We received a super detailed, very professional proposal the same day. Their meticulous attention to detail was immediately obvious from that first contact. Dylan came up with a great solution. The work was approved on the first pass! For our second project, they did a REALLY long fence over hilly terrain. Dylan was very careful to make sure we were on the same page about how the fence would look, and we love it! One thing I have loved about working with SLC Deck & Fence is that they start when they say they will start, and they work hard until the job is done. I was amazed at how fast our fence went in!

In the last eight years they have done a pretty big fencing job, some steel fence and some cedar, for us. Many of the steel posts have big blobs of cement above ground around them, which is unsightly and unprofessional and bugs me every time I see it. Parts of the cedar fence are now falling down, after less than eight years. I have texted Dylan pictures of this but no reply. If you hire these guys, good luck. Our primary contact was Brad who came out and discussed options with us. We had a lot of questions and he was very patient in addressing our thoughts/concerns. I wish we never chose Allied for our fence project. Our dog was escaping our 4ft fence and injuring…read morehimself in the process, so we needed new gates urgently. Got our estimate, paid the deposit and waited. And waited. And messaged, and waited. After 6 weeks of no update, I learn our color choice was backordered and nobody knew/told us (we would have chosen another color because our dog was getting hurt!). Figured out that delay, then, "any day now". Another two weeks, many reminders and nagging texts (I hate nagging contractors, I would rather they just do their job). Finally texted to cancel our contract and get our money back, and surprise! Our fence was ready to install. Installer finally came and was a hard worker, but the post they sent has exposed edges and didn't accept the hardware correctly. The hinges didn't really self-close so we asked for them to adjust them. The install manager came to "adjust" them but it still never closed by itself. A year+ later, the gates are warped and the hinges are garbage. They were supposed to be self-closing, but they are way too light duty for the weight of the gate. Not only are they not self-closing, but you can't even swing the gate closed because it's out of balance and just swings itself back open again. The gate is so heavy and out of plumb, it needs to be pushed closed to latch every time. Messaged about getting hinges replaced under warranty, in May, about 3 months before our warranty ran out. Of course I was given another run-around answer that the manufacturer is designing better hinges and can we wait for those? I asked for that to be emailed in writing, so we would still have the hinges covered under warranty. Last messaged received May 12th, it's now Sept 16th. Nope, never got an email nor hinges. Not holding my breath, although I expect they will amazingly show up with hinges as soon as this review posts. Two stars instead of one because the gates are still standing.

I paid Davenport Foundation Repair $6,762.99 for concrete stabilization and a 1,183-square-foot…read more"Concrete Protection System: 2-Part." Unfortunately, I continue to have significant unresolved concerns about whether all of the work I purchased was completed. The proposal separately described targeted PolyLEVEL stabilization and a 1,183-square-foot 2-Part system that included PolyLEVEL under the concrete slabs and NexusPro joint sealant. Before I purchased the project, the salesperson explained that the targeted PolyLEVEL work would involve injections through the concrete slabs and pool capstones for stabilization. He separately explained that the 2-Part system would involve additional PolyLEVEL injections beneath the concrete throughout the treated area, followed by NexusPro joint sealing. The extent of these additional injections was presented as an important component of the system and part of the justification for its cost. I was present during the PolyLEVEL installation and did not observe the additional injections being performed in the manner the 2-Part system had been described to me. When I later raised this concern, I was told that the injections had been performed. I subsequently inspected one control-joint location where the NexusPro application was already incomplete and did not find an injection opening or visible PolyLEVEL foam there. I therefore asked Davenport to provide installation records identifying where the PolyLEVEL associated with the 1,183-square-foot system was actually installed. I have not received that documentation. There were additional incomplete areas. Some PolyLEVEL work did not provide the coverage that had been represented. Planned injections around the pool capstones could not be completed, and the salesperson later acknowledged that omission and offered approximately $220 back for that specific work. That refund has still not been issued. I also found that no PolyLEVEL injections had been performed in the area extending toward the basement stairs, despite that area being shown within the project drawing. There was also a separate, clearly visible problem with the NexusPro installation. Portions of the control joints were left untreated because storage chests and unattached cinder blocks were sitting over them. I specifically asked Davenport the day before the work whether I needed to move anything and was told that I did not. After later moving the objects, I found that the joint sections underneath had not been sealed. Davenport subsequently acknowledged that these sections had been left untreated. I sent Davenport detailed written notices asking for the installation records, clarification of which PolyLEVEL work was performed under each part of the contract, a financial adjustment for incomplete PolyLEVEL work, the previously offered capstone refund, and completion of the unfinished NexusPro. Update 10/06/26: After multiple attempts to resolve this directly, including email correspondence and a certified-mail letter, I have not received a substantive response addressing the remaining issues or providing a timeframe for completion of the acknowledged unfinished NexusPro work. I would still prefer to resolve this directly, but at this point I am proceeding with the remedies available to me. I will update this review if Davenport responds and resolves the matter.
