A few days ago I walked in and the entrance was covered in garbage and inside the store was no better. I called and spoke with a manger but she blames it on the "local workers", saying they were messy instead of taking the responsibility for her store being dirty. It was pretty disappointing that she made a slightly racist comment. The workers never want to help and seem to wander around aimlessly on their phones. I'm not trying to shame anyone at all but a lot of the clothes the workers wear are pretty dirty looking and don't even look like they want to be there at all. There was a worker saying he didn't even want to be there, which is silly to say so loudly in front of customers. Maybe they don't, but maybe customer service isn't for them then, and maybe the managing should be doing a better job at managing.

The girls are very kind and knowledgeable. It sucks that they don't have a pharmacist right now. But they do have a couple of people that do come and work there during the week. Thank goodness for that. Otherwise this Riteaid probably would not be open. Riteaid has been my pharmacy go to for over 30 years. With the lack of resources in the area, i.e. pharmacist. I'm sure it's real hard on these girls to make sure prescriptions are ready to go when you arrive. I just want to say thank you to everyone that has done such a great job at helping everyone that comes to their counter. I know it can be hard. Hang in there all of you. What a wonderful "blast from the past" to walk into Ritzville Drug today! I haven't been in a…read moredrugstore like this since I was a kid living in Fircrest, WA back in the 70s. It's the quintessential small-town drugstore filled with every kind of sundry, medical item or personal care stuff of all sorts, gifts, toys, greeting cards, yarn and knitting supplies, paints and hobby items of many kinds, and a neat-as-a-pin pharmacy in the far corner. Gifts of all kinds abound - lots of really cool stuff scattered all throughout the nicely arranged shop. They even have a small jewelry counter, just like the one in the Fircrest drugstore all those years ago, when I bought my 5th grade girl a pretty necklace. Even the smells inside trigger memories of that long-gone shop of my past. But the best part is this one still exists and seems to be doing well. We made sure to make a number of purchases and a few small gifts for friends back home and for future trips will always make a point to stop in to take a break from the road. If you're reading this from I90, take a break and stop in. I'm not connected in any way other than wanting to share what I discovered today. You won't regret wandering Main Avenue and popping into this and all the other awesome little shops and stores on Main. Happy to vote a full 5 Yelp Stars.

After the pharmacy staff member finished her greeting, I was unexpectedly placed back on hold before I even had the chance to speak. I then spent another 10 minutes waiting. When I finally got through, I asked what had happened. Jamie was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, then transferred me to her manager, who was somehow even less helpful. To make matters worse, I never asked for my prescription to be canceled, but when I went to pick it up, I found out they had canceled it after my phone call anyway. No one explained why or attempted to resolve the issue. After this experience, I'll be taking my prescriptions elsewhere. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect basic communication, professionalism, and customer service. Unfortunately, this pharmacy failed on all three.

Most Walmart stores carry many of the same everyday items, but this location offers some unique products that make it stand out. If you're visiting Lake Chelan and need supplies, sporting goods, snacks, or just want to browse, this Walmart is definitely worth a stop. On the contrary--I feel stores like this represent the best of the old America I grew up in. Bridgeport is in the middle of nowhere, and Gross Drug is the last old business in a town whose demographic has changed dramatically in the last forty years. During all that time Dale and Sheryl Gross have maintained an old fashioned feel to their full-service pharmacy and drug store. You can find obscure products from your childhood and the latest cancer medications. There's an excellent magazine section (the nearest one that's better is fifty miles away). Gifts, children's toys, cards and beauty products, stationery and office supplies, even a few vet supplies. Everybody there is friendly, cheerful, and will literally move the world to get you what you need--just ask. The old Five-And-Dime--my home town of Menlo Park, California had one. It's now replaced by a snarky boutique in a high street utterly unrecognisable from the gentle backwater it once was. So dreadfully sad. But Gross Drug in Bridgeport, Washington is INSTANTLY recognisable from the days when America was intimate and friendly. Long may it live!
