Driving to Vegas we just happen to land at this place for late dinner. Pretty cool place in somewhat quite nothing out here area in Kingman . Didn't want to eat too much late so I ordered menudo and burrito supreme with rice and beans. Complementary chips and salsa was nice. Salsa had pretty good flavor. It was close to closing so not too many people. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Menu seem little overwhelming with so many items.. But their seafood stuff looked good but bit on the high end for price. Menudo was more white then Rojo but broth was nice and clean tasting. Darn tripes were cut way too big for my liking. It was a large piece to shove in your mouth haha. Burrito had shredded meat and it was also yummy. The meat was very tender and wifey said it had little bit of citrus flavor. I did not eat a big enough bite to tell but what I tasted was yummy. Beans and rice was also yummy. If I happen to drive through here I would definitely come back here. Oh not to mention the inside devote was pretty darn cool.

Combination of meats plate with beans

Stopped in here on our way to Oregon. Was pleasantly surprised with the food and drink. We went to the bar & had a HUGH Pacifico beer for fairly cheap. Partner & I split the different meats plate and glad to say it was good. Had a variety of meats such as carnitas, barbarcoa, carne asada & pork pastor all very good. Our waitress was very sweet & attentive. We would definitely stop in again if ever in the area! Give them a try it was good and reasonable priced plus enough food to share! The restaurant is decorated like Dia de Los Muertos really really cool!

Oh my goodness. What a find! Stopped in Kingman for gas and decided to eat. This place was so good. We each had 3 different dishes , enchilada, taco's, flautas, all chicken. None of us were disappointed. The decor was total Dia de Los Muertos, many Catrina dolls and art work. Will certainly return if I'm ever driving through Kingman AZ

We've loved LA Catrina's food for years, we usually get it to go, so I never paid much attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant. Today was different my daughter and I ate inside this time. After ordering I was looking around and noticed how dirty EVERTHING!!! was.... from light fixtures, booths, windows etc. I don't usually complain but when I eat somewhere I like to think the place is clean. It starting making wonder what the Condition of the kitchen was in. Like I said I've ordered food from there over a dozen times, and was good. But for health sake, and visual appeal, please take a day and clean up your GROSS restaurant,Your customers deserve it.

Had dinner at La Catrina in July. Service and food quality were very good at this family-owned restaurant. I ordered a three-combo platter with a chicken enchilada, chile relleno, and chicken taco with rice and beans. Recommended!

Food is alright, service is good, prices are too high I think. I guess we are paying for the fancy decor and tables. It's pretty nice.

As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a friendly bartender who quickly got me settled with a great margarita and a menu. We ordered our food to go, and everything was delicious. My husband had the fish tacos with rice and beans, and he couldn't stop talking about how flavorful they were. I was especially impressed by the menu's variety of vegitarian options--including a unique potato taco. I chose the vegetable enchilada, and it exceeded my expectations. The sauce was perfectly balanced and incredibly tasty. Honestly, I wish I had ordered a second dish to enjoy the next day. We were also served a basket of freshly made chips and salsa, which were homemade that morning. There's just nothing like fresh salsa that was on point! Overall, I highly recommend this spot for family and friends. It's a small, cozy place, so calling ahead for larger groups might be a good idea. The food is easily some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had in Arizona so far.

Last night, I came here for dinner and it was amazing. El Potrillo is really a classic Mexican…read morerestaurant, but with no faults at all. I ordered the Tour of Tijuana, which is a selection of three different tacos with a side of rice and beans, as well a handful of lettuce and some limes. I also ordered some of their homemade hot sauce, which made everything better. Everything was extraordinary, from the juicy, tender meats to the fluffy rice to the flavor of the hot sauce. This meal was very cheap for how amazing it was, with a taco that I couldn't finish and boxed it up and took it back home with me. I will order this again, no question. Service was excellent. When I came in, I was sat down pretty fast at a booth and although it took a little longer than usual, it was because a fairly large just entered the building. The waitresses were very polite and were helpful and fast, they did a great job. Inside was good. A large amount of space inside was mostly filled by booths and tables with a few TV's scattered around. It was also a very colorful space, with pictures and art everywhere. Amazing smells from corner to corner, comfortable booths and a classic Mexican restaurant feel are what you have here at El Potrillo. From amazing food and drinks, to fast service and polite servers, to a spacious, colorful inside and mouth-watering smells, El Potrillo hits every mark. I look forward to coming back here again for another great meal. Thank you!

We got one red and one green. The green one was delicious, the red lacking sauce but I could have went and asked for a small amount but chose not too. The shredded chicken could use a little more moisture but that's ok. Burrito was spicy but husband likes spice. Warning though, when I say he likes spice, he goes looking for spicy challenge, not many impress him like this one did. Good flavored spicy, not just heat and not overly vinegary. The rice was on point, soft, fluffy, good flavor. The salsa bar is small but clean and stocked. All the salsas have a unique flavor. The best part was the cheesecake churro bites. yes. $5 for a nice sized box of it plus icing. Thanks for lunch. Oh there was this one nasty lady that bitched about having to get her own utensils....they're next to the salsa bar and the soda machine. So that's a thing out here in Kingman I've noticed, you got to look at the demographics of these reviews and the ages of the folks leaving them...a lot of them are bitchy old white folks that don't get their way, or they just haaaaad to complain about the one little thing that went wrong out of the 8th time of being there that month. Yall know who I'm talking about...and the rest of you know I'm talking about you. Anywho, it's a good little Mexican spot, make sure you tell them lots of enchilada sauce.
