I live my Safeways but, this was the first time I needed gas bad so I stopped to gas up. Never again!! I have a Corolla it only takes 35$ to fill up in these high priced times..... Walmart is a lot cheaper and their drivers know if they steal your groceries Walmart will prosecute them Safeway tells you you have to call Uber and complain. I have notified the people in produce several times about the rotten grapefruit they are selling. No one cares, no one does anything to remove them from the produce section. These ROTTEN fruits go for 1.99/ea. I returned one that was horribly rotten, but couldn't get my entire 1.99 back because I didn't have a receipt. I have shopped almost exclusively at this Safeway for 3 years, yet the store can't refund me the cost of rotten fruit. I hope I don't see these grapefruits for sale anymore. Safeway stores are really good here in Kingman. We were visiting some friends out here for a graduation recently, and we stopped here to get some stuff for a party. As usual Safeway is always nice and clean. There is a Starbucks here, and I got me some coffee as well. So I got all the food I needed. I got some fried chicken at at the Deli here. Worst grocery store i have ever dealt with in 58 years. Who ever is in charge needs to go back to school to learn how to use a spreadsheet to control the stores inventory. Where to even start! First off the pharmacist CHARLES has no customer service skills or sense of urgency whatsoever! I stood in line for over 20 minutes waiting for TWO people ahead of me. When I finally get service, he asks for date of birth and last name then tells me "I don't have anything here for that name", that's it, just looked me dead in the eye and said "yeah I don't have anything for that name" when I asked him what do you mean? The other pharmacist Chandra had to come over and look at the account because she has some sense of customer service, she told me the last two transactions that should have occurred and the one with the prescription I was there to pick up being returned to the shelf a month ago. A MONTH WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS PRESCRIPTION BECAUSE SAFEWAY PHARMACY CANT EVEN BOTHER TO CALL THE CUSTOMER TO LET THEM KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!!! So Chandra has me come over to the drop off window, where I am speaking with the tech and she chooses to give me attitude rather than inform me of how all of it works in a manner that would help me better understand WHY THE HELL IT TOOK A MONTH TO BE TOLD THEY WONT BE FILLING THE PRESCRIPTION! So much unprofessionalism in one visit! Why the heck does it take Charles so long to help customers. The line was six deep by the time I left. I've never had such problems with a pharmacy ever. Sorry that I can't do your job for you, because at least I would have had the decency to call my customers to explain why the hell I can't fill their prescription, instead of leaving them hanging. Every time we call they don't answer the phone or tell us to hold. Today someone called us from the pharmacy telling us to pick up the prescription which is why I finally came in to get it. If you have no social skills, don't work with people. If you are afraid of speaking to customers, find a job where you don't have to deal with customers. Sick and injured people are your customer base, you have no idea what the customers are facing and when they come in to pick up their medicine they don't need your employees attitudes. I didn't speak to her the way she chose to speak to me! I have regular insurance and they treat me fine, but I go pick up a prescription for someone on AhCCCS and they give me attitude like no other? lol you're not better than people on AHCCCS, if anything I just learned what it feels like to be someone on assistance, I've never had to deal with such condescending behavior at a pharmacy, EVER. Disgusting I'll be finding a new pharmacy for all my regularly billed prescriptions since y'all wanna treat people like second class citizens. Shame on you. Ordered a prime rib for Christmas dinner over a week ago, went in today to pick it up. Ha! There is already one review of this Safeway and it's from someone that stopped by while on a road trip as I did. Pretty much my experience here a month ago. This Safeway has hot soup and some other prepared foods that hit the spot much better than fast food. But the best part of my experience at this Safeway was the clerk that checked me out. I was listening to his conversation with the people ahead of me and it was obvious he had a good sense of humor. He commented on something I had while he was waiting for the debit to process on the customers ahead of me. He said "Those look good." I responded that there had better be three of them when he was done checking me out. One of my pet peeves with Safeway is that I can never seem to get a clerk to scan a Safeway Club card so I get the discount but I won't provide my info in order to get one. My wife need to order a cake for a baby shower. She traveled to this Safeway placed her order and the day she needed it by (two weeks advance notice). We again traveled to Safeway to pick up the cake, and the lady asked 'the one you were to pick up 'yesterday?' We wrote out over 50 invitations, I think we would know what date We needed the cake. No, you changed the date, and the showed us the ticket where the date was changed. As the conversation went. But one of the ladies brought the cake out from the cooler for us, with a price on it for half of what we were quoted two weeks ago. After this experience and the pharmacy experience, she will not come back. The Pharmacy Experience: We both just finished up at Urgent Care and we were diagnosed with the flew. This review is regarding the deli inside of this Safeway. Where do I begin? Let's start with the "hired help". I ordered an eight piece chicken. The worker was rude and obviously annoyed that I was taking her away from yucking it up with one of her pals. I guess I should have been examining her work through the glass to make sure it was accurate, which it was not. I received one chicken breast, two thighs, three wings, and two legs that I can not believe this chicken in real life had the strength to hold itself up on. So now on the food. I should have known something was amiss when dust was coming off of the poor bird parts. I got it anyway because I was starving. I got this bird home and it was the most scraggly, dry, without flavor and no meat on the bone disgrace of fried chicken I have ever seen or attempted to eat. After two bites I decided I would just go hungry for the night. I tried to give it to the feral cats that live around my house and they all scattered after deciding that they would rather go another winter without eating. So I saw A very emaciated coyote so I tossed it over to him. He took one smell of it, looked up at me and just shook his head before retreating back into the cold dark abyss that is a wild coyotes famished life. If you ever have to eat this Safeway rat meat do yourself a favor and become a vegetarian. read more

