One of our friends had called ahead to reserve for a large group, so we arrived around 5:30 PM with a party of 15+ people. I have a smaller appetite so I decided to order the kids pho w/ brisket and meat ball and a set of spring rolls. The pho was just the right portion size - I just wish the broth had deeper flavor. One of go to spots for Vietnamese in Oxnard. They have delicious egg rolls for appetizers. A fave of mine is their crepes (shrimp and pork) but beware as it is super oily- you'll have to dab it with napkin to remove as much excess oil as possible. Their wonton soup or bo bun hue always hit the spot as we rotate the soups. My 11 year old loves getting pho whereas my I am more of a meal person- sometimes all I need is crispy fried noodles with extra veggies! We typically dine here at least 3 times if not 4 times a month. They can get busy or the place can look empty in between peak hours. But they always get you your food pretty quickly. read more

It was good, I liked the portion size. The egg roll was quite crunchy which was enjoyable. I wished that there were fewer noodles since I thought it was a lot. It's been a long time since I came here last time. ( I saw my previous review was 9 years ago!) I had loved this restaurant before, but unfortunately, my experience was ok this time. It was a Friday night dinner time, and only two servers were working, so they needed more servers to serve very well. The 5 tables had not been cleaned, and the server seemed busy, so we sat at the table. I was surprised that the food came quickly after the order was taken. It took about 5 minutes. I ordered spring rolls and beef Pho. The food was ok. After eating, I ordered the original tea with boba. Our tea order was forgotten for a while, but they seemed busy, so I understood and didn't complain. I prefer the stronger flavor of the tea. As for Boba, it was very chewy. All boba stuck together and formed a big lump so that I couldn't suck it up with a straw. It was probably made before and saved. Parking is in front of the restaurant. read more

