    Yum .. friend rice
    Erica G.

The portions are huge! I ordered the friend rice and had food for a few days! My rice was packed with all the yummy ingredients - Chinese sausage, veggies , eggs and etc. Service was prompt. It was not busy when I stopped by on a Friday around 1pm. Cool spot with a beautiful murals. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Only negative was that there were men smoking at the tables outside. It was right by the door so I could smell the cig smoke. I would just want more mindfulness for those of us that don't want to be exposed to second hand smoke :/ It's a great locally owned spot! I will def be back.

It was our first time here. My family and I came here for dinner and it was busy. So you need to order AND pay before you sit down. They don't have servers so you need to clean after yourselves. The "server" is also the cashier. And if you have leftovers you wanna take home, don't ask for containers because they already serve the food in the "to go" containers. Everything is disposable (utensils, chop sticks, all the food they serve in are as well). The food was pretty good though. Because it was cold when we went there for dinner, pho was the perfect comfort food. So if you ever want Vietnamese cuisine you should come try it out. Thank you!

Ambiance: 3/10 - Not a romantic place, but it is a quick spot to grab a quick meal. It's a walk up counter to order food. It isn't the cleanest with the sauce bottles looking dirty and could use a good wipe down (doesn't look appetizing to use and I think germs)! Maybe just have To-Go small prefilled sauces in plastic if you can't keep them clean? Inside is small and seating is limited, especially during lunch time in which you may not find a seat. Staff: 9/10 - friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food: 8/10 - Food is really good and has authenticity of good Vietnamese Pho and meat platters. This is a branch off of the old Pho Saigon that used to be in Pt. Hueneme, but closed. Overall rating: 6/10. I'd probably give a higher rating if it looked cleaner and if they used real plates and utensils like the older Pho Saigon. But I guess this is supposed to portray as a quick grab and go?? Biggest thing is it makes me question the kitchen's cleanliness if they can't keep the dining area and sauce bottles clean!!??

Solid pho spot that never misses. I usually get the pho tai with or the beef vermicelli bowl, and both are consistently good. The broth is flavorful, the noodles are cooked right, and the meat is always super tender. I've also tried the eggrolls, spring rolls, fried wontons, rice dishes and those were also delicious. Portions are generous and customer service is always great. Definitely a go-to when I'm craving Vietnamese food.

Tried here for the first time after finding it in Yelp. Ordered food to go at noon. Was ready in 15 minutes. Fast service. Had the #40 combination fried rice bbq pork, shrimp, Chinese sausage #54 broken rice plate with chicken and beef Both were good. Will definitely be back!

I like this place, and this is my favorite dish. But anytime I come here the woman working ( I think she might be the daughter of the owner) is not friendly towards me. Sorry, but in this economy if I'm spending my money somewhere ---overall customer service is a top priority. Sadly, I won't be coming back here after today. When I walked in right away, she stepped away so that her dad could help ring me up. So that was obvious then when my order was ready..She called my name out, left my order on the counter and quickly walked away...she didn't even say thank you, or goodbye or have a good day‍, nothing. I noticed her sour energy towards me several times. I see how she's so friendly to everyone else. It's sad, especially when I'm spending my hard earned money and her energy towards me makes me uncomfortable to even come back. Hopefully I can find somewhere else that makes this dish because I love it.

So excited to have Saigon Kitchen To Go so close to home! If you're a fan of Pho Saigon, you already know what's up. I've been following this amazing family since their days at the Bobilu Center off Saviers, and I'm thrilled to see their consistent quality and warm service continue here. The staff is always friendly and helpful, making every visit a pleasant one. Just a heads-up: this spot is their "To Go" location so it's on the smaller side, so if you're looking for the full dine-in experience, head over to their Port Hueneme restaurant, but it still delivers the same authentic flavors. My go-to dishes? The Pho Dac Biet (been ordering this soup for 20 some plus years), the Fried Tofu, and the Rice Plate with Crispy Chicken. Each dish is packed with flavor and made to perfection. Don't question it, just come and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed!

Love this place! Authentic Vietnamese Food and cute place. Location is not the best and I say this because it's easy to miss. Inside the same plaza as Toppers pizza. Otherwise, plenty of parking. I believe this restaurant is in connection with another local Vietnamese restaurant in Oxnard.

Been meaning to visit Saigon Kitchen To Go since they opened last year. Located next door to Ragin' Boba, which is also in the same plaza as the Toppers on Gonzales & Oxnard Blvd. Plenty of free parking that's shared with other businesses. They have both indoor & outdoor seating. I wasn't expecting to see any tables, since the name presents itself as a To Go spot. Noticed a lot of people ordering food To Go. It's pretty casual here... Just don't expect any table side service. Just when they bring you your order. The young girl at the counter was friendly. When opting to eat here, you order at the counter, pay & seat yourself. Be patient, they're making your yummy food to order. Then they bring your food to you. Plastic Utensils & disposable chopsticks used here. Food is served in To Go bowls, which is perfect for me, Bec I usually have leftovers... Plus side of the To Go Bowls, Bowls are microwaveable!! I'm glad I finally got my Egg Noodle Soup Fix. It came out piping Hot & it was Goood!! Definitely hit the spot. I ordered #25 Wonton & Seafood Egg Noodle Soup. Glad I was able to add extra veggies to my soup. I'm definitely coming back to try their Pho next!

