We went on Friday night and had a really disappointing experience. We waited well over an hour and a half for our food, and throughout the wait we were repeatedly told it was "being plated" and would be out shortly. The restaurant only had about five tables filled the entire time, which made the delay even more confusing. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and lukewarm, making it seem like it had been sitting for quite some time before being brought to the table. Our server was kind and doing their best, but the communication and overall handling of the delay were not acceptable. No discount or accommodation was offered, despite the excessive wait and poor food quality. To make matters worse, three people in our group got food poisoning after eating there, and all three had burgers. Overall, the experience was extremely frustrating and unfortunately ruined our night. Spending nearly $700 for this level of service and food quality was honestly shocking. read more

I went to Saint on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had the best time! Saint is a small and intimate place, with great music and friendly bartender and wait staff. I am usually a vodka drinker, but decided to try the Love Elixir drink, which has Hennessy, and it was such a sweet and tasty drink; definitely 10/10. For dinner we both ordered the lamb chops, I got the Parmesan crusted lamb chops and my friend ordered the soy garlic. They each come with four lamb chops and both were delicious. We also got an order of the mac n cheese trio, which was out of this world! I'll definitely be coming back here to check out their brunch. read more

We came to celebrate a birthday with a small party of 4. We were really interested in the speakeasy part of the restaurant but were not able to see it because there was a private event. There was a little wait for the entire party to arrive so we sat at the bar while waiting. The bartender that made our drinks was friendly and attentive. I had the Watermelon... Sugar High (with Don Julio, not the house tequila) and the hubs had an Old Fashioned. both drinks were really well made. The only question was when we closed our tab to sit for dinner, there was an upcharge on the Old Fashioned which didn't make sense because house whiskey was used and there should not have been any additional charge for that drink. For food: we ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese (amazing), the NY Steak (seasoned well and cooked perfectly), the Fried Whole Branzino (melted in my mouth and seasoned nicely), New Zealand Lamb (I didn't try this but there were no complaints) and the truffle fries (really good but a small portion. Overall the food and drinks were really good and everyone was friendly and attentive. Be mindful that the prices on the website are lower than they are in the actual restaurant. read more

Came here on a Friday night with a reservation and our seat was ready exactly on the time we had our reservation. It seemed like there was five tables up front by the entrance of the restaurant and they were all filled. This restaurant seemed really big, when I went to the bathroom I got a little lost downstairs. There was a lot of rooms with really long hallways. I think they have a underground bar that possibly opens late night like a speakeasy. And on the other side in the basement there seems to be a huge room where they have parties. It was decorated really nice with green leaves all over the place. But on this evening I was here just to have dinner and they did not disappoint. I ordered the French onion soup for appetizer and my wife got the sea bass ceviche. Her sea bass tasted very fresh and delicious, while my French onion soup was also very good. It had a perfect layer of gooey cheese and a nice piece of toast on top like french onion soup should have. The waiter was really nice and he said the ceviche is his favorite dish on the menu and I can see why. For the main course I ordered the branzino and my wife ordered the grilled octopus with the side of mushrooms. The waiter then came out and said they ran out of branzino, so I ordered the lobster tail and shrimp on top of pasta. He said he would take care of me on the bill for that inconvenience. I didn't mind because the lobster tail and shrimp on top of pasta was delicious, it had a little bit of spice which I love. It was in a red sauce and it tasted very fresh. My wife loved her grilled octopus dish and she really enjoyed the mushrooms. The mushrooms tasted like it was cooked on top of a charcoal grill, it had that Smoky flavor on it. Very delicious. At the end of the night, the waiter informed us that my wife's second order of wine was on the house. Definitely appreciated. Where do I start.. my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday with dinner at Saint. She made a reservation for an inside table but when we got there we were seated outside in the patio. We decided not to say anything because we already got comfortable however it then started to rain. The roof in the garden had holes which caused the rain to get on us and the food. We told the waiter however all we were told is that the tables inside are full/ reserved and that our only option is to move the table away from the rain. Most of the girls had dresses on and their hair done which the rain ruined. It was also very cold with no heating in the outdoor area. Once the table was moved away from the rainy area we asked if the apps that got rained on can be replaced or if the birthday girl can get a drink on the house. The waiter did not seem to want to help and we proceeded to order the entrées. However by then all of our moods were down and the vibe was off. The server became passive aggressive. The food took a long time to come. We decided to just cancel the food and leave. At the end, we paid for our apps and the birthday girls drink was comped. For the apps we got the Mac and cheese which were bland and tasted very plain. We also ordered the calamari which was not crispy at all but at least it wasn't chewy. The drinks were good. Overall, I would avoid at all cost. Service is everything and this place did not even try to fix any of the issues and we all left very unhappy especially for a birthday party. We came here for the Frankenstein Lab pop up bar sponsored by Bucket Listers. I cannot comment on the food/drink quality of the main restaurant because we did not try it. The person working the front door was kind of dismissive but we didn't have to interact with them other than checking in and getting a drink ticket. I have never been here before and the place is huge. There is a massive downstairs area. This is where the Frankenstein pop up was. The bartender at the pop up was very friendly and kind. When we showed up, it was very quiet on a Wednesday but got much more crowded later on. The decor downstairs was well done for the pop up. I wish they had been playing Halloween music for the pop up. They were playing regular house dance music which didn't fit the theme of the pop up. There was plenty of seating downstairs so you did not have to worry about standing. There are at least 5+ bathrooms downstairs, although the one I used was not super clean and was missing toilet paper. I liked the interactive drinks they had that bubbled. Well worth the $20 ticket (inclusive of one drink). I'd try the regular restaurant for drinks and food, outside of the pop up experience. read more

