Cloudy Saturday and we visitors expected lightning storms because that's what the weather report…read moresaid. So we took advantage of the sunny weather and found this super cute cafe to get our cafe-culture fix. Roundabout Cafe has their own parking but when we pulled in, most of the parking was taken and so we parked in the stalls available a few steps from the cafe. The cafe has super cute French style seating up front and bar seating on the side. Inside, there are two bistro tables that seats 4 and window counter seating. The restaurant pleasantly asks if you're a single patron, to sit along the window during busy hours. Cafe has monthly specials that we took advantage of, a large selection of refreshing and caffeinated drinks, art for sale and ice cream that was suggested to order today, but will reserve for next time, and there will be a next time. Staff was super helpful and friendly making this a pleasant experience. We will be making this a regular stop in future family visits.

I often end up with two drinks: a coffee for now, and a Lotus for later. They also have wonderful treats like macarons, cake pops, breakfast burritos and sandwiches. They definitely got me hooked on the macarons! I wish I still had all my photos to post here. I post them on Instagram, but I keep forgetting to post on Yelp. Hahah. Anyways, overall, every drink is phenomenal.

The espresso tasted quite bitter and my drink wasn't good. When I arrived, the barista, who I believe may have been the owner, was sitting at one of the tables talking with a friend. After I walked up to the counter, it took about two minutes for her to come over and take my order, as there was no other barista working. On a positive note, the café itself is very cute and aesthetically decorated. I especially loved the inspirational quotes displayed on the tables. They also had a shelf featuring crafts made by a local artist, which I thought was a wonderful way to support the community. Overall, the space was charming, but the coffee and service could use some improvement.

I was down bad and feeling a bit desperate for a Vietnamese coffee and some breakfast, so I figured I'd give it a try. I got a Vietnamese coffee (cà phê sữa đá), a large pork bánh mì, and a pumpkin cream cheese muffin (sounded kinda good). I hate to say this, but I think this was the worst Vietnamese coffee I've ever had. I didn't think it tasted like Vietnamese coffee at all. The flavor was just not there. Also I'm not sure if it was drip or espresso, but it kinda tasted burnt. Next was the sandwich. I was pretty disappointed with it. Pickled veggies weren't bad. The other veggies were okay. But the meat was just not right. It just didn't taste right. The flavors were off and the meat was kinda dry. The whole sandwich was pretty dry. It didn't come with mayo, but it was definitely needed. The sandwich was better after I added some Kewpie mayo at home, but that meat still wasn't right. The muffin was honestly the best thing I had. It wasn't bad, but it can definitely be improved. It could've used more pumpkin flavor. I enjoyed the bites with cream cheese. It was a good combination overall. I can't say much for service because I used DoorDash, but it seemed pretty quick. Although I can't imagine there being that many people there at 6am. As much as I want to support a local business, I probably won't be coming back.

I hadn't been there before and wanted a bagel and iced coffee. The girl working didn't offer suggestions, mention any unique drinks, ask if there was anything in particular and so we just sat there in silence as I was trying to read their menu which has items kind of all over the place. Then another lady came up and was much more personable, made convo and mentioned that they have frappe's, energy drinks etc. I love going to locally owned coffee shops bc there's usually some unique and crafty coffee but I didn't see anything like that on the menu so I went with an iced white chocolate americano w/ cream. I didn't see bagels on the menu so I didn't ask for it. The iced white chocolate americano was sad. The person who made it seems like they had no barista experience or just didn't care. The white chocolate powder wasn't even mixed in and was caked at the bottom of the cup. I tried to stir it in with my straw but that was sooooo freaking flimsy that it was bending every way possible so I couldn't actually stir anything. I then used my straw to try to scrape it from the bottom and sift my cup but then I just sipped up chunks of crunchy sugar powder. Overall, maybe if I'm really in a pinch, I'll go back but I'd rather spend the extra dollar and drive the extra 5 mins to go to gravity coffee or four petals.
