This review is for take out/delivery I ordered tonkatsu ramen and seafood udon soup but they put the broth in with the noodles instead of separating them so both soup noodles are soggy when they arrive. Also they used ramen noodles for my seafood udon soup instead of udon noodles. Both soups are soggy and tasteless. read more

Good sushi and service. Ordered hot sake, gyoza, agedashi tofu, sweet potato roll, eel roll, sakura roll, and twin roll. Everything tasted good. The twin roll threw me off a bit with the double tuna in which I re-read the description and it was literally tuna on tuna - would've like it more if it was two different textures versus the same tuna in and out. But probably my bad for not understanding the description- I love spicy tuna but it was too much IMO. Casual ambience. I'd return, worth checking out if your in the area. read more

Sashimi lunch special was "by far" the thickest cuts ever and on top of my favorite radish instead of carrot lately everywhere else, I could kiss the chef! Had a rainbow roll which was full of fresh cuts. The spicy scallop hand roll is my favorite anywhere I go so it's a must. Although it was delicious, I had to dock a star for crumbling apart. Tighten that shit up guys! The taste was killer and I'm not sure if it is the Sapporos talking but I just ordered another hand roll! This place is every bit of 5 stars otherwise! read more

I had the beef steak bento box. I am glad I did because it was the only think I could eat. The California rolls were really bad! I tried eating just the shrimp but I found that was what smelled so bad in my box. The shrimp shredded into weird little pieces as I tried to remove it from the soggy seaweed. It smelled like really old fish that had been soaked in a bleach mixture. The two breaded shrimp were awful. It tasted like it was fried in really old oil. My partner is a BIG eater. He didn't even finish half his entree. He is usually finished before I even start, but not this time. Service was "ok". We sat for quite awhile before we got drinks or were able to order. When you enter, there is a very strong odor of old fish. Now I know why. Very sad. I really love Japanese food. If they have sukiyaki, I did not see it on the menu. My menu had an old dried piece of shredded carrot in it! Had it not been a busy Friday night, we would have eaten elsewhere. read more

Went there for my husband's birthday. Food was good, although one dish came cold. We were presented with the bill and gave them a credit card and gift card. When Tha card was brought back, there was a bill for a different amount. We compared the 2 bills to find and extra item was added for $15.. The manager came over and said he would stop the kitchen from making it. Like we ordered it. NOT. He didn't apologize or offer to comp us anything. Our bill for just 2 of us was over $70. He just wanted our card back to credit us. We told him that we would consider that part of the tip. We did add a tip as we did not feel the waitress deserved to loose out. We were not loud or obnoxious. We did not cause a scene. The manager should have offered us something for the mistake. We wonder how many other people have things added to their bills without knowing or checking? read more

If you are into sushi and happen be north, this place is for you. They have one of the best rolls I've had in a long, long time. The rice to fish/ingredients ratio is amazing --rolled so thin, you know it was done like how it should. Traditional sushi maki rolls are not supposed to be rolled in an inch thick of rice, but so many places make it that way to give the illusion of a bigger piece while sacrificing how sushi maki is suppose to be and fill you up on carbs. The taste and flavor should be in the subtle ingredients inside the maki and not because it was drenched with sauce. This place did everything right when it came to the maki. They also had flavorful and good balance of broth in their udon, and their Lo Mein and Rainbow fried rice was tasty with surprising, chicken that was tender and not over cooked like most places. They were surprisingly adept with Japanese and Chinese flavors and their menu was impressive. Their biggest area of opportunity could be customer service. Our waitress didn't seem too friendly or eager to service and was in a rush but other than that, no other issues so it didn't stop us from having a good meal. They seem busy enough and had patrons that were keeping the place going. Business is good when you make good food. read more

Date of visit: 5/3/22 A friend that lives in the area deemed this his favorite Asian restaurant in the area. As someone who recently determined that if they were forced at gunpoint to pick a favorite type of food that it would be Chinese, I was very interested in what this place had to offer though in the end, it is not something that I was very excited about and would consider some other options the next time I'm in the area. The server was a brusque gentleman, all business and no pleasantries. I would have been fine with that if he didn't disappear at the end of the meal. On the positive side, the hot towel he brought was a nice touch. While I'm not crazy about the waste of the disposable warm towelette, it was nice after a long day. My friend went with the chicken teriyaki, and he gave me the two shrimp that accompanied his dish as he doesn't eat seafood. Didn't love them. I also didn't care for the mushroom I tried from his dish, and I love mushrooms. As for my meal, my sesame chicken was definitely the most...orange dish of this kind that I have ever seen, to the point where I was sure I had been given orange chicken instead of sesame chicken. My order was correct, it's just a bit of an unusual preparation, though not poorly done or making me want to come running back, either. The broccoli that came with was a bit undercooked and far too large to eat at an establishment that does not provide you with a knife. The leftovers did warm up well the following day, so I appreciated that. read more

I have been here twice now. First time I got a Salmon Bento Box that was amazing. The shumai dumplings were hands down the best I have ate. This time i over did it got the wonderful chive and shrimp dumplings, yellowtail, red snapper and eel nigiri. Then the tempura udon came. I was expecting two pieces of tempura and the udon soup. NOPE! A huge bowl of udon in a very tasty dashi with multiple pieces of tempura fried shrimp and vegetables. I could not finish it sadly. This place is very much worth it. The wait staff was very attentive and seemed to check up on us at the right time refilling drinks, getting what we need, etc. The food was good we got their Autumn roll which was packed full of fresh fish and topped with salmon, tobiko and jalapeño! The other item we got was love boat for 2, it came with 2 misos, 2 salads, 1 California roll, a dragon roll, 10 pc sushi and 12 pc sashimi. The sashimi chunks were generously sized. All in all, it wasn't bad coming out here and trying another sushi place, just be prepared to spend a bit of money if you are getting their sushi. Over all the roll was fresh and tasted very good the crazy boy was hot as it should the kani roll wasn't what I was expecting but I definitely loved it . The service was nice was welcomed and given and warm towel when we sat down followed by menus . We ordered server was on standby in case we needed anything . Service was decent, the restaurant staff at front and our server were friendly enough, the boss lady was nicer than the servers sushi chef, Salim was very friendly, the food doesn't disappoint, we go there for their crispy salmon skin rolls and McHenry rolls, and their beef fried rice. The decor is simple, enough lighting, don't get fooled it looks dark from the outside .
