I love this Super Walmart! It has just about everything you can imagine. I was in Lake Chelan enjoying a fun afternoon in the sun and stopped by looking for something to help cool me off. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection. They had fresh tropical fruits, cold drinks, kayaks, and other outdoor recreation items that aren't available at my local Super Walmart in Seattle. Some of the larger items would be a little difficult to haul home, but it was great to see such a wide variety of products geared toward the lake lifestyle. Most Walmart stores carry many of the same everyday items, but this location offers some unique products that make it stand out. If you're visiting Lake Chelan and need supplies, sporting goods, snacks, or just want to browse, this Walmart is definitely worth a stop. When I started shopping at this Walmart I would have given it 4 stars; it's gone down since. The prices are high and they've discontinued so many of the basic foods I used to buy. There are foods and products that cater to Hispanic tastes in more isles now. The staff is mixed, some are friendly, some are rude. The pharmacy is still great and the store is clean, but now I have to shop in two stores when I used to be able to find everything I needed here. I have to start this out by saying, I typically hate Walmart. They're large, impersonal, not usually very clean, and the other customers always seem to be in a huge rush or no rush at all. But this Walmart is so nice! The view is stunning, the store is organized and clean, and the associates were all so kind. We had an issue with payment due to Apple Pay not being available at this store and Walmart Pay having technical difficulties, which we did not discover until it was time to checkout. Customer service was kind enough to hold on to our items while we ran to our cabin and back to get another form of payment. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Been to Walmarts all over the Seattle area and in Wenatchee. The Chelan Walmart is the best one by far. Employees are friendly and helpful. Cashiers are friendly and engage with customers. The Customer Service Center is quick and knowledgeable. Even the Vision Center employees are fabulous. The entire store excels at customer service and is always clean and organized. read more

The workers that work are great and helpful, most of them don't and just text or chat with their buddies. And the rest in between are constantly stocking (often very disorganized by the way) so it's pretty hard to navigate through both the people and the abysmal, cramped aisle setup after their rearrangement a few years back. Fire/theft(?) alarm gets tested way too frequently over the loudspeaker, the new self checkout things are extremely buggy compared to the old ones, I could go on. I don't have high expectations of a walmart of all places but this is probably the second worst one I've dealt with in terms of the actual store side. Pharmacy though? Coverage issues here and there but otherwise, top notch. read more

I love Walmart In general and this Walmart in particular was by far the cleanest most organized Walmart. Also, who can complain about the Mountain View's in chelan?! There is a huge variety of water sports and lots of fishing accessories. From kayaks, life vests, coolers, fishing lures and live worms. I was on hold for a long time and no one picked up, just trying to get a price but it kept leading me back to the front desk where the lady kept putting me on hold. I get people are busy but not that busy to give a short answer. Whenever I got to the store everyone seems so dismal and uninterested in helping. Management should probably do a better job at letting them know they are there to help customers. read more

This was, by FAR, the nicest, cleanest and most organized and well-stocked Wal-Mart I've ever been to (and I've been to a few). As with all Wal-Marts, the prices can't really be beat. But this store has an integrated grocery section and there are fantastic options for produce, including organic foods, and international/cultural foods in the grocery aisles, and great prices on meats. All the store departments are clearly delineated with suspended signage from the ceiling; you can see at a glance where the womens' clothing section is vs. pharmacy, for example, and once in the pharmacy section, each aisle is clearly marked as well. I found what I needed in short time (surprising, for such a huge store). The dressing rooms were roomy and clean and the ladies staffing them were so nice. The check-out lady was quick and our line moved super fast. And she was so nice, too. I thought this was a brand new store, but was surprised when she said it was about 10 years old. She mentioned that the manager runs the place with an iron glove (she didn't say this in so many words, but it was implied) to which I replied that, whatever he's doing, he's doing it right, as this store is fantastic! I'd be here weekly if I lived in the area, for sure. read more

Came in very excited about the prices and selection of products. Found many items that we needed and received great help from a lady restocking products in the aisle we needed. Thanks for helping us find the extension cord (: What was really disappointing was what happened after. My daughter, boyfriend and myself went through the checkout line of Estefania. My boyfriend was getting himself an alcoholic beverage. She asked for both of our id's and I said no. There was no need for me to show mine. She said the store policy is that if anyone in the party looks younger than 40 she needs to check ID. I asked about the policy for my daughter and she declined to answer. The next group in line was a woman and 2 men. I watched her check them out and she didn't check the two men's id's, just the woman, but still sold the beer to the "party". Be more consistent about your policy so that people like myself don't feel discriminated. read more

