Then I called Eye Care for Rhode Island. I had an appointment within a half an hour. The office was immaculate, the staff was efficient and friendly. They do offer additional services (such as the add on exam several reviewers mentioned), but in my experience, it was clear those were additional services not covered by insurance. The price was clearly communicated to me and I was given the option to purchase or decline. Not dissimilar to the way you are offered furniture protection or phone insurance for other purchases! Staff was responsive and friendly, and my eye doctor was kind and knowledgeable. They are now my primary eye care location. I also was able to peruse the lens store, trying on many options in the process. The staff member in this area also helped me understand my insurance and what could be covered.

Fortunately I decided to go to visionworks and Ann took EXCELLENT care of me! Within 15 minutes I had new frames and was able to see, all for under 50.00! I only had the contacts on my eyes and had slept in them. I let them know the issue and showed them my scrip and they worked with the doctor to give me a few trial pairs of daily contacts under my prescription. They did not have to do that but I was glad they helped me in a time of desperation. Learned my lesson, but you saved my vacation weekend and I am very grateful for how I was treated.

Sadly last night my glasses snapped. I decided to go back to them this morning. The same lady showed up 6 minutes late and proceeded to tell me to take my frames to Pawtucket to get them fixed. I tried to see if I could just buy new frames, while she blew me off twice to answer the phone. What a joke! I really don't understand how this spot could make any money with attitude like that. Really can't wait for Costco to show up in Rhode Island
