I moved up to the peninsula recently from San Jose and finding a new lash tech was one of my top priorities! I found Sakishima Lashes thanks to yelp and took a peek at her Instagram. Loved her work through photos but saw she wasn't accepting new clients and had a waitlist. Thankfully this was 3 months before my move so I expressed interest and she told me to message her again closer to my move. I guess one of her clients moved away so I got lucky and I'm glad! She's in a little studio tucked away, but it is close to Belmont Caltrain station and was just a 15 minute walk from my apartment. I love that she put lash decorations on her door to make it easier to find :) Cindy is very warm, loving, and friendly. I had just met her and she was already treating me like I was a client of hers for years. I had lashes on already from my previous place and she said she could work with what was there vs needing an entirely new set. She also asked me what look I wanted to achieve and she said it would take a couple more sessions since we are building off what's already there. My life changed for the better when I discovered lash extensions! I used to curl and wear mascara daily, and extensions save me so much time. And who doesn't love waking up and looking fabulous. Cindy is the best lash lady. Well to be fair she was my first and only...but I seriously can't rave enough about her work. I've been seeing her for 15 months now, and even after I moved to SF proper, I still drive down to San Mateo for my appointments. Cindy is really quick - my initial classic set took about 90 minutes and hybrid/volume fills are just over 60 minutes. Her work is precise, and my lashes stay on so well. Granted, I'm very diligent about not letting my lashes touch water or makeup, but my extensions last easily a month. Booking is easy online or via text, and prices are very fair for the Bay Area. She has her own private studio space, which is great during the pandemic as well - I feel safer with just two of us in a room (mask on, of course). I am addicted to extensions now and look forward to my monthly appointments. It feels almost therapeutic, since you lie there for 1+ hours with your eyes closed. I even nap sometimes. I got my lashes done by Cindy in May and have been going ever since. I normally get them done and don't keep up but they look SO good that I want to keep maintaining them. The most amazing lash tech you're ever going to find! My extensions look so amazing every time. I've been coming to Cindy for over a year and I haven't had a single trip that wasn't worth it. It's been a week since I got my lashes done by Cindy and they still look great. It's no surprise that your lashes are going to look amazing on day one, but the true skill and expertise shows once a few days pass. Before Cindy, after a few days, the lashes would start falling off and twisting and turning in weird directions. I can really tell now that Cindy's application and products that she uses are far superior because the lashes for the most part have stayed pretty much intact, which is really surprising!