I shop here quite a bit, mostly for meat and drinks. I buy my vegetables at the 99 cent store unless Safeway is having a deal. I feel that customer service is fine, there are a couple of slow cashiers and the lines can get long, but I rarely shop when I'm in rush so it's fine for me. The selection is good, I especially like the bakery where I can get 36 cookies for 6 dollars for work potlucks. My only wish is that the prices on fresh fruits and vegetables were good without a sale. I think Kingman could do with a little competition, like a Sprouts or Trader Joe's. read more

Mediocre, but then this is the middle of nowhere. We had deli sandwiches from the deli. It took over 20 mins to get 4 sandwiches made. One lady was super nice, but very slow. The other lady that finally came out after a line began to form, was a bit faster, but cranky. My kids wouldn't eat their grilled cheeses. Mine and hubby's were ok. Veggies were old/stale. The bathrooms were far from clean - pee on the seat, hair and dirt on the floor, stall door wouldn't latch - and the paper towel dispenser was empty. I had the WORST Starbucks experience EVER the other day I was so disappointed. This was a Starbucks inside of a Safeway which can be hit or miss, but this experience was out of control awful. I ordered my beverage from the girl running the register; Venti Royal English Breakfast Tea Latte. This is a drink I know for sure exists because I have ordered it at many different Starbucks in many different states and even at Starbucks inside Safeways. The girl looked confused but rang it up and I knew something was weird when the total with tax only came to $3.01 but I paid and then moved out of the way to wait for my beverage. When the Barista (a different male employee) handed me by beverage he said "here is your breakfast tea", to which I replied "You mean tea latte right?" Then with a very bad attitude he proceeded to tell me that is not a drink they serve, when I told him I have ordered it multiple times before he then tells me with the same bad attitude, "Well I've never made it before so I can't make it" I then explained to him the gist of the drink and very nicely asked him to try his best with my instruction to make something similar and he got very upset and was cursing me under his breath. I still went on with a positive attitude and explained to take the two tea bags and add maybe a 1/2 of the amount of water, sweeten it and then add steamed milk (I don't work there but that was my understanding of the drink and I figured this would get me close to what I wanted". Again he scoffed and grumbled and went to work, and then finally slammed my new beverage down on the counter and shouted here your tea bags with milk on top, and then he turned around and under his breath added "bitch". So not only am I upset he obviously still didn't get it right, now he is calling me names because I tried to help him make a drink hes never made before??!!?!?!?! Are you kidding me. No offer or a stopper or a sleeve, there was none in the self serve area, so there I am mad and upset holding a super hot cup of disappointment, I took a sip and it was disgusting, so I just threw it away and left just in shock of the treatment I just received. This is not the quality I would expect EVER from Starbucks. NEVER have I had a barista argue with me and tell me a doesn't exist because he doesn't know how to make it and just be an absolute jerk to a customer. VERY disappointed. read more

In the last few months the quality of chicken offered in the deli has gone down drastically. There are not enough people working the deli to keep up with serving customers and the cooking of food so the food gets over cooked, so it appears. I was attempting to pickup a prescription at Safeway pharmacy and I was told that that they would not accept my valid Washington drivers license as an identification. I was directed to go to DMV and get an Arizona drivers license or identification otherwise they would not fill my prescription. This seem rather descrimitory that they only fill prescriptions for Arizona residents. There are many people visiting Arizona that also require medications and should not have to go to other pharmacies to get prescriptions filled. I did go to Walgreens in the same town and my prescription was filled with no questions. read more

I put coupons on my phone from their app and carry the mailed circular as I am very rarely ever given the sales price and digital free item is NEVER in computers, so carry your printout from home computer to prove it or expect to pay out the nose here. Shopped there approximately ten times - because of a sale item..but yet to leave without having to correct or identify wrong register readings. The manager in Starbucks Amber is just always so happy has a smile on her face she is so knowledgeable about her job she always delivers outstanding customer service.
