Got a gift certificate for Christmas for a Sauna, Float, and Massage. I had been looking at this place due to the float, and was excited to try it out. After having to fill out numerous liability waivers, I was good to go. As stated in a previous review, the bathrooms are outside... that's kinda weird, but ok. I was told to take my shoes off in the front lobby and wasn't provided anything for my feet so had to walk around barefoot, again odd; and a bit icky for me. I was given instructions for the sauna, complete with how to turn on the music from a switch inside the sauna. That didn't work. The connected ipod outside the unit was on pause, which I didn't notice until I got out. The sauna is infrared, it's like french fries under a heat lamp. I'm not a Saun not a fan, so I won't go any further. Next up, the float. Again, I was given instructions... Shower before, and again after; ear plugs, how to close the unit, a head float, a towel, and music. This time, the music worked; however, the shower floor was extremely slippery and I slid upon getting in. All cleaned up and got into the pod. Immediately, I was burning in my private sensitive area. I remember seeing something about Vaseline in the numerous waivers, so got out and sure enough, next to the earplugs (I hadn't gotten them up to this point) was a packet of Vaseline. I used it and got back into the pod; albeit, the damage was already done and I was still burning. Then I remembered all the warnings in the waiver saying I would be responsible for any damage to the pod if my body oils got into the water, so I second guessed what I was supposed to do and got scared, so got out. When I went to the lobby (in my bathrobe.. odd), and told the girl at the desk about it, she asked if my tour guide told me about the Vaseline... Nope. Not a word. He was supposed to tell me to put it on before going into the pod. Fail. So here I sat in the waiting lounge, after not being able to enjoy the pod. I got a whopping 10 mins out of it. Now the massage.. Marie was awesome and made up for the fail. She asked what my preference was and hit all the right spots, with the correct pressure. I'm pretty ticklish, and she was very aware and not once made me twitch. Sauna gets a neutral; float pod gets a thumbs down (based on the tour guide); and massage gets a 10. If I go back, it will be for massage only, with Marie. Office should provide throw away slippers, provide an indoor bathroom; provide either a locker or a carry bag for clothes/shoes; and soundproof the massage rooms. Hearing a motorcycle going by during my zen moment was a buzz kill. Now that I've been thrown out for writing a negative review, and hurting the feelings of the employee (I removed the word incompetent so their ego wouldn't be bruised); and no, he did not tell me about the Vaseline. Had he, it would have triggered what I already read and it would have reminded me to use it. The website only says if you have cuts, to put some on. Nothing about your sensitive areas. And yes, I was told I could have left my shoes on, but when I saw others barefoot, I thought it best that I not drag my shoes around the floor. Having several dogs, I knew this wasn't a good idea to spread their love around for others to walk in. That's just gross. I'll add that I've been to other places that had a much nicer ambiance. Burke Williams, and Chardonnay most most recently. This felt more like a dentist office than a spa. And no, I had no intentions of going back. read more

WE both didn't know what to expect and figured for our first float that we would do separate pods. The whole body/mind relaxation that comes when experiencing this is incredible! I am so grateful for the services at Sage. I've had massages from several of the therapist in conjunction with the full spectrum infrared sauna & floats. Some of the therapists have returned to Sage since the pandemic began, which says something about how the owner manages her business. They must like it there! I am going to give 4/5 stars because this was my first time trying something like this so I don't really have anything to compare it to. That being said, this was a really cool experience and I can totally see how it would be beneficial with continued sessions. I would sort of compare it to meditation except you get to float in an awesome pool of warm water rather than sitting on a boring yoga mat or wherever you usually meditate. I have trouble relaxing in general but with practice you learn how to shut your mind off. I think I'd want to try some more sessions to really get the real benefits from this. Some things to consider/know if you are going to go: - If you have longer hair I would bring a comb for afterwards and maybe a hair tie. I came straight from work and didn't have any of these things. -Wear comfy clothes. I'd wear something or bring something really warm this time of year. Going out in the cold with wet hair right from the spa didn't feel that great. -Make sure you read their appt confirm email about not shaving and such right before your float so the salt doesn't burn your skin. read more

Shown to our float rooms with a very detailed explanation of how the float process works. This was such a fascinating experience. I went in a little skeptical, but they had a great deal for first-timers so I dragged my husband with me to give it a shot. We did a couples float cause it was slightly cheaper (for the same amount of time), and on the whole it was very relaxing! They walk you through what to do when you get there. You're supposed to rinse off before getting into the pod. Once you get into the pod, you have the option of closing the lid entirely for complete darkness (which we did just to get the full experience). There's so much salt in the float pod that it takes a while to get used to the floating sensation. But after a few minutes it becomes very relaxing! I actually ended up falling asleep. The only downside of a couples float is that if your partner moves in the pod, you feel the water around you moving and it can be a bit distracting. But overall, super cool experience and a unique way to unwind/relax! read more

I would like to give Sage Float Spa my highest recommendation. I was always a fan, and have appreciated their unbelievable strides to keep everyone safe during COVID. They strictly adhere to public health standards, including a months-long closure in 2020. Today, however, they raised the bar. I was in acute pain for five days and could barely hold my body upright when I arrived. I met a new-to-me (but seasoned) therapist -- YANA -- who is my new best friend. It was an unbelievably healing plant-infused hot stone massage, and I left fully upright again. They -- and she -- have my highest recommendation. Thank you for being there for your community. This was our first time trying out Float Spa and I can definitely say I did feel a difference after our float. I felt very relaxed and my skin was extremly silky smooth. We made an appointment online which I thought was great because of our schdules it was a last minute booking. We arrived and were greeted by the friendly staff and then showed to our room which was decent in size and had a shower as well. My husband and I both got into the pod together and fit fine. I walked in to buy a gift card and was a little disappointed at the ambiance and smell of the waiting room. It reminded me of a doctors waiting room. The smell was not appealing at all, maybe it was the piled up shoes in the entrance. The white walls don't help, reminds me of dreadful dentist office. I never went inside the tub or the rooms but the waiting room could really use some work it's the first thing a customer sees maybe some peaceful colors, low playing spa music, aromatherapy, candles, etc would make a world of a difference. read more

I did my first float at Sage yesterday and it was a good experience. The people working were friendly and helpful. I realized it will take time for me to figure out what works for me in the pod so try to keep an open mind your first time. I had many moments of relaxation during my 60 minute session even though I am a very fidgety person. The only negative is the noise from cars playing loud music on the road, but honestly its so relaxing in the pod it's easy to ignore and only happened a few times. I also like that the owner obviously takes care of her employees and sticks up for them. (The instructions are very clear online and in person so I don't see how anyone can miss that.) This is the kind of business I want to support. I also love that it is actually affordable especially during their happy hours. I never knew I would be able to afford spa experiences on a budget! Visited the business after buying 3 floats online sight unseen. I used to float many years ago when I lived in Austin and have been disappointed there hasn't been a tank for rent in this area for many, many years. As others have stated the facility is extremely clean and relaxing. They have pods as opposed to the tanks I was familiar with. These are equipped with lights good for the first timers in my opinion and sound, which I don't recommend. The idea is to relax in complete deprivation. Maybe a tall order for this society that walks around staring at their palms all day and sharing every possible experience on FB, but who couldn't benefit from spending an hour alone in the dark completely quiet and totally relaxed? An extra star to the owners Elana & Gary for their friendliness combined with professionalism, something lacking in most businesses in the area. Highly recommend. read more