I have been craving Vietnamese food for a long time and finally decided to go here for the first time. The place looks very spacious and i loved how all the side tables had booth/bench seats. They are very cozy. I got the #28 Banh Hoi and I loved how big the lettuce wraps they gave me were. I could make really large and filling bites with the pork, sausage and rolls all packed in there! I also got the #17 Pho Ap Chao, the flavor profile of the seafood broth was not as thick as I was expecting but it was still really delicious. I loved the chewy squid and fried shallots that are in there because it compliments the crunch and chewy essence of the fried pho. Inside is clean and big. The wontons wrappers were delicious but the filling tasted like only shrimp. The egg rolls were tasty. Pho was okay, the broth is very light. Pho Oxnard is always our go-to restaurant when in this side of Oxnard. Lots of good memories here over the years, always good food! It's changed owners a couple times but the food is always great! The menu hasn't changed and all our favorites are still here. Over the years I've tried so many dishes here and recently decided to try their chicken salad - literally head exploding emoji - it was so so good! I'm here today to get that same salad again, because I crave it! I love the home-made dressing. Delicious! Today is such a nice day to eat here. Cool cloudy weather and their delicious warm pho is so heavenly on a cold day. I highly recommend it. If you've never had pho - you'll need to try it here first! If you're in Oxnard, give it a go. Pho Oxnard has been around a very long time and I finally tried it. I got the Pho Dac Biet. I like to ask for extra bean sprouts because I load up my bowl with bean sprouts, I've never had a Vietnamese restaurant charge for extra herbs before but anyway, it was something like less than $1 - still! I enjoyed the food, I did. I feel like I have to say that the pho broth did not taste or smell like pho broth. Pho broth is made with distinctive ingredients and I don't believe this was it. They serve a variety of noodle dishes so I am wondering if they use the same base broth for all the soups and that's why it didn't seem like pho broth? That's not to say it wasn't good, I said I enjoyed the food and some might not be able to tell the difference? But I've had enough pho to say that the broth didn't seem to have the authentic flavors. I have tried this place on 3 separate occasions- twice during weekdays and once on a Saturday afternoon. I always order chicken pho. The broth is ok. Definitely tastes like a package of seasoning added to water which is fine but when I'm craving pho, I am definitely looking for a more authentic flavor. Great, delicious, and secret gem of a Vietnamese spot in Oxnard! And the service is so quick! We got there around lunch hour, not too busy. Our server was quick to get us what we wanted to drink plus our orders. Service and the wait time for food were VERY quick. The boba is so delicious! I got an Original Milk Tea and it was the perfect balance. The boba was warm and chewy! I was pleasantly surprised. The food came out quickly, it was so good! We all sort of ordered and did family style dining, and there was enough for everyone. There are huge portions. The pho was perfect - warm, fresh, and clean. It was so flavorful and rich, but not to the point of upset stomachs. We especially enjoyed the Oxnard Special, it was a great variety of delicious things to choose from! A solid neighborhood pho spot in Oxnard, definitely a spot for the locals and seems like it's been around awhile. I can appreciate a good neighborhood restaurant that has stood the test of time. Support your local businesses as this spot has soul and comfort. Some friends had recommended this spot and I was able to wander in on a dreary evening. The perfect cold weather for a bowl of pho. The interior is no frills and just felt warm and homey. Lots of regular customers I could gather from the conversations and I appreciated the younger staff as it had a very family friendly vibe. From what I gathered you sit where you like, your order is taken, but then you pay at the end in the back by the register. Slightly unusual as most places that have table side service also bring you a check but I didn't mind going up to a counter to pay at the end, I just wasn't sure the vibe until I saw a few people do it this way. Service was overall pretty good. They were a little busy so at times it took a moment but otherwise everyone was friendly and engaged. When I payed at the counter the boys were very nice and friendly. I liked the overall friendliness of the staff here and again, it felt like a very family friendly type atmosphere with younger staff learning the restaurant business. There was only one small service/transparency issue that I want to note, more as a learning experience, not to gripe. I ordered a Shirley temple and loudly heard the staff yelling around the back that they were out of sprite. Their conversations were loud so I was expecting someone to come back and let me know they were out of sprite and if I wanted something else to drink. What was peculiar is that instead I heard multiple staff talk about how to attempt to make a Shirley temple without the sprite, sub soda water, add more syrup etc etc. it was awkward but I really just wanted to be offered a new option since I was paying for it. Instead after much discussion from the back, their half attempt of a reconstructed Shirley temple came out and when it was dropped off to me there was no mention of the missing ingredients or even just an ask for me to try it and see if I liked it. As expected it didn't taste like a Shirley temple, rather a strawberry cherry lemonade. I note this exchange just because it's worrisome to me when restaurants cut corners on things and makes me wonder what else goes on behind the scenes... This wasn't a huge deal just a strange way to handle running out of something. All this to note once I was at the register paying, the gentlemen finally asked if the Shirley temple "tasted good or different" to me, I forgot his exact phrasing. I was polite and said it was fine, just because I didn't feel like a discussion about me knowing what had happened at the very end of the dining experience, noting that they still had every intention of charging me for it. Oh well, this was definitely an off experience but they made up for it in having good food and friendly staff. The pho was middle of the road, but definitely hit the spot. I liked that they had options for small and large bowls, as the large is usually too big for me and the small portion was perfect yet still filling. The pho broth was flavorful and comforting, a good broth and there were plenty of soup options to pick from on the menu. I liked that they brought fresh herbs and toppings on the side. The beef for the pho was average but again, as a cohesive dish it hit the spot. Overall this spot ranked a solid 3.5 but we know without the half stars on yelp I'll always round up. 4 stars for a solid pho in a nice neighborhood restaurant with friendly young staff. read more

Everything was awful, the chicken was dry tasteless pieces of chicken. The rice was awful and hard. And the spring rolls were disgusting. The pork was nasty tasting and there was no sprouts and no mint tasting whatever it's called. I'm a picky eater in general but my husband isn't and he said to throw it away. I love me some pho. When I arrived to Oxnard Pho the restaurant was fairly empty but it was a quite chill vibe. We were sat immediately and our order was took shortly after. I ordered an order of egg rolls, spring rolls and a bowl of pho. The food did not take long to arrive but there were some let downs. The sides were warm but not hot which tells me they haven't been freshly cooked. I did like the serving size though. The broth was not hot, it definitely could have been hotter. Maybe it's a personal preference but I expect my broth to be hot with steam leaving the bowl. I did  order brisket and it was over cooked which gave it a rubbery and chewy texture. I honestly only come to this restaurant in person maybe 1-2x a year. But I do order it through DoorDash quietly often. My review through DoorDash is that they are pretty fast. I order my food and it's confirmed within minutes. I always order .34 pho tai with an extra side of noodles because my little one loves the noodles. And the portions are great. My only minus is that the broth is not always consistent. There's times when it doesn't have the flavors it normally has and there's other times when it's super rich in flavor. And a few times they don't include chili or soy sauce in the bag so I can add more flavor if it's running low. But over all I do like this place and I do DoorDash it 2-3 times per month. read more
