I understand when people delivering groceries as a side hustle hurry so they can get more orders in, but when your already angry at the world for who knows why and all you speak are excuse's when all you have todo is accept orders, follow instructions, grab groceries and deliver them, it's not my problem that you can not conduct yourself accordingly . let alone you and your wife can't do a simple job that your getting paid todo. Their short staffing problem just became everybody else's problem. Waiting 1 1/2 for easy meds. Important stuff and feeling bad... dog in car just out of surgery need meds and we live 2 hours from here. we are helpless. Dog needs meds or will die. We just needed to get meds and go home... all our animals on the farm are probably so thirsty.... We have other responsibilities we have to get to. These people really need to have back ups. I always shop at Smith's at home, so I decided to visit this location while in the area. It was clean, organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also visited other grocery stores and feel this one is the best in the area in comparison. She was obviously very upset because i did not give her my undivided attention and Said i had a mental pandemic as she told the next customer about me. I have always shopped here and have never been treated so rudely. I am sor ry if i wasnt as attentive as She would have preferred but i had just left my husband at the hospital and never heard a word she said to me until she started discussing me with the next customer. I switched to Smith's pharmacy from North country pharmacy 5 months ago because of their hours were better. But I soon realized that customer service was much more important as several times with Smith's pharmacy they would send my refill request to the wrong doctor's office and several of my refills recently took 10 days or more instead of the 72 hours that they suggest. Most recently they informed me that one of my prescriptions was due in 2 weeks and needed a refill and said that they would take care of that for me so today I call them and they said it didn't go through yet so when I called the doctor's office they had no record of any request being sent to them. So then I called Smith's back and found out that they sent it to the wrong doctor's office in Flagstaff. Now I don't know about you but if a person lives in Kingman I don't think they're going to be going to Flagstaff unless it's for some specialty. But regardless it was Smith's mess up to put it nicely so when I called them to try and get the situation fixed they were telling me that there was nothing they could do and that I would just have to go without my medication for several days possibly the middle of next week and this is Friday. So I asked them if they could give me a few days worth because the withdrawals from this medication, and it's not a class to narcotic, are so severe that I've ended up in the hospital before. They informed me that they could not do that and that I would just have to suffer through it or go to the urgent Care and get another prescription through them for it. I told them in a few words that that's crazy and not very good customer service. So I called my old pharmacy North country, whom I have not done business with since January, and then for me that they would gladly go ahead and give me a 4-day supply if I need it until my prescription was ready. 30 minutes later they called me and told me that they got the doctor to send them over a prescription and would have a my full prescription for me before the end of the business day. Now to me that's good customer service from North country but not from Smith's so I don't recommend Smith's at all. I won't even give them a one-star rating because they don't deserve that. But I guess it won't post unless I give them at least one star but they don't deserve it. read more

Dr called in rx 4/21/22. I called to make sure the Rx was sent. Tech stated Dr did not select dosage but they would call dr . I called 4/22/22 and was told by the tech rx was ready but only had partial order. I told them give me one part of the order and order the rest and I would pick up later. I get there and told I cannot use Good RX as they lose to much $$$. They ran the rx through my insurance and wanted to charge me over $80 for one of the 3 containers . I asked for my RX back and was told no. My Dr would have to call to request that I get it back. As a medical person I feel that I was being told different information and they were making it up as they went along. I then went over to CVS used my new prescription they took good RX and I got all three containers for $83.98. SMITH wanted to charge me that for one of the containers that I needed. Word to the Wise Good RX is still being used at all the pharmacies in town but SMITH's apparently !!! read more

Stopped into Smiths last night and I was shocked with the amount of people NOT wearing masks! WTH aren't we in the middle of a NATIONAL HEALTH CRISIS??? I couldn't get out of that nasty Petri dish of COVID-19 fast enough and it actually made me quite angry! I wanted to complain to a Manager but 1/2 the employees weren't wearing masks either so I felt it would be pointless.. Lots of complaints here, but that is America today. I go there early, because I dislike standing in line. Manager is there when it opens, he actually greets customers when walking in the aisles. The lady at the quick scan check out - with the LV Raiders jacket - could not be more helpful. She will accommodate any customer and take time and has developed a relationship with many of the shoppers. The store is clean. My visit is for food for me and my dog, I am not shopping in a place with fruit flies on veggies and produce. How do you say WM? They have bugs in the produce section. Love this store it is the best grocery store in Kingman they just remodeled the whole store and it is so nice clean and organized there prices are great too they have many self checkout stands so you don't have to wait in line. They also have a good meat dept produce deli bakery cheese counter pharmacy and I believe they will shop for you and all you have to do is pick it up. read more

