Due to a change in my dental plan, I could no longer use the dentist that I had been using for the past few years. My records were transferred to this Sage Dental location. My first impression of the office was not good. There was a woman who thought it was best to bark about her missing Sharpie marker instead of greeting me. She was also rude to one of her co-workers who came up to try to help her. That woman didn't have on a nametag, so I can't put her on blast. I've been to this location 4 times since my initial visit and I haven't seen that woman since, so hopefully she no longer works there. On to the positive things! Initially I was annoyed that I had to have a scaling done and that Sage did extra things like check the depth of my gums. I came to realize that they are more than just a dental office that cleans your teeth and send you on your way. They actually educate you so that your teeth and gums can be as healthy as possible. Yvonne is fantastic and always pleasant. She is not afraid to call you out when she notices that you are not flossing! It's for your own benefit! I won't say that I enjoy going to the dentist now (because that's a lie LOL), but I do look forward to seeing how much my overall gum health is improving as this is something that my previous dentist never discussed with me. read more

"Liar liar, Pants on Fire!!!" To 'hook' you as a patient, they go over their fees quickly and after they begin the actual work, the prices change. They have the audacity to state: "we explained all the charges". They are charging the insurance company and the patient. When you claim your rights-then you become 'persona non grata'. ALERT: DO NOT GO TO SAGE DENTAL!!! They are a factory Not a professional or ethical dental clinic. read more

This is absolutely the worse dental practice I have ever been to in all my almost 70 years on this planet. I went there for a checkup/cleaning, and I had insurance that paid for preventive care like x-rays and cleanings plus allowed an additional 1500 for any additional care I might need. I was charged 170 dollars just to get from the waiting room into a dental chair. After a 2 hour wait, then had 5 minutes of x-rays done. Folks came and went in my room with no explanation or greeting other than to exchange pleasantries with each other. Dentist finally came in and after a 1-minute examination of my x-rays (not my mouth) told me I needed 7000 of dental work listing 3 pages of almost unreadable dental procedures I supposedly needed. I was there because my old Medicare Part C plan changed their dental network making my previous dentist of 40 plus years obsolete forcing me to find another dentist. My new Medicare Part C plan sent me to Sage. I get dental exams once a year for the past 50 years. Last one was 5 months ago. Clean bill of health with no issues. I refused to agree to and sign their lying treatment plan. They threatened me with not submitting the claim for my x-rays which would be paid by my insurance unless I signed the treatment plan even though I told them they had already charged me 170 dollars just to get from waiting room to dental chair. They also charged me for an oral cancer screening I never received. I got up and walked out and immediately called my insurer Aetna Medicare to report their misconduct. Of course, Aetna was of no help whatsoever even though they were the ones who referred me to this unethical, dishonest and borderline criminal dental practice. I wish to take this opportunity to warn folks to avoid this unscrupulous business. Utilize this business at your own extreme peril folks. read more

if I could give a Zero I would. they are a terrible, terrible dental company. Thyre rude, pushy, took Xrays, lied about my teeth. gave me some else's X-ray. a 95 yr old... They tried bullying me into ripping out my crowns. I had one procedure and they damaged my cheek bone. Took me an entire year to heal. I never se a dentist. They don't speak English. if they do they're rude. I regret going there. I warn everyone. if you want to be ripped off, don't see a doctor, never get your procedure explained to you. Theyre worst than use car dealership. They force to sign papers so you can't come after them. I had them send my records to my dentist and she said the X-rays weren't even mine. read more

