What a great sushi experience here tonight. They have a kiosk at every table where you can place your order. Our waiter Peter is the best. Very efficient and great service. Gets our dishes right away! We ordered the spicy tuna roll, karaage, and agedashi fried tofu. Everything was good except for the fried tofu. It was heavily coated with corn starch and didn't have the light fry taste. What a bummer as I'm a big fan of agedashi tofu. We got the Crunch Roll, Onion Blossom Roll, Baked Tempura roll and their Tempura Udon. All dishes were delicious. I like how they make your rolls fresh and you get a good portion size. Service here is great and they replenish your beverages without even asking. For birthdays they give you a slice of cheesecake to enjoy and they play a disco light show birthday song. Today was a taiyaki covered with cream so that was a nice touch to our meal. There's is a Yelp waitlist check in area but you have to be on site to put your name in the system. I think you get what you pay for here. If you love rolls then this is the place for you. There's so many rolls to choose from it can be a bit overwhelming lol. If you want to eat just fish, I think there are better places you can eat. It can get kind of loud in here especially for dinners and if there's a rush so maybe not the best place to have conversation. read more

Was very satisfied and shocked by their workflow. There was a line but we were seated very quickly. All of our food came within 10min. It was packed it there was only 1-2 servers on our side but our server Oscar was still able to check up on us frequently . Immediately when we were done with a plate, the busser was quick to grab . We were a bit intimidated because it looked crowded when we first got there, but the restaurant is so large and we were seated within 5 minutes. They were all super well-made! The edamame and grilled salmon belly were seasoned very well, and the chicken cutlet was crispy but still juicy. Of course my favorite part was the sushi. The staff are attentive, the bussers are always pre-bussing and the atmosphere is lively, it can be a bit too dark for older crowds. If your dining in anytime after 7pm, be sure to make reservations. Sometimes the wait line be out the door. They have another location off of Newport but in my opinion that location is not as good and much much smaller. First time ordering from here and sadly I wont be back. The Grilled Squid looked so good that I had to try this place. I ordered the Grilled Squid, Salmon Collar, Popcorn Scallops, Rock Shrimp and Chicken Teriyaki appetizers. The grilled squid were a HUGE disappointment. It was described on the menu as Grilled Squid slices garnished with a blend of spices. The squid didnt have a single grill mark on any piece. The tentacles were rubber and none of the pieces had any blend of any spice on them. It was bland steamed squid. The Popcorn scallops had no flavor as well. They were they bay ones so they should have been sweet. They had a off putting flavor so I had to dip them in the spicy mayo and eel sauce that came with one of the dishes just to get them down. The Rock Shrimp were good. They were cooked correctly and when dipped into the sweet chili sauce they were tasty. The Salmon Collar had a big portion but half of the fish was overcooked while they other half (the fatty parts) were delicious. The skin was crispy enough to eat as well. The only seasoning on the fish was huge pieces of black pepper. Not a good compliment to the the fish. It also came with some tomato type sauce that was not a compliment to the fish either. The typical side of Ponzu that usually accompanies Salmon Kama was no where to be seen. Luckily I keep some in the fridge. The last dish I ordered was Chicken Teriyaki. It had some grill marks on it, but nothing close to what the photo of the dish looked like. It was cooked through tho so it was good enough to eat. If you are going to advertise grilled food then make sure it has the grill marks. Thats why people order it. I didnt order any sushi so I maybe thats where this place shines but after getting what I got the first time around I wont be back. Sorry. read more

I had a very disappointing experience with my order. I had guests over, but unfortunately we ended up barely being able to eat anything. The miso soup had completely spilled inside the bag, the edamame was covered in an extremely spicy sauce even though it wasn't described as spicy, and even my guests who love spicy food couldn't eat it. The sushi was also very poor in both quality and appearance. Overall, nothing arrived as expected and it was a really unfortunate experience. Since I placed the order through Uber Eats, I reached out to them for support, but unfortunately, they were no help at all. I ended up canceling my Uber One membership as well.