I generally like this Walmart and I do appreciate that they have a huge sign out front saying masks are required (per state mandate.) Problem is there were about 20 % of customers in the store either not wearing masks at all or wearing them as chin diapers. They have a young teenage girls at the front but I don't think it's fair to expect her to tell customers they need a mask. They need an older person who can be firm with people who are coming in "No mask, No service. Period" read more

Let me preface by saying that in my opinion ALL Walmarts need some work and none are going to perfect. However, the Walmart in Chelan gets pretty darn close. It's not as big as some of the other Walmarts (say in Wenatchee, Lynnwood, Marysville, etc.) so they may have a limited supply depending on what your needs are. That being said, this store is by far the most cleanliness, most organized of the Walmarts I have been in. I have shopped at the Walmart in Wenatchee, Everett, and Lynnwood, and have been extremely let down in comparison with the Chelan store. The Chelan store is very easy to navigate, and if by chance you can't find something, there are always people to ask. Plus, when you ask the associates at the Chelan store, 95% are very happy to help you and actually take you to the product. They don't point you in some random direction or seem annoyed that you need help. Furthermore, almost every associate I have encountered at least smiles and acknowledges your presences. This is a vast improvement over what I have experienced else where. In addition, the management team also acknowledges the customers and gives a friendly salutation or asks if there is something they can help you with. This is a rarity in the Walmarts on the west side of Washington. Now, will there be bad days? Of course. Will there be times where you may have to wait a few minutes to be checked out? Of course. That is how all stores are. And keep in mind that if you visit in the middle of summer, the store will be busy. It's Chelan! Just relax! read more

I am so grateful for this Walmart in town, it has everything from auto service to groceries to home and garden supplies. The store is well stocked and the employees are always willing to help. It is 24 hours so you can get what you need when you need it. The organic food selection is impressive and the avocodos are the best in Chelan and Manson. read more

Walmart is essential to Chelan. It is the lift blood of the city. It acts as a home depot, a grocery store, a rite aid, a target, etc. The staff are not always the brightest but besides that it usually has what you need. Wish they carried more organics. Time and time again this store is understaffed and poorly managed. Today at 9:30am there was only one register open with a LONG backup. I tracked down the manager (who was conveniently on break). She says I need to wait a few minutes and she'll see if she can find someone. You go there during slow hours to get in and out quickly and then you end up spending 20-30 minutes to be able to check out. I also can't tell you how many times there were no carts inside - In a WM Supercenter! I have started finding one out in the parking lot before going in just to avoid going back out to hunt one down because no one has collected the outside carts all day. A little management and supervision would go a long way at this store. read more

Like many people , I have a love/hate relationship with most Walmarts, the the Chelan Walmart Customer Service folks just did an incredible thing for me - I'm definitely knocked out with pleasure. Long story short- I desperately needed a copy of a transaction receipt from last week. Sharon in the office, and the management team researched it, found it and faxed it... All during Thanksgiving and Black Friday! And they did it with a "no problem" attitude. I'm in the guest service/hospitality business and recognize great work on at BUSY time. The people working at the Auto Center are great! I was visiting family in Entiat (I live in Seattle) and had a slow leak in my tire. I brought it in expecting a pretty quick fix but when they uncovered the problem, it was a cracked rim not a flat. The car was not safe to drive back across the mountains. Heeding their advice I did not drive the car and set out to find a rim that would work. No one in Wenatchee or Chelan could get a wheel quickly enough that would work so I went back over the mountains in a borrowed car. I found a wheel in Seattle that the BMW dealer had said should work and brought that back over to Chelan a few days later. The Walmart team worked on my car for 4 hours to get the rim to fit! It was an older rim than the ones on the car. We made it safely back over the mountains due to the diligence and incredible workmanship of the team. The Service Manager, Chad, is top notch and was concerned about my welfare and worked hard to get me safely on my way. Not only did this team put my safety first but they are some of the nicest people I have met in a long while. Every single one of the team I spoke with, either on the phone or in person was helpful and sincere in their efforts to make this experience go as smoothly as possible.
