Solo Brunch Experience: Clean Atmosphere, Mixed Flavors. I visited Sakura for brunch recently and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the restaurant was exceptionally clean and spacious with plenty of seating. Since I visited during brunch, it was quite empty, which made for a quiet meal, though it did feel a bit pricey for a solo diner. The Food: Chicken Winng-ers! The were the winners, here. Chicken wings: were easily the highlight of the meal. They arrived crispy and super hot, as if they had just come straight from the kitchen. Sushi: The sushi was okay--decent enough, but not particularly memorable. Disappointments: Unfortunately, several other dishes didn't quite hit the mark. The lobster was far too salty to eat, the ribs were dry and lacked flavor, and the fried scallops were very greasy. Service: I found the staff to be not the friendliest during my visit, which added to the overall "blah" feeling of the food. While this specific meal wasn't for me given the price point (around $28.99 for the buffet), I appreciated the cleanliness of the space. I'm always happy to support local spots, but for the price, I was hoping for a bit more consistency in the food quality. Not a bad deal for $29 during holidays, they have ginger scallion lobster. The place is roomy but very limited on their food selections. Surprisingly the sushi was very limited as well with a lot of rice. Their sashimi was not fresh so I would opt out of it. Cold appetizers were not bad and I was surprised they didn't have a regular salad bar like most buffet would. This one also does not have a hibachi station compared to its competitors on the island. Parking is challenging but they do offer 2 hours free parking at the lot if you have 4 or more people and only during dinner time. The lobster was not fresh and the meat was mushy. Snow crab legs were good. Overall, I think they have to work through their selections and frequency on refilling their food as there is a few options on the island with an abundance of options. read more

This was such a nice buffet. Super clean, well lit, plenty of tables, staff was nice, abs superb. This buffet is a lot closer to home so we gave it a try. Prices were reasonable. Food was good. Seafood options were great. Sushi looked amazing as well. Few things my family were looking for were white rice (they do have, you just have to ask), an ice cream machine (they do have frozen hard ice cream -no toppings), more dessert options, and more sauce options. Little things that can be solvable. But I'd def be back. My kid loved the fried chicken and my family loved everything else about it. It's nice to eat and then walk around the outlets. The service is typical buffet style. The waiter takes your drink order right after showing you to your table. This place is an exceptionally clean buffet. The food comes out of the kitchen fresh and hot. I haven't been to a buffet in years, but this was a pleasant experience. The food is very good. The service is good. I rate SAKURA SUSHI & GRILL BUFFET a 1-star because they all people to eat over the food that is on the food line. You do not go to a food line and put food on your plate and then use your fingers to eat some of that food that's on your plate instead of going to your table you go to put additional food on your plate. Now you're greasing up the utensils and your cross contaminating those additional utensils. THIS IS NASTY. THIS IS UNSANITARY. THIS IS HOW CROSS CONTAMINATION OCCURS. When the management is informed about a customer putting food on their plate and then eating some of that food over the rest of the food at the buffet and then adding more food to their plate and eating that food over the buffet food line this is incredibly sad and unprofessional to do nothing about it. THIS IS NASTY. THIS IS UNSANITARY. THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE MEANS ON HOW CROSS-CONTAMINATION HAPPENS. I frequent this establishment and I enjoy their fresh sushi. The hostess is always friendly and the sushi is delicious.

Unfortunately, our visit ruined a birthday celebration. We had previously had breakfast at your restaurant and really enjoyed it, which is why we decided to celebrate a birthday here. Based on the photos, we expected something special and delicious. Sadly, the reality was very disappointing. On the weekend, some items that were available at breakfast -- such as boiled beef and desserts -- were not offered. The oysters were available, but they were impossible to eat due to a very strong, unpleasant smell and awful taste. The lobster tail was drowned in grease, making it inedible. Ironically, the food quality at breakfast was much better than on the weekend, even though weekend prices were almost twice as high. There were very few vegetables. The mozzarella sticks were simply a solid piece of cheese that wasn't even melted. The sushi that had been sitting out for a while was dried out; the avocado was black instead of fresh green. It was extremely disappointing and upsetting. We specifically postponed the celebration to the weekend to come to your restaurant, expecting a much higher level of quality. read more

The place is nice and the food was great but customer services sucks and needs improvement like the first time I went there after I got off my 12 hour shift it was going very well around the beginning but when it was towards the end when I was gonna pay for my food, when 4 waitresses came to make sure I payed at the front even tho it was my first time being there, I felt discriminated against like damn do I look that suspicious that you need that many people so to make sure I can pay 20 dollars? and I still left a tip , second time it was good at first but it seems like it's always at the very end when you're gonna pay that they drop the nice friendly act and don't try to hide anymore, and they rushed me to pay quickly with a attitude keep in mind the place wasn't busy around that time :( , again place is beautiful and love the sushi there but I don't think I'm gonna come back read more

This recently opened Sakura location has some good as well as some not so good features. It is apparently the only functioning restaurant on the entire 4th floor of the Empire Outlets Mall. So it's an isolated place to be visiting at night. I recommend taking the elevator directly from the underground parking garage to get to it. The staff smiles and is welcoming. One major problem that stands out is the very peculiar floor plan! There's sloping floors, steps, ramps, and tight awkward corners to try to reach some of the steamed items. Worst of all is where they located the sushi & sashimi counter. It's very near the main entrance and has inadequate shields protecting the food. The dining area is nicely decorated and has comfortable seating in booths or at tables. The food selection is typical for a Chinese buffet. There's plenty of seafood to choose from if you're having the dinner menu (this is priced much higher than the lunch menu, of course). If you're looking for an unlimited abundance of food for your meal then you'll probably be satisfied here. read more