My date of service was December 4, 2025 at Sage Dental of Conway (Orlando, FL). Due to a temporary insurance issue, Manager Maria told me to pay out of pocket, assuring me the claim would be filed afterward. Florida Blue confirmed they would accept the claim and issue a reimbursement once it was submitted. On December 21, 2025, Sage Dental told me the claim had been filed. Florida Blue confirmed it had NOT. That was the first false statement, and everything since then has been a pattern of lies, excuses, and delays. Throughout the entire month of January, I repeatedly spoke with Yopasta, Julio, and other staff members, all of whom told me the manager would call me back. No one ever did. I was finally able to speak directly with Manager Maria on January 21. I explained that her office told me on December 21 the claim was filed, yet Florida Blue confirmed it was not, and I asked her to personally handle this issue. On January 21, Maria told me the claim would be filed by end of day. On January 23, she apologized that it had not been filed and again promised it would be. On January 28, I called with Florida Blue on the line, and Maria once again apologized, promised it would be filed, and even tried to minimize the situation by offering me a toothbrush. I told her I did not want a toothbrush -- I needed her, as the manager, to handle the issue. She did not. Florida Blue confirmed on January 31 and again on February 4 that the claim is STILL not filed. Florida Blue has repeatedly stated there is no reason this has not been submitted, as it can be done easily through an online portal. While speaking with Florida Blue to understand why Sage Dental continues to avoid filing the claim, they asked me to review the services performed on December 4, 2025. I read directly from the statement Sage Dental provided and explained that I did not understand the medical terminology, but that I only went in for a dental cleaning. Florida Blue explained what the listed services actually were and identified that X-rays and additional services beyond a cleaning were performed, which I was not made aware would be added. Florida Blue stated there is no reason a routine dental cleaning should cost almost $500, making the continued refusal to file the claim extremely concerning. When Florida Blue informed me that additional services had been added beyond a cleaning, I immediately called Sage Dental of Conway with Florida Blue on the line to clarify what was done on December 4, 2025. I spoke with Julio, who was rude and dismissive. As I tried to explain the seriousness of the situation, he repeatedly cut me off, stating that the manager was not available and that he could "only relay the message." Even Florida Blue expressed frustration, telling him that this had gone on long enough and that there was no reason I should be treated this way. Florida Blue then asked Julio who Maria reports to, explaining that this issue was clearly not being resolved. Julio responded by saying he had other patients in front of him, placed us on hold for over 20 minutes, and then returned to the line acting as if nothing had happened. When reminded who was on the call and what we were waiting for, he said he did not have that information and offered no further help. I have also called Sage Dental headquarters multiple times since mid-January, where you can only leave voicemails. No one ever calls you back. That silence speaks volumes of how this entire company runs. It is unacceptable that Sage Dental allows a location like the Conway office to operate unchecked -- lying to patients, mishandling billing, avoiding responsibility, and treating people with blatant disrespect. The Conway location is a direct reflection of failed leadership and a corporate culture that stops caring the moment they take your money. This experience has been exhausting, stressful, and infuriating, and it has completely destroyed any trust I had in this company. I have never felt so lied to, dismissed, helpless, and robbed by any business. No patient should ever go through this. This was, without question, the worst experience I have ever had. read more

I've been going to Sage Dental for years, but my recent visit to the Conway location in Orlando was by far the worst dental experience I've ever had. What should have been a routine six-month cleaning turned into a three-hour ordeal because the staff kept disappearing for long stretches with no explanation. They also tried to charge me for X-rays I had already done last year -- which have always been included with cleanings -- and only backed off after I questioned it. The finance guy was incredibly rude and condescending. He kept pushing unnecessary treatment even though the dentist told me my teeth were healthy and cavity-free. When I declined, he acted like skipping it was a "one-time courtesy," which makes no sense if it's truly optional. At one point, he sarcastically asked if I was "used to going to a children's dentist" -- I'm 23 and have been going to adult dentists for five years. And as I was leaving, he put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Thank you for your patience," which made me extremely uncomfortable. After all that, I finally got my basic cleaning -- nearly three hours after my appointment time. Totally unacceptable. I won't be returning to this location. read more

This is the worse dental practice in the world. I went in for a root canal and came out with a broken tooth, next to the tooth that needed the root canal. I also left the dental office with a burnt tongue and bottom lip. I disputed the charges that were conveniently wrong. How do you bill for a crown that is not needed? When I called Sage to tell them how much pain I was in they said it was normal. If they would've given me another appointment they would've seen the broken tooth. This practice only cares about billing more then they have to and don't provide proper services. DO NOT go to Sage Dental on Conway. Diana F read more

