I truly enjoyed my time here. I love the concept. I got hibachi and got to eat my chips and salsa and have a pitcher of margs with my friends. It was a great time. Service was good. The place was nice. It took over where Bonefish used to be. I would definitely be back. I enjoyed my fried rice. I enjoyed my meal. Tons of drink options and food options.

Fusion Meal - steak tacos and a sushi roll

My daughter wanted to give this place a try as it has both of her favorites...Mexican and Japanese. While the restaurant serves both fares, the interior looks like your typical Mexican restaurant. The food was good and the quantities were large, but you do pay a higher price than a typical Mexican restaurant. We eat Mexican once or twice a week because we love it and it is cheap. This place is definitely not cheap. Our check was around $90 for four of us with no alcohol. With that being said, we did have leftovers due to the large portion size. I personally would rather pay less for a normal sized dish. Both the Mexican and the gala was were good. My daughter's sushi roll was so fat that she had a hard time getting it in her mouth. Bottom line, if you are super hungry, give them a try.

I absolutely love this place! My husband and I come once, maybe twice, a week for their 2x1 hibachi sushi on tuesdays! The food is great! I love that I get chips and salsa and a 2x1 margarita and a 2x1 hibachi plate for a really decent price! The servers are always so nice and quick. Their service is great! 10/10 would recommend. The margaritas are really great too!

My lunch for today!

Tuesday lunch plans were at Sake vs Tekila at the Cordova location. It was fun meeting up with one of my lunch crews. I had the combo 1 Maki sushi roll and two chicken tacos with corn tortillas. The sushi roll I ordered was tempura shrimp. Friends at the table ordered queso dip and guacamole dip. Both dips were fantastic. I would order those again. My tacos were seasoned well and were good with the hot sauce. My sushi was meh but okay. My friends had the two for one hibachi steak combo and mentioned it was quite good. Service was good. Our server was nice and tried hard to speak in English. The restaurant is decorated with Japanese and Mexican murals which is different. It also has colorful flags hanging across the main part of the dining area. It was fun. If I return, I will stick to the Mexican food. The menu is quite extensive with all of the different choices of foods.

I came here today because I couldn't decide if I wanted Mexican or Habachi food today. Sake vs Yekila was able to satisfy my taste for both. I ordered A cheese dip appetizer but the meal still came with soup and salad. Portions are huge and they are reasonably priced meals. Waitress was attentive and was knowledgeable of menu. The establishment was clean and not overly crowded.

Sake VS Tekila on a Saturday night was a good experience. At first I was perplexed by the concept, but it seems to actually work well! Last night they had a saxophone player who played popular songs of all genres, very talented and added to the experience. The drinks are good! A little on the strong side. I enjoyed the carne asada plate with rice and beans. Fairly authentic and up to par with the better Mexican restaurants in the area. Looking forward to trying the sushi next time!

I was skeptical about this restaurant but I'm very glad I tried it. The menu is extensive so you must take some time. The food was served in large portions. The service was good and the server was knowledgeable about the menu. The bar has 4 gigantic TVs so watching a game would be great. My margarita was very good and the consistency was very smooth. All the food we ordered was good. They have great daily specials.

The food is pretty good. Ordering is a pain in the butt. Our waitress didn't understand half of what we ordered. She didn't seem to understand English or Spanish. We had to open the menus and point to items and even then she sometimes just shrugged and said "I don't know". My wife ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. It was as clear as water and tastes like crap. Twice. They had mo idea how ro make it. We asked if we could talk to the bartender and was told no. Even though the food we finally figured out how to order was good, the frustration in ordering will keep us away.

I've heard of fusion, but this is a mix I did not expect. I literally wanted sushi, but my hubby wanted burritos, and we both were able to get exactly what we wanted! Plus, the complimentary chips and salsa was right on time. I'll definitely visit again.

We were seated upon arrival. We ordered. Food delivered fresh and hot. The Music was playing very low . I appreciate that ! However, there were fruit flies that I had to constantly fan. I covered my food and drink with a napkin. The margarita was refreshing.

This is really a great spot. My husband and I have been multiple times since it opened about a month ago. Each time we are greeted with friendly service and great food. The ambiance is great too with Mexican music. I love starting with the margaritas and chips & salsa. Then I twist things up by getting hibachi or sushi. This is a great combo for the food that everyone wants when you can't decide. I can't wait to return.

Great service & a LOT of options to choose from. Classic Hispanic-TexMex vibe, with chips given to each table; with a Japanese inspired twist.

Jaguar roll and Cajun tuna nigiri.
Melissa T.

This was our first visit at any Sake vs Tequila. The salsa is some of the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant. We did stick with just sushi this visit and there will definitely be back. I had the Jaguar roll which was absolutely delicious, the seared white tuna had a perfect smoky taste and I had the Cajun tuna nigiri which was some of the most buttery soft tuna I've had anywhere. My friend had the Spider-Man Roll which I normally don't care Spider Rolls but this one was delicious too and she had the salmon nigiri. Both rolls and the nigiri were extremely fresh and large rolls and large pieces of nigiri. The only complaint is the menu didn't indicate how both rolls were spicy which was fine for me but burned my friend up lol. We finished with sharing the fried ice cream (no picture we ate it too fast! Highly recommend this place and will be back!

The food was excellent and we had a great server (Maggie) who helped us navigate the menu and the array of complimentary sauces. We ordered chips and dip (homemade) and this is not the standard bagged chips with salsa bottle. Crisp and substantial chips with fresh, flavorful, slightly spicy salsa. Really good! Maggie recommended the Birria Burrito with consume for my husband. Wow!!! Loaded with tender and flavorful shredded beef, whole beans, rice, and cheese in a grilled tortillia wrapper with a rich and hearty consume. He has a healthy appetite and still took some home. I got 2 alpastor tacos, which were excellent. Tender and flavorful pork with just enough pineapple. I alsi had a grilled chicken taco that was good, but not as luscious as the pastor. We LOVED the sauces. Yes, you got some mighty heat with a few of these, but they never sacrificed flavor for the sake of heat. Great pickled onion and habenaros, fresh crisp radish and cucumber, smokey, spicy dips. What is not to love!! Churos for desert, sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. Clean, well lit reasurant. Casual. Friendly service, great parking!! We will be back (and bring friends!)

I got the Fresco bowl I think its called, no protein. Bland, the little bit of guacamole they had ion there? No taste. The flight of salsa was so so. Hubs wanted to try a margarita. That was the best thing about the whole experience. $70 later for two people the only thing we have to show for it was my hubs waking up from sleep later on sick-three times. He ate nothing else after our lunch besides fruit so you do the math. So yes, our first time will be our last. My daughter has been here with friends and said the only thing she enjoyed was her drink so this may just be a good place for drinks.

Definably family owned and operated as the small grandkids are helping by busing and delivering menu items. Good Vibes served here!
