Some of the posts are even shorter than the fence panels! It's as if I hired high school kids who had never built a fence before to do the job. Totally unacceptable, but if he had at least fixed one of the really bad posts I would have been satisfied enough to not have to waste my time writing this review. The only thing worse than the quality of the fence was his service...too much bad to say to even begin. Some details: Adam installed a vinyl fence with gates (total about 30') last November 2022 but it was way out of plumb (especially the latch post of the 10' gate, which was over 2" out of plumb). He promised to come take a look after Thanksgiving but didn't. I contacted him but he said he had other jobs and couldn't come until after Christmas. He didn't come. I contacted him again and he said he had other high priority jobs and couldn't come until after the new year. After contacting him several more times I was finally able to get him to come mid-January and reset the gate latch post, but he put it in essentially the same place...still 2" out of plumb. For several months he kept promising me he'd get it fixed but kept putting me off behind other jobs. In August 2023 a storm destroyed the gate (because he failed to put a couple important bolts in the latch). He fixed the broken gate (but he charged me another $150 to do it), but he didn't get to the post repair because it started to rain. He said he would come back and fix it in a couple days when the rain stopped. After several more weeks of trying to get him to come back, and after he kept putting me behind other "high priority" jobs, he finally said he was upset about problems with his help, with the industry, and with the country and he refused to fix my gate post because "it just isn't worth it". Wow! That was professional. I will probably have to end up hiring another company to redo the entire fence and suing Adam Jensen for the entire cost. Reviewers who gave this company greater than 2 stars must have been reviewing some other company...it couldn't have possibly been Adam Jensen Fencing. I gave him one star but would prefer if I could give -5!!

They kept putting off our job, delaying us a couple months. They blamed their suppliers, but when we called their suppliers they didn't understand why Kodiak was telling us that. They finally came out to pour the footers and said they'd be back to finish in a couple days, then didn't call or show up when they said they would. Then they ghosted us for 3 weeks. We finally got them to come finish the job but then they tried charging us for our existing fencing. When we told them the bill was wrong, they denied it until they sent someone out to speak with us. They sent a new bill which was still incorrect. They began calling, texting, and emailing us daily saying that we were late paying them, even though the bill was still incorrect, acting like we were at fault. Steer clear of Kodiak unless you don't mind paying half the deposit up front, waiting months for them to do the job, then being harassed for payment on an incorrect bill.

We hired CFC six years ago to construct a large Trex deck and Trex waterfall steps leading up to…read moreour home. They completed the job and it looked lovely for a couple years. Sadly it began to fail (Facia board warping). We reached out to Trex because we were told their warranty is amazing, this was big selling point for us six years ago. CFC was also the Trex certified installer and leading importer of Trex material in our area. Fast forward to today. It's been a nightmare dealing with CFC. CFC shrugged off our worries and sent us to Trex to file a warranty. We sent in the warranty claim and Trex denied it stating that CFC installed the entire project WRONG! Trex sent pictures of their installation manual with directions of how CFC had installed the facia facing up, exposed to the elements and it is prone to warp, which is what ours started doing. CFC has been acquired by a new owner since our initial install. I'm hearing a few people are currently suing them for their shoddy work and the installer from CFC who came out to our home stated that they have had several call backs for this same problem, improper installation. Cameron, the new owner is combative and aggressive, continually expressing frustration that he is being held accountable for the past owners mistakes. As I told him, he chose to keep the name and claim he has been in business for 30 years (he personally has not), so he has inherited their mistakes. He is blaming Trex and stating they changed their manuals after their initial installation. This is one of those companies you have to call multiple times to get the work done. It took months of reaching out to get them to finish the work. When they left the job undone and I requested they return to complete the work agreed upon before settling the bill, Cameron threatened reaching out to an attorney and put a lien on my house if I didn't pay immediately. Shocking to say the least! He backed down and sent someone the next day to finish the job thankfully. Paying thousands of dollars six years ago for initial install and then six years later being stuck paying thousands more to fix the initial mistakes has been less than ideal. It's the typical blame others for what went wrong, make lots of promises of how you'll make it right and then complain and drag your feet about fulfilling those promises. As a consumer I'd avoid CFC and be cautious about hiring Trex Certified Installers. They are not all created equal....