First of all, the admin staff are amazing. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ends. They try to upsell like crazy. Recently, the upselling has become more aggressive and I was refused a basic cleaning when I declined their ridiculously expensive "deep cleaning." They stated it would be a disservice to me to not give me what I "need" but then they let me walk out with NO cleaning. Make it make sense. Fortunately, I was smart about it and consulted with another dentist and they confirmed that I did not "need" a deep cleaning. I am one of the lucky ones that did not get scammed but I went down a rabbit hole reading hundreds of reviews from people with similar experiences that were not so lucky. I recommend finding a different dentist office that isn't so... "corporate." read more

Called twice to have my X-Rays emailed to me or said I could stop by and pick them up. Was told I had to have a release form emailed to me that I had to sign and then they could give me the x-rays. Tried to charge me $1100 for my regular dental cleaning. I got my x rays done and then waited 45 minutes for the dentist to look at my teeth and say they're were no cavities. The hygienist came 30 minutes after that and immediately left because she wanted the doctor to tell her what to do. An insurance guy came over 20 minutes after that and wanted to charge $1100 for a routine cleaning stating that it has to be done that way because the doctor said so and they can't do only a regular cleaning. I normally do not post experiences that are below average but I just received the worst news a long standing patient would not want to hear. I started treatment with sage dental to improve my smile. I was on a treatment plan for 2-3 years which I have paid in full. However the progress I was making was slow and they changed my treatment to Invisalign. I was able to start treatment and was in month 1 of that new treatment plan of 1 additional year. I subsequently lost my job and communicated this consistently to let them know why I am not in to follow up. I just found out I was discharged from care since February 2025 and my account was sent to collection. I received no calls, no text, no emails, no mails. Only to find out they sent one letter through mail to an old address. I am beyond shocked, disheartened read more

I've never reviewed anything before but I am so livid about this experience I had to. Went in for a regular cleaning and exam that my insurance covers. Even with an appt. I waited about 30 minutes. When they finally took me back I sat in the dental chair for another 20 minutes just waiting (on what I don't know). They took x rays. Then I waited again. A dentist came in, looked around in my mouth and recommended some composite fillings be replaced. Then left and I waited some more. A hygienist comes in and pokes my gums doing the number test. Mind you, nothing at all has been cleaned at this point. Then, they ask me to come back to the front desk where they tell me I need over $600 worth of special gum cleaning and have me sign the estimate (very aggressively). They inform me that this will also take multiple visits. I then ask "so I can't just get my regular cleaning that my insurance covers? Like today?" She rudely says "no, you have to get this deep cleaning. So we can't do a regular cleaning." I was so stunned I just stood there. She then scheduled an apt for the next week and I walked out of the office stunned and confused. I immediately called my mom and texted a few friends because it was so sketchy that I felt weird and angry about it. How could I walk out of a dentist office without a cleaning?! I even called my insurance company to discuss how I could track the claim they make to see if they try to claim a cleaning that was absolutely not done (X-rays and exam fine but I will be disputing it if they file for a cleaning)! Then I had a friend confirm the same thing happened to her there and I read the Yelp reviews of almost identical scenarios. This was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional and just bizarre dentist I've ever been to. It felt like a scam the minute I walked in and now I truly believe it is! Not to mention the fact that it took so long and not a toothbrush or dab of toothpaste touched my mouth! I didn't even see either in the office now that I think about it! I guess I'm on the hunt for another dentist. What a waste of time and benefits! read more

