I can't tell if it's the seafood or the soy sauce, but something is always super salty. Very mediocre. I feel like the safest bet is go with fried or cooked rolls.. Honestly, I don't even understand how this place is still in business. Every time I go here no matter which time of day, I'm usually the only person there. Ambience is a very dim lit spot. Takes a longer time to adjust your eye trying to read the menu from being outside. Then the waiters will be over in under five minutes to ask if you already know what you want to order... I stopped going there for 3 years since every time it was either low quality or so so service. Nothing has changed. I got a tuna roll , a fried roll "the volcano" and yellowtail handroll. The tuna had a fishy taste, the volcano was alright but wouldn't get it again. The yellowtail hand roll ended up being skimped on meat and seaweed was extra chewy. Which I didn't fully finish the handroll..

Human Hair on Shrimp Tempura.

We ordered from Sakura March 27, 2021 and several issues with the food happened. The Shrimp Teriyaki Bento Box had shrimp tempura with human hair on it. The Children's Hibachi Shrimp had 1 shrimp and was all chicken. We received a refund of $14 for all of those problems. Our entire bill on this order was $147. The Bento Box was $29 and the Hibachi Shrimp was $17. Using simple math, $14 is not an adequate solution to this problem. We probably will not order from this establishment again. The portions are adequate, the quality ok, the flavor/taste ok, but the issues with the actual order and reparations for incorrect or missing ingredients as well as the issue with hygiene will prevent us frequenting this restaurant.

$1 for a half filled cup ridiculous

My husband and I love this place - the spicy crunchy tuna roll and pink lady roll are my favorites!

I went there during Happy Hour and ordered a lychee martini with extra lychee nuts. It came out strong because of the extra shot of vodka that I requested. I also ordered a Yellow Tail Jalapeño Hand Roll, an Alaskan Hand Roll, and a Kani Salad. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the kani salad was so good. The atmosphere is cozy casual, making it the perfect place to go to with family and friends or on date night. Because of the consistently excellent service, cocktails and food, not to mention the vast parking lot, Takumi is now my favorite sushi restaurant on the Island.

The decor was beautiful; I really liked the consistent use of their logo, proudly illuminated at all the tables, which gave the space a sophisticated appearance. Even the menus were nicely done. I found myself gazing at the pictures instead of picking out my meal. To start we ordered the Japanese Clear Soup and the King's Treasure Roll. Both starters were delicious. The soup was served hot, lightly seasoned, and it really felt like comfort in a bowl. The treasure roll was good; we just had a hard time trying to pick it up with the chopsticks, as it was very slippery. With a little patience, we managed to get it. For beverages, we went with the Blueberry Lemonade and Virgin Mojito. Although both were decent, they were a little underwhelming and could've used more flavor. Next time, I might just order the Pineapple or Mango Virgin Mojito to see if it's any better. Our Entrees were great. My husband ordered the Spicy Crabmeat Crusted Filet Mignon, and he demolished it. I chose to go with two specialty rolls, The American Dream Roll and Rock N Roll, both fantastic. For dessert, we chose the Matcha Cheesecake and the 3 Flavor Tempura Ice Cream (vanilla, chocolate, and green tea). The cheesecake itself didn't have a strong Matcha taste, but that matcha ice cream was all the way IT! I could've had a bowl of that and been very satisfied. Really, their ice cream game is solid, so good! Lastly, our server Nicole was the cherry on top. She was so welcoming and attentive, offering suggestions, and providing descriptions of the menu items, she never made us feel bad for asking "What's That". All in all, we had an awesome experience at Takumi and look forward to visiting again.

It was a perfect size for two people. I'm glad we ordered this app, and I would get it again. This ramen hit the spot! So tasty, and a nice size portion. We had an excellent lunch at Takkii Ramen!…read more We were NOT a fan of the ordering system which consisted of us choosing what we wanted on an Ipad, rather than placing our order with a server at our table. When we needed to omit our order to leave a couple items off the ramen, we had to go to the counter so they could edit it (edits are not available on the iPad). This was a very cold ambiance to what could be a more welcoming start to a visit. We ordered appetizers of vegetable gyoza and takoyaki, and a couple pork ramen soups. The food was absolutely delicious and they got our orders correct. I just felt like we didn't get to know our server since we didn't get to directly place our order with them, and they weren't too attentive throughout the visit. We would definitely return for their wonderful food, but I hope that by the time we come back, they have regular table service!

Who wants warm cake? I don't even know why anybody would think that's acceptable. The teriyaki chicken over rice was proably the best out of all the items ordered. The ramens were very subpar. I wouldn't return.

This is a brand new addition to Woodbury and we are so glad to have it. Plenty of booths, tables and hightops in a beautiful setting make this a perfect night out for an upscale meal that won't break the bank. When given the option we will most usually sit at the bar to take everything in and there is seating for about a dozen patrons there with plenty of elbow room. A private lot makes parking a breeze as well. There is a separate room for the chef's tasting menu and we are told that the menu changes frequently. There could be a line sometimes depending on when you come, but that's the only issue you'd probably run into. I had the all you can eat here and it was fantastic. They have many traditional rolls like Philadelphia, California, Tuna, etc. Alongside those, they have a ton of special rolls like the Roger Roll (sushi roll with crab) Kani Naruto (almost like a reversed California roll), etc. The food comes out very quick and is presented really nicely, the staff is knowledgeable on ingredients, and I loved how the menu had a star next to meals that have allergens that people tend to have. Much like other places in this genre, one price gets you bottomless apps, salads, hibachi, sushi and more. Nothing I had tasted bad in any way, but there were some things I wasn't crazy about, and they all reeked of cheaping out. First, sashimi is an upcharge, a bit ridiculous in my book. And while the food was indeed tasty, there was a whole lot of filler and minimal seafood much of the time. Kani salad was almost entirely cucumber & tempura flakes, very little crab to be found. And this is the first time I've ever seen soft shell crab served chopped up - typically a spider roll for example is a nice size piece of it in there, but their 'jimmy roll' whatever crab may have been in there was minced to the point where you couldn't even taste it. While I didn't order hibachi I noticed that they limit you to one order from that column per person. The Little things like this made the experience feel cheapened, I'd rather they raise the cost a buck or two and stop with the upcharges and corner cutting, makes you feel a lot less ripped off. Also important to note - skip they white tuna, they're using escolar. You've been warned. Would I come back? If in the area with a group that wanted to go here, sure. But I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it or even choose to dine here on my own again.
