There was live music playing, which was such a nice touch for a laid-back holiday Monday while my son played corn hole. They have food trucks, although the sushi and taco truck was closed today since it was a Monday holiday. We ended up getting the fish and chips, which had a really light, crispy batter, and the clam chowder was possibly some of the best I've ever had! My son really enjoyed the chicken tenders too. Customer service was good at each of the trucks we ordered from. The bathrooms deserve a shoutout too--they were extremely clean and easy to get to, which is always a plus. They also have a full restaurant that I'd definitely like to come back and try another time. Overall, a really nice outdoor spot to grab some food, listen to live music, relax, and let the kids have some fun. Definitely worth checking out! The only reason I'm giving a four star is because I wish they were better with their advertising. We went on a Monday holiday which their hours say 3-9 but they opened at noon. If they had advertised hours and the fact certain trucks weren't going to be open- we would have planned accordingly.

Sounds of fishing vessels horns blowing throughout the New Bedford harbor and Wow what a view for dining. Today I dined in the Indoor / Outdoor bar area with a very and picturesque view of fishing vessels. Folks if you're thinking of enjoying a meal on the docks well this is your spot for that experience. Ok enough about visuals let's talk about food and wow what a meal.. A refreshing Watermelon sangria kicked off things. Totally an amazing refreshing cocktail I didn't expect to order, in fact I've never had a watermelon sangria prior to this meal. Folks this is a must order so listen and drink up. Rhode Island Calamari & a cup of New England Clam Chowder started my dining expereince off. Rich chunky clam chowda didn't disappoint and I only wished I'd ordered a bowl vs a cup. Calamari was perfectly breaded with an aioli sauce for dippin. Yes I had the hot cherry peppers placed on side as you can see but my dining partner enjoyed it, I'm just not into hot cherry peppers, so deal with it... Ok for main meal I ordered Tempura Shrimp sushi & chilled prawns... My sushi was primo and I enjoyed every bite. You can really appreciate sushi when you have fresh quality seafood ingredients and I'm almost positive these shrimp came off one of these boats. Wait I also had a chilled prawns cocktail which I shared but wish I hadn't LOL. I cannot express how pleased I was with my food and the staff who waited on me. They were an exceptional crew serving exceptional food and will defiantly be dining here soon! FRANK B OVER & OUT !

Someone else eventually emerged from the kitchen and staff bickered a bit about who should have been covering the lunch counter. The vibes of the place were off and I wish we had just left at this point, before ordering. We confirmed our order was for there yet it was served to us at our table as a stack of three separate takeout containers (not a huge deal, just odd when we saw a bunch of plastic trays everywhere that we'd assumed would be used for eat-in orders). The salmon burger was fine. It came with fries instead of chips (the menu said chips, and the person who took our order confirmed we wanted chips with it), which would normally be an upgrade, but the fries were cold (not warm, just straight up cold like they'd been sitting out for a while). The onion rings were very heavily battered, which was fine, but all we could taste was the old cooking oil they were fried in. The homemade potato chips that came with the lobster roll also tasted like nothing but salt and dirty cooking oil. The hot lobster roll wasn't very hot and the lobster was diced up into small pieces (almost as if they prep the same meat for both the hot and cold rolls). Didn't get much flavor from the lobster other than whatever dried herbs were on it, and somehow the lobster wasn't buttery at all but the roll itself was soggy with butter on the inside. There was also a small, burnt-looking, unidentifiable brown bit of something mixed in with the lobster meat (definitely not lobster meat; it looked like something that had been sitting in the bottom of a fryer for months). The clam chowder was fine, nothing special. We tried to think of something redeeming about the food or this place in general and honestly couldn't come up with anything. We planned on picking up some oysters and halibut on our way out too, but after our experience with the food we decided to skip it.

The two other friends I was dining with got their food and ate it and said it was ok. ( shrimp plate and fish tacos). The waitress asked when ordering if we wanted peppers with our clamboil and we said on the side. Three meals came out ( missing my clam boil) and my friends clamboil was filled with peppers and even the clam broth. Our waitress said my boil was on the way out and proceeded to go to kitchen. I asked her to talk and she ignored me. My friend wanted to return hers to the kitchen to get no hot peppers. When the waitress came out- she proceeded to give a clamboil to another table. So here I sit with no food. When asked to get my friend the right dinner she said cook was new and didn't know what we wanted.! She took my friends clamboil back and came out with one still wrong. Still sitting with no food. By then the two friends who had there food was done and my friend and I still had no food. I called the waitress over and said we were leaving and she said ok. No integrity and still continued to blame cook, but she was ignoring us and hiding in the kitchen and waiting on other tables. So sad because I frequently used to eat here before I moved away and was very excited to go there. No manager around. Another thing- we were given take out menus to look at- no real menus??!! The vibe is cool, and they serve up some solid food alongside a great craft beer flight. The Food: Pan Seared NBMA Scallops ($24): Served with linguica, summer corn succotash, and harissa aioli. This appetizer was very fresh and exceptionally good. Beet Salad ($15): Whipped goat cheese, roasted beets, blood orange, toasted pistachios, pickled red onion, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic glaze. My wife loved this salad--it was packed with fresh flavors and textures. Lobster Truffle Grilled Cheese ($32): Made with Gruyère cheese, fresh-picked lobster meat, truffle oil, and toasted sourdough. While it tasted good, the truffle flavor was very light, and there wasn't as much lobster as I would expect for a $32 price tag. Ultimately, it was good, but not really worth the price. The Drinks: We also grabbed a four-beer flight, which came on a fun whale-tail paddle with a handy menu card: 1. Raz Sour 2. Blueberry Ale 3. Capsized IPA 4. Colonial Ale Overall, a fun spot with great starters and a cool flight setup. I'd definitely go back for the scallops and drinks, though I might skip the lobster grilled cheese next time.
