He charged exactly what he bid, communicated well about when he was coming (seems well-organized), is reliable, hard-working, experienced, and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond what we hired him to do, as I was tasked with digging a 14' x 18" trench to bury the electrical conduit for the stub up to the hot tub before the slab could be poured, and Juan simply helped me dig it (he had much better tools for the job). I think Juan's willingness to work hard for the success of his jobs and help with something additional like this is rare and valuable. When the job was complete, Juan thoroughly cleaned up all remnants of gravel, etc... on the road, in the carport, and in the backyard. It was easy to get them scheduled, but that's where it stopped being easy. The crew came out to demo my yard to prepare for the new concrete and they took chunks out of my existing driveway. They also destroyed my sprinklers and we had to wait an extra week or so for a replacement part to come in. They also destroyed my neighbors sprinkler and took some of their decorative bricks and threw them in a garbage heap, which caused awkwardness between us and them. They put all the dirt from the demo on my existing driveway and left it there for like 5 days, blocking my wife's car in. When they came back to frame it up they kept forgetting about parts of the project (fence post, putting metal under my stairs for support, how we wanted to grade the cement for a basketball hoop, details I had to go through with them like 10x and it was still chaos when the cement came). They would schedule the pour and then I wouldn't hear from them. I took multiple days off work for the pour that never came. When the day finally came they had the cement truck pull on my driveway directly and it cracked so bad they had to cut out a piece and frame it up on the fly. The fence post that I paid them to set is hollow (no wood holding it up). They didn't dig a hole, they just set the post in the cement and called it good. After the job was done we saw a bunch of chips in our existing driveway, and some of the new cement crumbling away. I've been calling them since they poured and keep getting the runaround. They'll tell me they'll have someone out and then go silent. Once I paid them they went dark. They promise a warrenty on the work but once you pay you're no longer a priority. I still text Teki and Garrett once every week or two begging them for help. Our cement was poured in May (it's now September). They'll tell me that they'll get someone out next week and go quiet again. I didn't want to leave a bad review because they seem like nice people, but it's been a nightmare.

Incredibly Incompetent and Unprofessional. Last summer I…read morehad issues with the foundation of my house. I called Groundworks and they sent an inspector to view my house. The inspector told me that I would need Wall Anchors installed in my basement to fix the problem and I agreed to the service. Later on I am contacted by the company again and I'm told I don't need Wall Anchors but I need Pylons installed under the house. I will need more of these and more damage will be done to my home and I will have to pay more to fix the issue. I don't like this but I understand so I agree to this as well. I ended up spending over $12,000.00 for this service. On the day of the service the installer looks around my basement and after opening my Utility Room Door he says with a gasp "Why didn't they survey this room?" That is not something you want to hear after paying $12,000.00 for a service. Groundworks will also not repair any damages they make to drywall, so I had to pay extra to solve that as well. They then told me that they would follow up within 6 months of the job. This inspection is included with the price meaning I paid for this service as well. I also decided not to finish my basement because if there would be a problem I would have to fix the future damage they would make, considering they don't repair the holes they make. This means I have an unfinished basement for over half a year. Six months come and go and they do not follow up with me. I call them and ask if they can send someone to look at my house one weekend and they agree. That person never came. I then scheduled an inspection (the one I already paid for) and they agreed to come today at 8am. At 8:30am no one showed up and I have not heard anything from the company. I then call the company to find out what is going on and they tell me they can't make it today and I have to reschedule. I will have to adjust my schedule again to make this work. Again, I paid over $12,000.00 for this service and they can't show even basic decency to the customer. If you are considering using their services, DON'T. Use another company.

It was so much unusable space for such a small patio area. And in the front our driveway was sinking and there was a weird step up to the main door that was at an angle and a safety hazard. So after we demoed the backyard ourselves we hired Lee to lay down stamped stained concrete over the entire backyard (wrapping around the side), new concrete steps up to the back door, replace the driveway in the front and fix the front door step. When we pulled up the back deck to our surprise, we also found out there was an old severely sloping drainage grate under it. Lee leveled everything so that it would drain into this hole more gently so that the whole area was flat and usable and then installed a fresh smaller box. He took the time to think through how to work out our irrigation under the concrete and how the concrete would come up to the fence. They also pulled the bush in the front and the small old concrete slab in the back for us. On top of all the careful detail on the texture and saw lines, Lee's team went above and beyond and got the job done in about a week! We really couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. It is now beautiful, functional space.
