A large amount of space inside was mostly filled by booths and tables with a few TV's scattered around. It was also a very colorful space, with pictures and art everywhere. Amazing smells from corner to corner, comfortable booths and a classic Mexican restaurant feel are what you have here at El Potrillo. I got up and walked back in the back and asked for the right sauce. What did I see a stack of plates. I pointed them out and she said something under her breath and rolled her eyes. Now my heart rates up. So when she walked out and gave me a plate, I told her she had a bad attitude, I know the whole room heard me. Nothing upsets me more than inconsideration sorry. I don't care that your dog died (I love dogs, I have 4 dogs and have lost a 16 YO German Shepard ) but asked her why she is taking it out on us. Anyway I won't be going back to any of these locations unless I hear from ownership. I know they are local and I suspect that they are relying on their employees and the employees are slacking big time. I am a local since the early 70s and I have heard this from a few. Do better, we are now going down to El Palacio. One more thing. The ingredients were good but the sloppy way the Pizza and Fajitas were put together well sloppy. The shredded beef was on half the pizza, the sour cream and guacamole were runny and combined somewhat. In the picture there is a slice missing, but the close up there was not just a sloppy gap and careless presentation of the dish. After driving by this place for several years I finally stopped in. What a wonderful surprise. The very first thing you see is the pastry and pie case, next comes the ice cream selection both made in house. A bit further down is the fruit bar and above is the menu for all the great looking Mexican food. Twice now I was there for their breakfast burrito and found them to be the best in Kingman. Not only that my wife and I split one which was more than enough. And with the breakfast you can choose from assorted salsa's and fresh vegetable garnishes. I choose the guacamole and it was perfect. You order at the counter and they bring you meal to your table if you eating in house. Nice selection of booths and tables sounded by Spanish style wall mural. There was just one thing lacking. They serve instant coffee. With all the ice cream, bakery goods and treats a nice fresh cup of coffee would have made the experience perfect. Yet in spite of that this has become one of my favorite places in town. read more