Lauren is patient and super helpful when it comes to placing orders here at SKT. She keeps SKT running in the front in a clean and orderly fashion. She's nonstop, friendly, and a sweet vibe. We still come by, though not as frequently as we'd like due to work schedule. But when we get the chance, we still get our usual- #21 with extra noodles and #50 for their chicken. Egg rolls are a must, of course! If you've been contemplating to try it, this is your SIGN. Your tastebuds will thank you!

***Saigon Kitchen to go: If youre looking for local delicious authentic Vietnamese food, look no further! -I absolutely LOVE Vietnamese food so was super excited when my Husband told me about it. It is an extension of the popular Original Port Hueneme Pho. The difference is the intention for this restaurant is the food is to go. It's a cute & cozy spot, very clean and great accessible parking. You'll find it next to the Toppers on Gonzalez and Oxnard Boulevard. Although it is "to-go", we asked if we could eat there, they said sure! A few others did the same and they served our meals in to-go plates. Service was great & our food came out in perfect timing. -Our order: (#3 and #59) We had the spring rolls with peanut sauce which is tradition! & the charbroil beef, egg roll with veggies and vermicelli bowl, I love how they sprinkle lots of peanuts & fried onion on top it just takes the flavor up a notch. The portions are generous and sharable, fresh ingredients too. Can't wait to try their soups! -OMG, it was chefs kiss! I think I have found my new fave spot! 10/10 stars! You can definitely tell the food was made with love!

Food: it tastes authentic Vietnamese food. Seafood is cooked to perfection. The noodles needed a little more sauce for more flavor. Service: it was fast to place our order with the cashier. He was very kind and took our order no issues. Ambiance: there is plenty of seating and plenty of parking in the plaza.

Beef was just ok. Should be charred more, or marinated more or both. Very bland beef.
    A A.

7/10 Mid Got grilled beef bun, they do give generous portions and the egg roll was great. The beef wasn't my favorite and the noodle to fish sauce ratio was off. A generous amount of food, just needs more sauce. No herbs in my bun aka rice noodle salad (no mint, no basil or cilantro) which was a bummer. I also got a side of the pho broth to sip on, not bad either. Better than I expected ! I liked it enough to come back if it was convenient but wouldn't go out of my way.

You pick 2 seafood and it comes with rice, 1 corn and 1 potato. No different sauce, just spice level. After paying, walk towards the toppings and stack your bowl. Meats, veggies whatever your heart desires. All meats looked broken up, and all items were very low. Nothing was filled. I got the shrimp n mussels. Both are so overcooked. The only item edible was the potato since I peeled the skin. Had to Toss the rest away. So disappointed

The beef and pork are soaking in that flavor, fresh veggies, you can make your own sauce with extra on the side, and the heated plate gives it a nice almost char flavor without the smoke. Pair that with the seating at the Annex or grabbing a table with Bottle & Pint and that's the best of both worlds. The price may seem like a lot but the regular bowl if you stack it high could easily be 2 meals, I usually opt for the noodles and stacking on veggies you know don't tend to wilt when they're cooked to maximize volume, but I'm glad they reopened after their quick hiatus!

There were a couple couples that look like they're on dates. Service is really good here. And we ordered all the food we wanted to try. It seems like they tried to limit the chances of the cyclospora parasite since no one has a definite source yet (Mongolian beef usually has raw green onions but they subbed wok fired yellow onions). But some stuff they kept the cilantro and green onions (bc they were cold dishes) The pan fried dumpling would have been good if it didn't have so much Ginger.. I'm not too into Ginger but the dumpling was nice because it had the juice inside of it and the texture was nice The refreshing woodear is a cold dish that has a chewy/crunchy texture. The soy sauce/vinegar flavor makes it refreshing when the other foods get heavy. Spicy beef slices were not that bad, but I prefer more of the spicy szechuan flavor (numbing/tingly feeling). The cilantro and green onions also provided good flavor The beef and onion pancake reminded me of mushu beef, it had the same wrap, hoision sauce flavor with meat and veggies-green onions. It also had good amount of meat Hunan beef was ok but wife enjoyed it. Wife's cooking prepared me for the peppers...is it a jalapeno or a green pepper...Russian roulette if you can't handle spicy. The Mongolian beef had reg onions instead of the green onions. Lots of onions..but I can't be mad bc the onions had the wok fire flavor, which I enjoy and not many places do it. The spicy eggplant with hot garlic sauce had lots of woodears, the eggplant was a little more on the sweet side, and the eggplant had a little bit of a crispyness to it. The salt and pepper shrimp almost reminded me of fried cake batter. It had some sweetness to it so it confused me cuz I was expecting something savory.
