One wet Saturday morning after walking the dog in the park I realised I'd no bread in the house for tea and toast. I was soaking wet, I mean dripping water out of my anorak, and the dog wasn't much better. I loitered around the door at Sainsbury's in a state of longing, and when a young member of staff came over to ask if there was a problem I asked if he would hold the dog while I grabbed a loaf. Please understand I would never leave my dog tied up outside a shop. It's not that he is pure bred or expensive or anything. It's just that he's so beautiful I'd be worried someone would away with him
The staff member said he couldn't leave his post, but he'd do the shopping for me. He ran around the store and collected my shopping list (it had grown to include chocolate), bagged it, and sorted out the cash, all in five mins. When he handed the bag over he said he understood, he knew all about shopping with a dog.
He made my Saturday morning. I came home, me and dog got dry, and we had tea and toast.
Thank you Sainsbury guy. read more