The cheapest bottle of wine I saw was a white for about $47. This place had a white Bordeaux that I never had before with lots of notes of honey. Food was very good and the service was very speedy. One star was deducted because we were not able to put in any food orders until all of our members of the party arrived. They would only take appetizers and entree orders all together. I have a lot to say about this restaurant. First off it was incredibly difficult to secure a reservation for my large party. I admit I did change the reservation a couple times as people RSVPed and ended up having to push back my reservation a week due to a winter storm. However, they kept cancelling my reservation without a heads up, or changing my reservation to a party of 1 (honestly gave me a laugh but what the hell). Turns out it was a misunderstanding because they called me and thought I was a consistent no show but they thought I was making reservations for dates I wasn't even in town for? They were kind of rude about it lol but I guess that's fair if I was actually a no show. They asked me to put down a card for a $200 deposit for my reservation only after this call, as opposed to during reservation, but they never even used it. Sus. Anyways, once we get to the restaurant we are seated in the chandelier room in the back. The space is overall more intimate than I was expecting but very cute. Our waiter is super funny, honestly the highlight of our meal. We order drinks - 2 bottles of wine and 2 espresso martinis. In the course of our dinner we never got the espresso martinis because their bartender was so backed up lmao. Never had that happen before and the spot wasn't even fully packed lol. Then we ordered a bunch of food. The food came out pretty quickly and was pretty good. I recommend the pork belly and seabass (although the portion for this one was smaller than I expected). The portions here aren't massive overall but I think fine if you're ordering a large plate for yourself. We ordered a bunch of food to share. They also brought out a dessert for my birthday - a brownie with ice cream - which was really sweet. Anyways you would think all was fine at this point but unfortunately not. I paid for my bill through the inKind app which successfully went through on my end and showed the waiter. He said it was good. However, right before we left he mentioned the tan was still open in their system bc "inKind wasn't working that day" and asked us to put down another card. Our Uber was already waiting at this point so my boyfriend quickly paid with another card. I tried to look at the receipt and only briefly caught the total which I'm pretty sure was $20 more than mine..? But also if I got confirmation for paying on my phone why the fuck do we need to pay again? I waited to write my review to see if maybe the pending transaction on my card would go away on . It went through. In other words, they tried to SCAM us. I really wanted to enjoy my birthday dinner. This spot is cute, the food wasn't bad, and you can book reservations for large parties. However, the service sucks so I would save yourself the headache of trying to coordinate with them and dealing with potential scams. I swear I don't usually give this negative of reviews, but it seems like this restaurant struggles with the basic fundamentals of reservation organization and lacks a moral compass. read more

