I can only say that this was a pretty straightforward grocery store, with everything you'd expect. We were looking for food for the next day, and were limited to a mini fridge and microwave in our hotel room, so we perused many an aisle for ideas. Being sapped from the sun, we probably spent more time here than necessary before settling on fried chicken, a salad, and some wraps. It's not my daily store so I can't give you the nuanced in and outs, but it's a grocery store full of groceries plain as can be, and that's all I needed it to be.

We arrived around 3:05 PM on Tuesday, 9/22/26. All of the signs indicated that the store was OPEN, but unfortunately, the door was locked. We knocked, called and left a voicemail, and waited outside for about 15 minutes, but no one came. It would have been helpful to have a notice posted if the store needed to close unexpectedly, or at least to have the OPEN sign turned off so customers would know. We had plans to continue on to Telluride and Black Canyon, and since we're leaving Montrose at 7:00 AM tomorrow, we weren't able to wait any longer or come back another day. We left disappointed that we didn't get the chance to try Ray's Jerky and purchase some for our trip.
