll. I was too full to try the hibachi but I will next time!

This is an 'all you can eat sushi and hibachi' restaurant in Concord. The prices are reasonable, $27 dollars for endless sushi or you can order entrees off the menu. I decided I wanted the steak teriyaki (medium well) with steamed rice, and a salad. The salad was pretty average but the steak pieces were very generous but the onions were a bit overload. The hibachi sauce that accompanies the entree was a good fit, and service was decent. The place is clean, and the restrooms are decent. Parking is available in front or behind the business. Overall, I would return again.

Snuck away from great wolf to grab dinner. We were very impressed with this all you can eat sushi option. Kids get cut out of the kids pricing at 10 which is something to be aware of if dinning with light eaters. My hot tea was not included in the dinner price. But that was ok. We sampled all of the things and left happy and content. For a make as you order sit down restaurant the speed of food delivery was impressive. The main wall was used as a multi projector screen and my kiddos loved the underwater photos and cute Japanese characters. Did I mention the food was awesome too?!! Get the coconut balls. They are warm break balls filled with warm gooey coconut.

This is my 2nd time and both times we got the all you can eat option and it's definitely worth it. It's made to order which makes the experience even better, I do hate that I haven't gotten a chance to try the buns which I think are off the menu now. The tempura shrimp, hibachi chicken, fried pork gyoza and green tea ice cream is so good. The sushi is my favorite tho, I've tried 4 different types and none disappointed. The staff is so friendly and nice and I love the ambiance. If you haven't tried this place, then what are you waiting on? 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

Each piece of meat was tender and savory. The miso soup was okay, it had tofu, seaweed and green onions. Light and savory. The crab rangoons were crispy and actually filled well with cream cheese. The Gyoza were pre packaged so nothing to exciting. And the same with the edamame that was lightly salted. Overall I'd go to again.

We usually have the hibachi chicken and the wings appetizer. You get five (or six) tiny wingette pieces and they are delicious--crispy and flavorful. The hibachi chicken is excellent, too. You don't need any additional sauce to add to it, even though you're provided with some in a squeeze bottle if you choose to add some. My husband always likes to add the sauce but for me it's not needed. The atmosphere is relatively intimate because it's a small place. The portion size felt fair for the price--especially since hibachi prices have gone up everywhere lately. I was a little bummed that I couldn't swap the garlic noodles for extra rice without an additional charge, but honestly, I'm glad I kept the noodles--they were really good. I'd actually recommend not switching them out. They even put me on to udon (yudon) noodles, which I ended up really liking so much that now I want to try making them at home. One thing to note: they do have seating inside, but it's limited, so if you plan to dine in, try not to go during busy hours. One concern: my stomach did hurt a bit after eating. I'm not sure if it was the white sauce or something else, so I plan to give this place one more try to see if it happens again. If it does, that might be an issue--but for now, I'm willing to go back and test it out. Overall, good food, solid portions, and worth trying if you're in the mood for hibachi. I'll be back with an update after my next visit!

The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. A New Sushi Obsession: 5 Stars for a Flawless First Visit!…read more It's rare that a first-time visit completely knocks it out of the park, but this place is doing something special. If you are a sushi lover, stop reading this and just go. The Starters We kicked things off with the Tora Poke Tuna appetizer, and honestly, I could have ordered three more and called it a night. The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that sets great sushi apart from the "just okay" spots. The Roll Breakdown The sushi rolls here are creative, generous with the portions, and--most importantly--high quality. * Tuna on Tuna Roll: For the purists who can't get enough, this is a masterpiece. Double the tuna, double the flavor. It really showcased the freshness of their catch. * Queen Charlotte Roll: I'll be honest, I was on the fence about the strawberry salsa. Fruit on sushi can be a gamble, but trust me: it is a must-try. The sweetness of the salsa cuts through the richness of the fish perfectly. It's a total flavor bomb. * Carolina Roll: I really liked this one, though it's definitely the "indulgent" choice. It's fried and features cream cheese, which I loved, but it's worth noting that it's quite heavy. If you aren't a fan of tempura-style or creamy rolls, it might not be your vibe--but if you are, it's a home run. The Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service was attentive, and the food was phenomenal.
