It's more casual and we went after Ren Faire, so it was the hang out spot after an event! Service: great host and waitress. We put our name in and was seated with 20 or so minutes. That's even after a huge crowd from the Ren Faire! Our server was tentative and even gave great suggestions and comments. Especially about the names of their sushi rolls. You'll know where you see the menu lol! Food: overall was good! Even with it being busy it was still very good and looked amazing too! We got a variety of food. The hibachi food was cooked perfectly. Each piece of meat was tender and savory. The miso soup was okay, it had tofu, seaweed and green onions. Light and savory. The crab rangoons were crispy and actually filled well with cream cheese. The Gyoza were pre packaged so nothing to exciting. And the same with the edamame that was lightly salted. Overall I'd go to again.

We usually have the hibachi chicken and the wings appetizer. You get five (or six) tiny wingette pieces and they are delicious--crispy and flavorful. The hibachi chicken is excellent, too. You don't need any additional sauce to add to it, even though you're provided with some in a squeeze bottle if you choose to add some. My husband always likes to add the sauce but for me it's not needed. The atmosphere is relatively intimate because it's a small place. It's been fairly quiet whenever we've gone and we appreciate spending time there eating and chatting. The price is reasonable and the service is good. Truly no complaints. One of our favorite spots.

The portion size felt fair for the price--especially since hibachi prices have gone up everywhere lately. I was a little bummed that I couldn't swap the garlic noodles for extra rice without an additional charge, but honestly, I'm glad I kept the noodles--they were really good. I'd actually recommend not switching them out. They even put me on to udon (yudon) noodles, which I ended up really liking so much that now I want to try making them at home. One thing to note: they do have seating inside, but it's limited, so if you plan to dine in, try not to go during busy hours. One concern: my stomach did hurt a bit after eating. I'm not sure if it was the white sauce or something else, so I plan to give this place one more try to see if it happens again. If it does, that might be an issue--but for now, I'm willing to go back and test it out. Overall, good food, solid portions, and worth trying if you're in the mood for hibachi. I'll be back with an update after my next visit!

Looking for fast and friendly service? Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for.

We visited Hibachi Pit in Concord to celebrate Team Appreciation Week. Since we are big fans of…read moretheir affiliate, The Smoke Pit, we had high hopes for the food quality--and they did not disappoint! Our party of 8 had a bit of a bumpy start. We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time!

A New Sushi Obsession: 5 Stars for a Flawless First Visit!…read more It's rare that a first-time visit completely knocks it out of the park, but this place is doing something special. If you are a sushi lover, stop reading this and just go. The Starters We kicked things off with the Tora Poke Tuna appetizer, and honestly, I could have ordered three more and called it a night. The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and had that melt-in-your-mouth quality that sets great sushi apart from the "just okay" spots. The Roll Breakdown The sushi rolls here are creative, generous with the portions, and--most importantly--high quality. * Tuna on Tuna Roll: For the purists who can't get enough, this is a masterpiece. Double the tuna, double the flavor. It really showcased the freshness of their catch. * Queen Charlotte Roll: I'll be honest, I was on the fence about the strawberry salsa. Fruit on sushi can be a gamble, but trust me: it is a must-try. The sweetness of the salsa cuts through the richness of the fish perfectly. It's a total flavor bomb. * Carolina Roll: I really liked this one, though it's definitely the "indulgent" choice. It's fried and features cream cheese, which I loved, but it's worth noting that it's quite heavy. If you aren't a fan of tempura-style or creamy rolls, it might not be your vibe--but if you are, it's a home run. The Verdict The atmosphere was great, the service was attentive, and the food was phenomenal. It's safe to say I've found my new favorite spot. 1000% will be back to see what else they have up their sleeve!