This place is terrible. I confirm my appointment and filled out all the paperwork, which took way too long. Front desk Sandra stood over me while I was in the Dental chair laid back ready for my cleaning....shoving a clipboard in my face of what I thought was my ok to clean. I was coearsed to sign my treatment plan, which I later found out they charges were for 954.00 they wanted me to pay. She charged me 954.00 on top of my Medicare dental allowance i had available for my yearly routine cleaning. No extras! My insurance even went over my charges telling them everything in my treatment cleaning was covered under my insurance. After she charged my credit card I called my insurance company immediately to seek help in getting my money back. It took me 9 months after filing disputes with my credit card company and grievances with my insurance company to get my money back. Sandra kept lying to me over and over and refused to give me my money back. I even tried asking other office personnel for help. They wouldn't help me either. I contacted the office manager and she said she would contact the director and get back to me. That was a week and a half ago. I called again and was told the same thing, that the office manager would call me. If the office does replace the crown I will update my comment. But currently I would not recommend anyone to this office. STAY AWAY!!! If a company does not backup the quality of their work, they should not be in business. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

After looking through many of the recent reviews on here, I can see that others have had a similar AWFUL experience. I've been going elsewhere for years but my Dentist retired, so I decided to try Sage. I went there for a regular cleaning, but they told me they couldn't do it until I first got a specialized treatment for my gums done. They also told me that I had FIVE cavities. I had been to my Dentist 6 months prior and was told I had zero cavities. Sage showed me the X-Ray of my supposed cavities but they only pointed out 2 of the 5. (I couldn't even notice the two on the x-ray). I was skeptical of what they told me so I left without even getting my teeth cleaned! Yesterday, I went to another Dentist and he said I have ZERO cavities, and that my gums are fine! What were you planning on doing to me, SAGE? Drill fillings into my teeth that do NOT have cavities. Ya'll deserve a class-action lawsuit filed against you and to have your business shut down. read more

Yesterday, I was a first and last time customer at this facility. This is the first dentist I've been to where they do not check your vitals before putting you into the chair. I wasn't expecting to have to pay like that, so I asked them to do a regular cleaning, then I'll schedule the deep cleaning at another time. They refused to to give me a regular cleaning. They held my mouth hostage. They offered to perform the more expensive services, like a filling or a bridge. These are a bunch of money grabbers! Never going back there again! read more

