This location is a bit smaller than others, but that doesn't match anywhere near the size of their customer service skills.. this store has amazing customer service skills and had quality work and has a gorgeous bakery.. you can see from my pictures. These particular cakes are not done by the current cake decorator, but she also does a great job. The bakery manager, Shannon, does amazing at keeping her department full and looking good, with the help of her bakery 2nd in line, Ben. Both have been such a pleasure to talk to and always have smiles on their faces! Great job to Ben and Shannon! If you ever need a hot lunch, don't hesitate to say hi to everyone at the deli department. Everything is cooked Fresh and sandwiches can be made to order right before your eyes! Great job Deli! You guys should definitely say hi to Jenna, she's in the floral department. The floral arrangements are looking dazzling every time I come in. Everyone does an amazing job, but there's that bond that you form with certain people that makes that experience memorable... The rest of the store always looks fabulous! Thanks to the amazing store manager, Nate!! I have had the pleasure of talking with him and he is truly a caring manager. He keeps the smile on my face! Easy and convenient in a small town where there isn't a lot of that. Also good and fast service everyone there is pleasant to work with.

The worker Enrique who works at customer service and sometimes at the checkouts is so rude he will literally call you ma'am 20 times in one transaction no woman in Northwest wants to be called ma'am once or twice is enough but if you say it literally 10 to 20 times in one transaction it makes me want to scream why are you making this so formal and uncomfortable stop saying that noise at me we're just two people doing a transaction I'm not your grandma I am 50 years away from being a darn grandma between the ages and the formalness we are not in court and you are not a policeman it is strange I literally avoid the Safeway in Sunnyside so I don't have to deal with him because it is so strange to me please inform your workers to stop mamming everybody most women do not appreciate it down to the ages I'm like I said and down to the is so formal that it's almost rude at this point we are not in the South it is not normal here so it is taken most of the time and not a flattering way I've asked a lot of women about this and they all agree in the north it's strange and it's offensive so please tell your workers they can say whatever they need to say without that sound on the end and literally risk offending their customers especially Enrique read more

During my year here I had excellent service and always good food. In a small town like thi sit is possible to met you rneighbors; co-teachers; parents of students and others from the area. A surprise which is often pleasant. Note: some young staff were clearly working their first job.. no tas clear with communication as they shall be. read more

Well, I am pleased to report that they have made improvement. I am not sure if someone has seen my review, if a complaint to corporate reached the right ears, or if managment just pulled it together, but the last three months have shown vast improvement (not enough for a 4th star, but they seem to be working towards it). Cashiers are much more pleasant. I have been offered help out with my groceries 9 out of my last 10 visits (even when I had my husband with me). Milk is just as well-stocked as the beer now, and they have increased variety in their meat department. read more

I live out of town but grew up here in Sunnyside. Shopped at this safeway 30 years ago. Now whenever I am here visiting family, I am in here daily for my coffee at Starbucks and for whatever else I may need. Service is always friendly and especially a shout out to the Starbucks staff....I have asked them to re do my drink a few times because they did it a little different than I was used to, and they were very friendly and accommodating. Nice work. My family doesn't drink coffee and I have to come here for my fix. The store is also nice and usually has what I want although they definitely have a smaller selection than some safeways.
