I highly recommend Heave Ho's coffee beans! I purchased the 2lbs espresso bean and so far I am big…read morefan of the taste and aroma. I've tried other roasters and nothing compares to Heave Ho. Sometimes simple taste notes are always the best! The place is sort of tucked in, it's by the I-5 North exists and has ample parking. We didn't experience much service since we just wanted to purchase coffee beans. The shop has some cool merchandise that we will be checking out soon. Best coffee beans in the South Bay!!

I recently stopped by Heave Ho Coffee and honestly, it felt like stepping into a countryside coffee…read moreshop straight out of a movie scene. The whole place has this rustic, barn-style charm that makes it really stand out--super cozy and unique compared to your typical café. The latte was excellent. You can really taste the freshness of the beans, and that flavor stayed consistent all the way to the last sip of my cup--which is something you don't always get. It's clear they care about quality and roasting their coffee right. What made the visit even better was the experience. I had a great conversation with the shop manager, who was incredibly welcoming and genuine. We ended up talking about coffee and realized we share the same appreciation for it, which made the whole visit feel more personal. You can tell he's passionate and truly cares about customers. The location is also super convenient, right near Interstate 5, making it an easy stop whether you're passing through or heading somewhere nearby. If you're looking for freshly roasted beans for your home setup or even for your own coffee shop, this is definitely a place I'd recommend checking out.

Inside is cute and love the seating areas. They have pick up/mobile order, makes for convenient ordering! First of all, I want to say this has been one of my favorite coffee spots in san diego for years…read more The campfire mocha is amazing and worth every penny. Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.