It was our fourth (we did smaller dinners in different cities for our wedding) and we by far got the best service from Meg than from anyone else we have worked with. I do not think the event would have gone so smoothly without her. She helped us curate some custom cocktails which were a big hit! I also really loved the space that our event was in- the secret garden room and I highly recommend it. The space is so cutely decorated with lots of green that we had a lot less work to do since we didn't need to bring in a bunch of stuff to create ambiance. The menu was full of crowd pleasers (the restaurant was good about accommodating guests' restrictions too) and truly all of our guests loved the whole reception. It's a cute spot by the village, inside there are two sessions of seating and there's a huge garden outside, the space inside is a bit loud, everyone was screaming I can barely hear anything from my 6 people table. Definitely not a place if you want a nice chill night to have conversation. The food choice is a bit limited. I had ASPAO which is a seafood soup with a little bit of the rice. I only recommend if you like soup and is hungry. There's a lot of broth but not a lot of seafood, half lobster on top is pretty small, either the clam or mussel still had sand so it was unpleasant when you bite on it. I don't recommend because for how much seafood is has, $39 is pretty high. Weird thing is that they charge credit card fee on the customer that's almost 4% that's a bit ridiculous. All these adds up. With 8% tax 4 cc charge and 20% tip, you have to pay basically 32% on top of the price listed. That's 1/3 of the meal. Not to mention that waiter forgot our wine refill order had to ask again. read more

Located right off of Saint Mark's, this is an odd location for a fancy restaurant. Feels like cultural appropriation however it's not like that hasn't been happening for this area. Place is very deep with a huge bar. Was surprised to see the place mostly empty but with a huge coatrack up front (see below). Service was generally good outside of 1 detail. They seemed more interested in pushing folks to their 'speakeasy' in the basement, which really was just a bar in a spare basement room packed with finance bros. No thanks. It got awkward how often they mentioned it towards when we were leaving. But I digress. Got a rum cocktail which was quite good, followed by a mediocre red and a great southern Italian white wine, so drink selection is nice. Got an array of apps to start. The tuna crudo was the best of the bunch; really fresh and well prepared, similar to what I've had at a good restaurant in Puerto Rico. Croquettes were a pleasant surprise with bold flavor. Black truffle burrata was a weird combo that kind of sort of worked, even if the parts were better than the whole. Shrimp ceviche didn't look great however it luckily was quite good. Mezze dips ranged from good (beetroot tzatziki) to blah (almond romenesco) however it's worth nothing I would never order this myself. I got the NY strip rare, which was just ok. Seared fine, doneness fine, seasoning fine--just an unremarkable cut of meat. Needed aging or more marbling. Didn't even finish it which was rare. Broccolini was good and it paired better with the XO sauce than the steak did, with the almonds being a bit wasteful. Would not order again, especially as my companions enjoyed their mains much more (especially the lamb). Skipped dessert. Saint was good enough, however not so much that I'd go out of my way to visit or stop going to my normal, less upscale haunts. There were other things on the menu which seemed more worthwhile too (ie: lobster gratin). Wouldn't shoot it down if offered another visit. read more

We had the dishes below: TUNA CRUDO 5/5 Watermelon radish, crispy shallots, yuzu chipotle vinaigrette. This was my favorite starter, it was acidic and worked really well with the cracker which almost reminded me of a mix between a cracker and an Indian papad. BLACK TRUFFLE BURRATA 5/5 Arugula, radish, date purée, honey, toasted baguette. The date purée really made this dish for me. BRUSSELS SPROUTS 3/5 Red miso garlic puree. I usually like Brussels sprouts but found these to be quite one dimensional and salty. OXTAIL PAPPARDELLE 4/5 Oxtail a jus, confit tomatoes, parmesan, ground crispy shallots. The pasta was cooked well. It was slightly sweet which I'm usually not a huge fan of. NZ LAMB CHOPS 5/5 Rosemary smashed fingerling potatoes, dill mojo. This was my favorite entree. I thought it was well done and well balanced. Came in a bed of well roasted smashed potatoes which I wish has a jus to go with it. I enjoyed it and it was very filling. SEARED SEABASS 5/5 Lemon bagna cauda, crispy potatoes, losada gordal olives. Moist sea bass over a bed of lemony potatoes. Overall, had a great experience. Cocktails were good. My friend who doesn't drink asked if they could make a non alcoholic cocktail for her and the server said he'd surprise her. They were super nice and my friend really enjoyed the creation. We started with the empanadas and croquettes which were honestly best I've had in a while (& I'm Cuban). The sauce they paired it with was on point. The seafood tower was fresh and delicious as well as the cooked Sea Bass . The steak was cooked right paired with a nice side of greens. I have no idea what this caramel dessert was but you really can't go wrong with anything here! When you walk in you think it's tiny but the venue is massive!
