Working at Walmart was a consistently disorganized and frustrating experience. Scheduling was extremely inconsistent due to an AI-generated system that was left largely without proper managerial review, resulting in chaotic and unreliable shift patterns that made stability outside of work difficult. Employees were also given work phones while being paid unlivable wages, and the attendance point system felt heavily restrictive and unfairly enforced, creating constant pressure and instability. Communication from management was poor, with unclear expectations and little follow-through. Coaches were frequently rude or dismissive, and there was little to no recognition or appreciation for hard work, even when employees consistently went above and beyond. Concerns raised by staff were often ignored or minimized, including serious interpersonal issues between coworkers, which were not handled appropriately. Overall, the environment reflected poor working conditions, low accountability, and little support for employees. My delivery arrived missing an item. I called the store twice and selected the pick up and delivery department. The phone rang so long I was transferred back to the store operator. The second time the operator told me to call back in the afternoon because they were too busy and there was Noone to help me. Are you kidding me? What started out as an easy fix is growing into a major time wasting issue for me. read more

Thank you to everyone that was there yesterday at Walmart. They were kind, this man from outta state that apparently on something. He came outta blue and started yelling at my car and running towards me. I was afraid for my life and others with the way he was acting they called the police and they responded quickly. The employees at Walmart made sure I was safe. They walked me to my car. This man was apparently on some kinda drug. Hopefully they got him off the road and incinerated for everyone's safety. The WORST customer service possible. I paid to have my groceries delivered, and was forced to cancel my order because not only was it never delivered, but the employee kept hanging up on me when I asked about my order. if it was possible I would leave a negative number star. Michelle was extremely rude at the Montrose store. She made us leave the self checkout line and go to an already long line at a register because she said she couldn't have an extended line at the self checkout registers. The other customers were upset as well and a few refused to leave. I have never heard of or had this happen when shopping here before. When I was passing through town this store was being built outside the city in the county, the manager of the Walgreen store downtown told me that the Wal-mart marked was the end of his store. Now I see all of these complaints about the big box store. Sad. read more

Their restrooms are nasty and the scan machines are nasty. With the workers would pay attention to the people and scan machines being nasty the might think to wipe them down. I was going to ck out and the machine was gross so I called a man over and told him don't you wipe these down? he went and got a wipe and cleaned it off half assed. He turned around to talk to another employee and I heard he called me a Bitch. I was going to confront him but I decided to contact Walmart's main office but it was never resolved that I know of. Let me preface this by stating I do not like Walmart's practices in general (especially the way they pay their workers), but sometimes there are items you simply need in bulk from their stores that are not sold elsewhere. That being said--Monica went above and beyond to help me find what I needed today. She also told me when the exact product I needed would be restocked and when. Best Walmart I've been to in a long time. However, the perishables part of the food side doesn't even get one star. 3 or the past 4 times we purchased meats or vegetables at this store, we have had at least one item rotting. Don't buy perishables at this store. Otherwise, they are definitely a bench mark place to shop. read more

Went to this Walmart today to pick up a few items. Visiting from out of town. I thought Walmart required masks - not this one. There wasn't a employee checking for masks at the "in" door like the other Walmart's I've beeN to. Only about 50% of customers wearing masks. I was wearing a mask. I visited this store on September 6, 2020. I estimate that 50% of the shoppers did not wear masks. When checking out at self checkout at 12:33pm, an employee asked if I found what I needed. I expressed my concern over the lack of mask wearing. The employee said, "not to be political, but that is a mandate, not a law." It is a Colorado law and it is enforceable with both civil and criminal penalties. When I informed her, she became outraged, said if that were true the cops should be in there and they are not, then stormed off. I expect that this attitude comes from top management at this location. I will also be informing Walmart corporate. read more

Well this store use to be nice and reasonable. Now prices went up, I saw a lady take cheap item put expensive item below and scan cheap item and put both in the bag she continued doing that her whole cart. No one questioned her? No security. They have elderly employees working in garden in 100 degree heat and no shade at all for them. I ask the older guy you don't have any shade he said nope, he's asked and been told he's there to work. Been going to this Walmart for years. It's an average store. Usually find what I need and at a lower price than other stores in town. Yes, they rearrange the store every so often, but me being the adventurous type, will not complain about it. I just use common sense and think for myself. I just look around till I find what I need. The employees are very helpful in finding what I can't. My main beef right now is the reviews I see on here about employees and customers not wearing masks. One even said it was a Colorado law that masks must be worn by employees. Not true. But I digress. If you are concerned that no one is wearing masks, take into consideration that some may be concerned because you are wearing one. Let people liver their lives and you do you. Bad pharmacy in Montrose CO let me say that they will cost me thousands of dollars with their NEGLECT. Another weekend without my prescription have to miss 2 days of work because of this. They are constantly rearranging the shelves and after the last time I went in (which was about 4 months ago) and they had done it again, I walked out when I couldn't find anything and the poor staff who were sent out on the floor to help other lost soles were just as lost as I was. I feel sorry for the staff who work there. Management there is the worst and it's no secret to anyone. I will pay a little more at Safeway and City Market (altho' Walmart's prices are about the same anymore) and not have to deal with the frustration when I walk thru that door. read more

This is an average Walmart. It's not the largest Walmart there is. Right now they are rearranging the store so it is hard to find items.

Most of the employees are rude and ignore customers for the most part. I went in to buy a printer and the clerk in the electronics section was flirting with a young woman... showing her photos and videos on his smartphone. I was needing help on a printer but was ignored. I picked up a printer, set it on the counter and waited while he was still carrying on with this young woman and not more than 6 feet from me. I waited for over 10 minutes while they laughed and carried on. I left the store and purchased a printer at Target which was on sale at a much better price. I complained to Walmart via email about the clerk and never even received a response from Walmart Customer Service. This store is a joke and a disorganized mess compared to the other Walmart stores. I have never had a bad experience at this Walmart. The employees are friendly and helpful. Areas of shopping are well marked, aisles are clear and there are always people tidying up. It is always a pleasant experience when I shop at this store. read more