I was not going to review Smith's but yesterday when I showed the butcher a photo of what I found in my $22 worth of ribeye steak, he was so rude! Unlike the online interface indicates, they do NOT Deliver in Kingman anymore. You CAN place an online order for curbside pickup @ a specific time, which is convenient, although this does NOT seem to apply to any products like Nicotine patches (and, no doubt, liquor or cigarettes), which means they lose a star based on the fact they should easily be able to confirm one's age via their card system -- especially when one is ALSO a pharmacy customer. Well, duh.,, Speaking of their pharmacy, Smith's has one of the best. One does not have to wait an eternity 4 a prescription 2 be filled. As long as it's been called in or sent to them electronically, the wait is typically around 30 minutes. This does not include "line time", which can add another 20 minutes or so to your experience, depending upon the cognitive abilities of the people ahead of you in the queue. Call ahead & ask if it's ready... that's the quickest method (but you still stand in line unless the universe is smiling upon you). Typically terrific selection. Lots of organics. Try not to turn L out of the parking lot unless U have nerves of steel & R willing to wait awhile. Good deals on petrol 4 frequent shoppers w/ a card. read more

I went yesterday for the very first time. My Nurse Practitioner recommends Smiths Pharmacy. They were so courteous and helpful and the Pharmacist went out of her way to explain how my meds should be taken. The gentlemen in the drive thru was also super helpful and professional. That is one of my favorite things about Kingman is you get good service almost everywhere. read more

I really like the prices for gas/diesel at Smith's... Yes only 1 diesel pump is a bit annoying but not at all a problem... Why, because the first time I stopped at Kingman looking for fuel I saw Smith's prices were very low so I decided to fill up unaware these were membership prices... I never pay at the pump so I asked the cashier about a Smith's membership and could she help me with it... She set me up with a membership card while I pumped fuel... I've become a regular at Smith's, due in part because of the kindness of the cashiers every time I've gone there... So I wasn't gonna tell this story but here goes: early this morning, I went to a Love's truck stop here in Arizona and ordered a Veggie Sub like I often do for breakfast on my 30 minute break. I ate it like I normally do while driving. I get maybe an hour away and my lips and throat start swelling while driving and I start to feel like I'm gonna faint behind the wheel. I manage to get to Kingman, AZ and I call 911 from our truck and wake my husband up. Dispatch stays on the phone until rescue gets there. They take me into the hospital, give me steroids, pain meds and nausea meds to try to reverse the effects because I was throwing up by that point and had severe stomach pain also. I was released around noon Pacific time today. I went to Walmart to fill one prescription but they didn't have the other, so I went to Smith's which for those who don't know is the West Coast affiliate of Kroger on the East Coast. I was told the prescription was $65.00 for 20 pills. No problem because there's no generic. The pharmacist then asks me if I have a discount card. I said no and was prepared to pay full price. In that moment, she said "I have your back, don't worry." She winks at me almost like an angel from above and says "$15.02!" I honestly cried as I was walking out because I am always trying to help others and there are times where I don't feel like others help me because I'm independent and they think I'm the type that either doesn't need or wouldn't accept help. Smith's may be open 24 hours a day, but be advised that you will may be roadkill if you're in the store after 10 PM most nights. The aisles are filled with pallets, you'll spend an extra hour reversing and trying to find a clear aisle and the sealed concrete floors are punishing. Even people who are riding electronic carts are in pain when the aisles are clear: they have to contend with tricky navigation of narrow aisles of filled with "specials", are sometimes blocked by displays of DVDs and Seasonal Specials and are advised not to shop in the store late at night. As for the 'Special Deal on Pepsi', this is the way Smith's works: for a few weeks, prices will be low. Then, they'll magically soar into what can only be called 'absurd' ranges. Ergo, when you see a special, know that you'll need to either stock up for months or be paying through the nose for the same 'deal' in a few weeks. Smith's is anti-competitive with Basha's, which is Arizona-based and community-centric. This may be a consistent practice with Kroger-owned stores in many states. Some of their prices are consistently outrageous. When in Kingman, acquire the store flyers or compare prices on the web. Often, you will find deep and consistent discounts at the Walgreen's across Stockton Hill Road or better deals at the Wal-Mart next door. As for comparing pharmacy prices on the web, I've found Smith's does not disclose the costs of their medications, while Walgreen's does. Curious. read more

I love Smith' in Kingman. I am in there at least once a week. Every one is very friendly and the employees speak to me very warmly. Except for Angela - I went through her line on the Wednesday before THANKSgiving - she was chatting very nicely with the customer before me and told him to have a great Thanksgiving. When she got to me, she looked at me, but didn't open her mouth, usually the cashiers ask "did you find everything you needed" or how is your day going? This young lady said nothing, when she finished checking me out, I paid with my card, she handed me my receipt and that was it. I was so annoyed I told her, that she was NOT a "courtesy clerk" as her name tag indicated rather she was rude...she looked at me and actually said "SO". I was surprised to be treated like that. I spoke with another clerk and she instructed me to go online and complain about Miss Angela and corporate would deal with her. read more

Usually have great service at the Kingman store, but today it was pretty bad. Went to self check out, they were pretty busy, but that is no reason to be rude to your customers. We grabbed a gallon of milk with the code number off, she had no idea what it was, so we had to go get another gallon of milk ourselves. Then we did not have the code for the almonds, and again they did not know the code, so we looked it up ourselves. We had the coupon for double points and asked one of the check our ladies how to use it, she seemed very put out that we asked, she pushed a button and scanned our coupon and as I held my hand out to get my coupon back she threw it on the counter and walked away without a word. We do over 90% of our shopping there because we like it, but another visit like this and we will shop some other places instead. read more
