This is my local newsagent / convenience store and although it's small, it's pretty well stocked. One wall is all groceries, from bottles of juice, tinned food, bread, biscuits, toiletries, household goods, etc. Two fridges up the back have milk, cheese, bacon, that kind of stuff. Magazines, crisps, sweets and I even think there's a freezer underneath the piles of newspapers, although I've never bought frozen stuff here. They have a good range of booze behind the counter, including a selection of wine - nothing fancy, all pretty cheap, but if you need an emergency bottle of Jacob's Creek (and after a hard Monday at work, who doesn't?) then it's fine. Prices are standard corner shop - you'll get cheaper if you go to a supermarket but I don't feel like you get ripped off here. Best of all are the staff - it's been the same family running it for years and they're really friendly, greet you by name and always smiling and chatty. read more