They are true to their word. During the course of tear-down and new post installation, the crew cut through a partially obscured exterior AC power supply conduit, requiring a $1,324 electrician visit. I had asked to speak with the owner, Cameron, in the hope of possibly splitting the electrician fee, but he did not respond. I suppose I understand since the contract is clear. Again, a nice fence with an unfortunate installation error.

We had a great initial experience with Best Vinyl. The install was great, price was high but comparable to what others quoted. Fast forward 9 years. The railing is at an odd angle. We had them come out a few years ago to "fix" it but see the photos for how well that went. Now the support beams are slipping out of the brackets. The deck is actually caving in. We emailed to have Best Vinyl come out for an estimate on fixing it. No reply. I called and was told to send photos of the problem, which I did. No reply. I got a different contractor to come out and he said everything should have been nailed in, but wasn't. The beams were just set into the brackets. Totally unacceptable and not up to industry standard. This was a disaster waiting to happen! We barely use the deck, so this is not from misuse or excessive weight on the deck--it was installed improperly. DO NOT USE Best Vinyl unless you want your deck to be on the verge of collapse in under 10 years!

I could tell you how a quoted 6-week bid turned into an almost 6-month job. (The bid was for 4-6 weeks out. The fence was installed 6 months later) I could tell you how Brie, the "scheduler" was put in charge of our job and contacted my mom once; every other time we had to call her. I could tell you that the job boss rescheduled multiple times, and never showed up on the days he said that he would. I could tell you how we ordered and paid for, REINFORCED Vinyl, as the fence is bordering a horse pasture, yet what was installed is a cheap material and feels like if a strong wind comes along it will blow it over, and there is absolutely ZERO reinforcement. I could tell you how the custom gate, which we spent extra to have built, is not reinforced, has some flimsy piece of vinyl across the backside that is only decorative and NOT reinforcing, and that the gate itself only needs a little pressure and it's already coming apart. I could tell you how the End post that was installed for the existing chainlink fence is NOT an end post, but a center post, and still does not have a top on it. Or how said post is not attached to the vinyl fence. Or how the workers failed to stretch the existing chainlink fence so that it sags. I could tell you how neither the gate nor the fence is LEVEL. I could tell you how NO ONE has come back out to the property to look at the fence after we notified them of all the issues. (Now over a month later) Or, I could just post pictures and you can decide. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. We got our first quote from this company in February 2021. We got our posts installed early April and we're hopeful that supply chain issues were a nonissue. Our fence panels were finally installed around August but gate issues left part of our fence unfinished. Weeks went on with no communication. We finally started calling weekly. About September we got done posts in. The gate was too small so they had to come out and change it. Weeks went on. It is now December 1st, 2021...they came days ago with the same small gates and said they'd have to build new gates. We've heard nothing from them and I've not been able to have my children use our yard safely because it's not fenced in. I'm angry because we've been incredibly kind and helpful. I'm angry because we're on a half acre lot and four of our other neighbors did their half acre yards with them and they've been completed FOR MONTHS. I'm angry because we've already paid. I'm angry because Nothing is going right. I'm angry because I feel taken advantage of for my kindness and I don't want to be kind anymore. If you use then: beware of the waiting. Get everything in writing and double check their numbers because they tried to up our price multiple times citing supply chain and price changes but...ya'll we signed a contract. Every single person at this company was very kind but I'm still in this hole waiting for my gates. And it's been nearly a year.

Got two independent bids that were thousands cheaper and went with another contractor. Kent then asked for ridiculous fees, including for digging post holes on the wrong side of the property. Tried to negotiate a settlement in good faith but Kent doesn't believe any of the issues are his fault. Keeps blaming us for "changing our minds." Was condescending to my wife throughout. Very, very disappointing.
