So . . . if you aren't interested in music at this level, please read no further. If you are interested, then "this level" is not even accurate. These kids were fantastic! Each Concert segment (Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble) played three pieces and each time they had the entire audience on their feet clapping. So, yes, there were a lot of proud parents there . . . a full house even . . . on the night of a big home Bronco game no less. But they had reason to be proud . . . these were not "get-a-music-credit-out-of-the-way" musicians , , , these were musicians who know their craft. I would lay money on a large percentage of them going on to some field of music. They were that good. And you know what that means? They were blessed with excellent music instructors. It was a night of music that I won't soon forget. These kids are our future and I couldn't be prouder. And, no, to answer your question . . . I am NOT related to a single one of them . . . but I am super proud of their musical ability. If you have the opportunity to attend their next concert . . . do they have one in the Spring? . . . don't miss it.

I resisted at first and wanted my children to go the assigned school, Eastridge. In short, it didn't work and I applied for my daughter to get into the Challenge for 3rd grade. Lo and behold, her test scores, references, and kiddie resume got her in. The application is many pages but the info is easy to collect - a friend urged me to include her picture and artwork even though it doesn't say to. I watched my 3rd grade daughter's confidence soar last year. Homework expectations are high, but only during the week - none on weekends which is nice. My son applied and got in this year and I'm very satisfied they are getting the best elementary education they could and would dare to compare it to any private school curriculum. It's an elementary IB program - International Baccalaureate and continues up to the 8th grade. It's been a great gift to our family.

First of all, my background knowledge, most of my friends i have had go to a private schools here in the United States. Since Rangeview is not my first school in Colorado, i have lived in other states, but the first state i have lived in is Colorado, but that was long ago. Anyways, Most of my friends have or go to a private school of some sorts in the other states i lived, and the education, i would say was pretty good, far besides how strict they are, but Rangeview has some good things and bad. First is that i hate how grades are all standard base grading needs to go away, it is a form of grading that does not truly show what you know, but more of what the teacher thinks you know, and does not give that handy percentage we all like, it tends to be a problem because it could lead to favoritism, even though i have not experienced this, it could be a probability, it also tends to take away A's, because every different teacher, an Advanced grade is different, since standard base grading is a system that teachers have the power over. Second, Methods of teaching are not a good way to teach, we all heard of the phrase "take out your textbook, and do number" so and so "on page" whatever, and then what the teacher ends up doing is sitting down on her desk, and not help out, in math, i experienced this, honors core 3, teacher would say take out text book, work on the problem, if you don't get it, keep trying, at the end of class i give out answers, maybe explain how you get it. So this is not teaching in my way of viewing it,, and this needs to stop. There are a couple more problems i could mention, but i rather not waste more space on here. For the good news. The faculty is great, they interact with students help, social wise, sometimes academically, we got a few great teachers that get their students involved and teach in their own methods and still follow curriculum. Over all, this is an okay school, i have been to way better schools, and far more stricter which leads to a better education, which i do enjoy, but its not bad, i do enjoy learning there because it is different, but as far as the information i get or learn, is far too little, depending on the teacher.

The expectations, communication, support, and overall leadership were noticeably stronger in the boys' division than in the girls' division. We found the leadership in the girls' division to be unresponsive and lacking the guidance and support families expect. Concerns were often dismissed rather than addressed, and there seemed to be different standards and expectations for girls than for boys. The environment often felt cliquish and unwelcoming. We observed bullying, exclusion, and a lack of meaningful intervention. Instead of feeling emotionally supported, our daughter struggled, and the experience had a significant impact on her well-being. Ultimately, we made the difficult decision to transfer our daughter to a public school. The difference has been remarkable. She is happier, more confident, and thriving in a much healthier environment. What disappointed us most was the disconnect between the school's stated mission and our actual experience. We expected a community rooted in compassion, integrity, and strong leadership, but our family experienced inconsistency, a lack of accountability, and limited support when it mattered most. Every family's experience is different, but based on ours, I would strongly encourage parents to carefully explore other schools before making this significant financial investment. We wish we had. No family should have to watch their child lose confidence or struggle emotionally because they don't feel supported at school. I sincerely hope Regis takes a hard look at the disparities between the girls' and boys' divisions and works to create an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and safe.

They made my high school experience easy and peaceful. I graduated in confidence and had time to live my life alongside school. The flexibility is amazing and the faculty/teachers were great for the most part. I had the chance to attend many field trips, but I also got to attend prom and a physical graduation which meant a lot to me as I didn't wanna miss out on that. They gave the full experience of prom and graduation and senior year overall for me. There was one teacher who doubted me and made me feel bad and like I wouldn't succeed, but I overcame that and did not let him push me around or put me down. I graduated a year after he put me down and I will always remember him as my motivation to prove him wrong. I had another teacher who was outstanding and so supportive to me. I still have a voicemail she left me before I graduated where she was just telling me how amazing my last essay was and how good of writer I was and how she believes in me and my ability to succeed in the future. She has been in the back of my mind since and has been my biggest motivation since then even though she doesn't teach me anymore. This is the same year that faculty began to worry about the declining attendance rate and expressing this worry to the students. The school's goal of 85% attendance rate? they made it unrealistic for themselves by allowing their deans to continue to antagonize rather than encouraging them to help anyone. If your student struggles academically or with authority, dont send them here. find somewhere better that wont make them feel singled out, like theyre doing bad, find somewhere that wants to help them improve that behavior. If your student is good at dealing with authority or excels academically, also keep in mind that this school is highly based in being a community. there are smaller options that provide just as many opportunities. all in all, its a fine enough school. Your child may do great things here, but certain things that the faculty do may lead them to hate school.
