    Safeway bakery's Solar system cake and florist's galaxy bouquet for my son's 1st birthday.

    We love doing our regular shopping here and the workers are super friendly. I've had Safeway's bakery do a couple cakes for me in the past and they were outstanding. They'll work with you on any vision you have by giving them an image of what you're thinking. All of them come out better than the original!!! I asked for a solar system cake by giving a pic of an example and this was way better! Plus, since it was our son's 1st birthday it came with a free smash cake. I can't forget the floral department!!!! This was the first time working with their florist for an event and she simply out did any expectations I had. We worked on a dollar amount ($25), the number of bouquets which included the vase, and our theme which all were beautifully done in a manageable budget. This photo does not do the flowers justice! The rose had white, blue and purple and some of the baby breaths were silver for a galaxy themed. The florist was amazing to work with by calling the day prior to make sure everything was good to go and she was flexible with me when I asked to add 2 additional bouquets in the last minute. I cannot express how grateful I am for going with Safeway's bakery and floral department! They are amazing artist in their profession. I fully recommend going with them! Plus, the store in general is great with wonderful workers!

    BUG

    Yeah I don't even know how you miss AN ENTIRE ASS BUG IN THE FRIED RICE. This is a June Bug, fully cooked. Is there no quality control?? Do you not see A LARGE DARK SPECK while you're cooking? Like this little guy got seasoned and cooked on all four sides; he went from production to grill, then display out to consumption with not a problem. It is so large and dark, clearly it was a bug NOT an ingredient that was added. I don't know how anyone just *overlooked* a big ass bug. It's obvious their store is filthy and they don't care about what is in the food they sell to customers. When I called they offered a refund "ew, umm you want a refund?" and didn't even seem surprised or concerned in the slightest about their product being completely disgusting and unacceptable. As a person in customer service and production you should go out of the way to reassure customers It'd be looked into and we would remove current product right away.

    Always a line at the pharmacy during peak times, expect 15-20 minutes before you get to the register. Only one cashier.

For us the deli is the hub & Gloria is the best! We order multiple containers of salads & ceviche to take home. In comparison to the other Winco's, they are the BEST hands down! The pea salad is creamy & you can taste every ingredient in it. The bacon, the onion, the peas, the cheese & they meld together so good. In other Winco's, I'm sorry to say, I find them always lacking in something . The ceviche? Omgoodness! The awesome thing about this particular Winco is, they take the time to shred the crab meat. I don't know if that's a big deal for you but for us, we like to get meat in every bite of our crab salads or ceviche. The other Winco's leave big chunks of crab (to each his own) & you either get crab or salad ‍. Today when we went in, they we're out of ceviche. Gloria literally stopped making what she was making & told my hubby to come back in 15 min & she would have the ceviche ready for us. I've had other staff at other Winco's simply tell me they were out. Period. When I inquired if they could make more I was told it was against policy to do that . I am still very unhappy with how I was treated in the first place, but at least they made steps to correct it. My rating isn't higher because the employees still seem so miserable any time I go in. I get better, friendly service at my local Walmart. am basing this rating mainly off of the pharmacy department, but I've had unfriendly personnel from every department in this store. I am writing this in the next day after I calmed down. I came in to the pharmacy on Tuesday, September 3rd at about 12 PM. My doctor told me to transfer my prescription from my current Pharmacy over to Safeway and use a good RX coupon, because my insurance would not cover it. The woman that I dealt with at that time seemed irritated that I was there. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe she had just had a stressful day and was tired. She wrote down my information and told me I could pick up my prescription the next day (09/05/19) after 4 PM. On Wednesday, September 4, I went in to pick up my prescription. I was not able to get there until 8 PM, after my regular pharmacy had closed. To begin with, the "gentleman" who helped me was very short with me. When I tried to explain what was happening, he looked at the computer system and said I was nowhere on file with them. Apparently the woman I had spoken with on Tuesday had done nothing to try to get my prescription transferred (and if she did try, she did not call me to tell me it didn't go through). The "gentleman" made what I viewed as a half hearted attempt to get my prescription. He took my bottle (which had one refill left) and called my pharmacy. Being 8 o'clock at night, it was closed. So he stood behind his desk several feet away from me and told me that the pharmacy was closed. I made the wrong assumption that he was going to try to help me or at least tell me to come back the next day. So I stood there and waited, probably between 3 to 5 minutes before he finally looked at me again and repeated that the pharmacy was closed. There was no offer to help, no apology that anything got mixed up. I was treated like a suspicious person that had come off the street trying to get a hold of a scheduled narcotic. This was a simple medication. The way both pharmacists treated me was appalling. I am going to school to be in the medical field. If I had treated a patient that way, at best I could hope to be reprimanded, otherwise I would most likely be let go from my externship. On the website it says that pharmacy services include transferring prescriptions. I do not understand why I was treated so badly for wanting to transfer a prescription in order to use a Good RX coupon. I will not be returning to this pharmacy. I don't expect them to fix this. But I want the staff to understand that they cannot treat people this way. Even if I was a suspicious person from off the street, I still deserve to be treated like a human being. I could not believe the way these medical professionals behaved. I admit that I did raise my voice towards the end, telling them that I had been told I could come back that day to pick up my prescriptions. Again, there was no apology, no acknowledgment. They stood behind their computers and ignored me. I will be posting this review every where.

    I would like to share some concerns about my experiences in the optical department. On several…read moreoccasions, my interactions with Rochelle have felt unhelpful and, many times, passive-aggressive. I've left multiple conversations feeling frustrated, discouraged, and without the information I needed to make informed decisions. In my most recent visit, I explained to Rochelle that my husband had purchased my glasses as a Christmas gift and that I wasn't completely sure if they were bought at Costco, but it was very likely. Earlier that day, I had called and spoken with someone in the optical department who advised me that there were options available either they could look up proof of purchase through my membership or I could pay a fee to have my prescription added to my current eyewear. When I came in later that evening, Rochelle was the only person available. After I explained the situation, her response was extremely rude and implied I was lying. When I asked what my options were, I was told that I did not have any. I shared that I had already spoken with someone earlier and did not appreciate feeling like information was being withheld. I then asked to speak with a manager. A young man that was manager came over shortly after, he said he was unsure how to handle the situation. At that point, I felt uncomfortable and defeated, and decided to leave. Because this has happened more than once with Rochelle, I've started to feel uncomfortable seeking services there, as I worry about having another negative interactions. I value clear, respectful communication and would really appreciate a more supportive and consistent experience moving forward. The store overall is a good experience definitely room for improvement in customer service all around with workers and improvement on better quality items.