Horrible service. Avoid this place. Went here for service and was told I needed a root canal and had several cavities. Rushed service, no cleaning. Keep in mind I have had one cavity my entire life (so no complicated dental issues). Due to my history, I decided to get another opinion. Went to another dentist and they said ZERO CAVITIES. In my opinion, this place will drill in your mouth and recommend procedures for fun just to make a buck. Before you have that procedure, get a second opinion. I did, submitted both treatment plans to them and they did not pay them. If I could give zero stars I would. When I called to ask if I could pick up the records, I was denied to have them. After a very uncomfortable conversation finally I was told to go pick up the only the X-rays. Due to all the hurricane Dorian preparations, I didn't have the time to get the records until a week later. Have been trying to get back there (I had a tooth pulled and am supposed to get it replaced - and it's in the front; I look like a hillbilly!) I went here one time and im not coming back. I was waiting to be seen for almost 2 hours! And there was only 2 patients (me and another lady) that already pissed me off. "Uhh cavities" making that "u stupid" face. BUT THATS NOT THE WORST PART After she got done with me she went back to the patient next to me and TOLD HER IN SPANISH WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY TEETH AND THEY LAUGHED. I was otp the whole time but i was talking in English and she assumed I didn't know spanish. And im reporting her for telling my personal business TO HER ASSISTANT AND ANOTHER PATIENT. I did an emergency come in and they didnt even assisted me in anything. And told me that only time i can come back is 3 months from then to handle my problem. Like wtf whats the point of this emergency come in for if im not going to get treated for today. i could had just not comed in in the first place. So it takes a lot for me to get to the point where I have to do a bad review on a place but after today I must cause I never been treated so badly that I had to walk out of my chair in the middle of my dental process. Yes It was that bad and no exaggeration. I came in for a simple cleaning. Done it before 2 years ago in the same spot and other places . I was expecting the usual . Instead I got arranged for a deep gum cleaning. I exspect the usual . Fill out new paperwork cause it's been a while and get new X-rays which I did. Then go meet your dentist and look over the xrays and go into the cleaning while finding you have other problems that need to be addressed eventually. Instead I got a dentist who walks in and introduce themselves with my back turned In the chair that I had no idea if they were talking to me or it was a voice in the other room greeting someone else. So I had to turn in my chair and look back and say hi. I thought that was kinda strange. I'm use to having a dentist walk in introduce themselves in front of me and shake my hands and get personal by asking questions and tell me every step of thE way with compassion and care not a number. Didn't get that . Instead I got a rapid fire of here is what we doing and no options and my chair being reclined to getting my mouth opened to measure teeth to gum stuff. Which was the second turning point. The dentist who I wish I remembered her name starts poking my gums hard in a rapid pace shooting out numbers to her assistant. There was no compasssion or beiNg gentle with my gums as she was working fast. I felt I needed pennicillin shot for a freaking inspection on every tooth she was poking. This not even the procedure and my gums are already hurting from this experience .She was working so fast. So after that insensitive experience. Next thing I know I hear something about getting my penicillin shot. So I asked the assistant why do I need a pencillin shot for a simple cleaning . That's when I find out the news that I I'm being setup for a deep gum cleaning. I didn't ask for that or giving a option .Which is not what my appointment was for. I didn't plan to be there for a long time nor did I have co pay money for a significant procedure. So I guess the assistant went and got the dentist to explain the misunderstanding. There is where things go bad quickly . The dentist comes in with a attitude which she shouldn't have cause there was no good communication between us. If she took the time to sit down like a compassionate dentist does. I would of known or give me the option with my time or money. Instead I get this dentist talking down to me like a kid in timeout about being sued and because there issues already that they can't legally clean my mouth without doing the invasive stuff first. Which i don't believe is true. It's a simple tooth cleaning. Not freaking surgery. I'm not a dentist but I have done this before many times. I feel that this was a way to milk money out of insurance vs doing something that is free with insurance. Either way if I'm wrong I wasn't giving any options or price until I asked. I honestly believe this dentist was having a bad day and I got the brunt of it. If not she's in the wrong field cause she shows no compassion or gentleness dealing with patients. If left a bad taste in my mouth that I literally walked out of my chair in the middle of the exam and left after having a woman belittle me like a kid because I soposely misunderstand. No I didn't misunderstand. You weren't a compassionate dentist who explains and is gentle with patients. If you took the time to sit down instead of being behind my chair and give options. This wouldn't hhsppened . Anyways, I highly not recommend this dentist . As far as place . I don't know but this place feels like a numbers place instead a compassionate place that cares. For the dentist who cane in afterwards she seemed to have the qualities I look for but unfortunately I told her I i have to leave cause of my experience and left. Still can't believe how I was treated. Called out of a work today because my gums hurt now and to pissed off to talk to customers at my job read more

Worst place you can visit for anything in general, from deep cleaning to crowns, WORST. They will make up things that needs to be done and on top of that, you will constantly be paying whatever things they can think of. I have paid already almost $2000 on just deep cleaning and a crown! DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. read more

First visit and the entire experience from my set up through corporate, review of dental needs and a plan of care to my cleaning was excellent! Prior to this visit I have been using the same Family Dentistry since 1987, father then son's practice. Due to being on Wellcare I had to change providers. My expectations were and are high and your Conway team has met them. Everyone from corporate to Conway has been welcoming, knowledgeable, professional and skilled. Dental health is an important factor in overall health and I'm so thankful that I have found the right team to trust with my care. Thank you Sage Dental for setting a culture and standard of care that compliments good health and customer service. read more

This office is INCOMPETENT! One day before my appointment, I received an email with the documentation to be completed, which I did. Half an hour before my appointment, I received a text message to check in for my appointment, which then asked me to wait in my car until the office called me, which was their new policy due to the coronavirus. After waiting an hour, I called the office, to which they said they were not even open and they had canceled my appointment. When I asked the office manager why I was never contacted and informed of my canceled appointment, she said "Well, we hired a call center to do that." I cannot believe how unprofessional and disrespectful this office is. If I could give them negative stars, I would. read more
