I've left a review for Black Lion Builders and have to update it now. Their work is beyond just…read morequality, it's quality that will last and attention to detail that makes a major difference. From bedroom, bathroom, and bonus rooms remodels, to replacing an old and deteriorating deck. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We had quotes on everything, including the deck, it's shocking to realize how other general contractors put so much into their pockets after getting Brian's prices. The deck alone was quoted between 5-9k more, with other GC's even planning on using lower quality materials and vinyl rails. Brian got the best quality materials, custom ordering 6x6 ground contact beams, getting high quality black metal rails, and trex decking with an amazing warranty. Definitely get as many quotes as you need when hiring a GC, the highest price doesn't mean the best quality or materials. Thankfully I can refer Black Lion Builders to many more people!

We needed our kitchen sink re-mounted, because it had come loose underneath our granite countertop…read more Quality granite responded quickly, give us a fair price, and was able to schedule the work in a reasonable time. Other companies said they would only reattach sinks for their own countertops, but Quality Granite was very helpful, and I recommend them. "Even better if..." Oddly, they requested a "50% deposit" before coming to do the work. I've never run into that before, and the process for paying the deposit was a bit awkward. If they fix this, service would be perfect. :-)

I hired Alpine Fence & Deck last month to perform a full recondition of my two redwood decks here…read morebehind my home in Sandy. The former owner of Alpine Fence & Deck had just apparently sold the business to the new owner, Chandler, and they kept the price fixed from their August 2022 quote. This was for the usual inspection, pressure washing, sanding, rotten wood replacement, correction & reinforcement of loose wood and railing, a final sanding, and then full staining (using Sherwin-Williams "SuperDeck" semi-transparent deck stain) of the top surfaces AND all underside surfaces (which had never been stained before.) I wanted the underside done this time to properly seal off all the wood surfaces, and yes it cost me more money, but I'll never have to futz with it again. My wife and I picked a rich dark charcoal color instead of the usual redwood color. This dark color uses blue, magenta, and deep gold tints to get this darker hue which - after it was applied - we were very happy with. Alpine Fence & Deck provided all of the stain as part of the quote...and left us with a full unopened gallon for our use. Chandler and his assistant Eliza spent a number of days working the deck in the cooler temps of June and overall we are happy with the effort. Chandler asked me multiple times to check his work and bring to his attention anything he missed or I wanted to be changed. Chandler fixed multiple floorboards and the one wobbly railing, and it all turned out OK. I think the extra effort on the underside paid off but was additional labor that kinda' beat up Chandler and Eliza as no doubt it was exhausting work. Suffice it to say the underside should have been sprayed instead of rolled/brushed as there are visible gaps in the stain that I will ask Chandler to address once this post goes live here on Yelp and Google. I would recommend Alpine Fence and Deck and always suggest that the consumer get everything in writing (like I did with Chandler's electronic quotes) and confirm that Chandler and his team will revisit us next spring and perform some post-winter touch-ups at no cost to us. Four Stars for a good job overall. Thanks!

I found the crew extremely skilled and very friendly. I'm beyond pleased with their work, the totally reasonable price and even their clean up. They even did some little extras that i didn't even ask for, like sealing some cracks in another slab of cement I wasn't replacing. In addition, a little stay dog from down the street came running up the street to visit and dived headfirst into a 6" wall of wet concrete that had just exited the cement truck. Dave immediately fished out the little cement caked poodle and carried it down the street to find the owner so he could ensure the little guy got a bath before the concrete dried. I'm even hiring them back to do some foundational concrete work by the end of the month. These guys are great and I highly recommend them. L. Rose

We were hopeful for a good experience with David and his crew but I would NOT recommend them for…read moreresidential projects. Our experience was atrocious. David was out of town when his crew poured and they did a LAZY job and didn't even do what we had asked. We wanted short garden type concrete curbing around our existing landscaping and they poured industrial street curbing. They poured over the existing metal curbing without removing it and didn't even care that they poured directly into our grass. They broke sprinklers, ruined our neighbors park strip and when we insisted they fix it, they cut chunks out of our grass to replace what they ruined on our neighbors. They broke two of our fences and ruined our shovels. They left a pool of concrete on our park strip and it killed our grass. They left exposed metal in our play yard that is a hazard for our children. We asked several times for them to come fix what they ruined (and although they fixed MINIMAL amounts of what we asked, there was no resolution) and there was always an excuse as to why they didn't show up at the agreed upon time.
