Kingman has so many Mexican restaurants that sometimes it's hard to choose where to stop for lunch. It's been a while so we popped into La Catrina to see how it's been updated since the last time we've been in. The artwork inside is gorgeous and vibrant. We were greeted and seated right away and our orders taken. I got the chicken enchilada suiza with the rice and refried beans. It was so good I ate all of it! In Kingman must do the local fare. It is not more local than La Catrina. Chips and salsa in the beginning. Real good, crispy homemade chips and salsa with the right amount of intentional spice. I ordered the spicy jalapeno margarita. That was a disappointing. Not much spice on the Margarita and it was very sweet. Switched to cerverzas after that. Had the camarones ala diabla. The sauce had a good consistency and heat, the flavor was lacking otherwise. read more

Ok been here 4x now, very consistent. Cool vibe, servers are hit and miss, good salsa and chips, like I have a big can of el pato salsa and add onions and a little cilantro. Queso is so good, queso birria is good from my white girls, spinach enchiladas bomb, arroz y frijoles very good. Driving to Vegas we just happen to land at this place for late dinner. Pretty cool place in somewhat quite nothing out here area in Kingman . Didn't want to eat too much late so I ordered menudo and burrito supreme with rice and beans. Complementary chips and salsa was nice. Salsa had pretty good flavor. It was close to closing so not too many people. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Menu seem little overwhelming with so many items.. But their seafood stuff looked good but bit on the high end for price. Menudo was more white then Rojo but broth was nice and clean tasting. Darn tripes were cut way too big for my liking. It was a large piece to shove in your mouth haha. Burrito had shredded meat and it was also yummy. The meat was very tender and wifey said it had little bit of citrus flavor. I did not eat a big enough bite to tell but what I tasted was yummy. Beans and rice was also yummy. If I happen to drive through here I would definitely come back here. Stopped in here on our way to Oregon. Was pleasantly surprised with the food and drink. We went to the bar & had a HUGH Pacifico beer for fairly cheap. Partner & I split the different meats plate and glad to say it was good. Had a variety of meats such as carnitas, barbarcoa, carne asada & pork pastor all very good. Our waitress was very sweet & attentive. We would definitely stop in again if ever in the area! Give them a try it was good and reasonable priced plus enough food to share! Oh my goodness. What a find! Stopped in Kingman for gas and decided to eat. This place was so good. We each had 3 different dishes , enchilada, taco's, flautas, all chicken. We've loved LA Catrina's food for years, we usually get it to go, so I never paid much attention to the cleanliness of the restaurant. Today was different my daughter and I ate inside this time. After ordering I was looking around and noticed how dirty EVERTHING!!! was.... from light fixtures, booths, windows etc. I don't usually complain but when I eat somewhere I like to think the place is clean. It starting making wonder what the Condition of the kitchen was in. Like I said I've ordered food from there over a dozen times, and was good. Pretty run of the mill Mexican joint. The ambience is Day of the Dead, as advertised, but that's the only thing that makes it stand out. I have been invited to this restaurant and bar several times, my friends love it I think it's because it has a small bar section and the bartender(s) are beautiful. To me not much on customer service (communication with customers) the drinks are great and prices are great. The food is ok. I am maybe wrong to say this, I go out to enjoy my food, great service, smiles, some short conversations, to feel welcomed. Anything else I get at home. The service is very good and the food delicious. The supreme burrito is $14 and rice and beans is $2. I got my bill and was charged $18.50 for the supreme burrito. I brought it to the waitresses attention and she told me the rice and beans is $2 each, and that $18.50 is what the register charges. I advised her that's not what the menu showed. She said she would ask her boss. She came back and showed me on the receipt that she gave me a $2.20 discount to make up the difference. If you decide to dine here, watch your bill. read more

Great food, atmosphere, and service! They were very busy, but our server was still very attentive. Loved the decor as well.

I had a frustrating experience initially, which was solved excellently. We were seated, the server brought our drinks, plus chips and salsa. We then sat there for 25 minutes without the order being taken due to some miscommunication. When staff realized the problem, they intervened immediately, and took several steps to make it right. It is not fair to detail the steps, but I felt the response was generous and appropriate, and it did include putting a rush order on getting us our food. Any business can make a mistake, and the response is all that counts. The response here was excellent. The decor here is really lovely, and the restaurant is comfortable and clean. The chips came with refried beans and a nice salsa. I had the carne asada, which was very tasty, and I also had the Camerones de diablo, which was hot and spicy, but I knew that. It was hot, but not overwhelming. The flan was very nice. The menu is very large and reasonably priced for a sit-down restaurant. I will definitely eat here again, and I want again to thank the staff and management for taking care of things for us. read more

We got stranded here in Kingman and found this really nice place! It made our circumstances not so bad finding such a great Mexican food restaurant like this. The decor is amazing! The prices are reasonable and the quality of food in our experience was good. What made us really love this place, was the service! Our waiter, his name is Jaime, was so kind and attentive. He even bought my son a flan when they didn't have ice cream to make it up to us. Thank you for your amazing and kind service Jaime! Great little spot not too far off the freeway. It was pretty busy on a week day afternoon which is always a good sign. I was driving back to Vegas and passing through town and found it on Yelp. They've got a full size restaurant and a little bar in the way back. It was very authentic. Good food. It was a little pricey and the service was slow, but again they were really busy and not too many workers there. Overall, I'd stop by again while passing through town. Plenty of parking right out front. Small bathrooms and there is some construction on that exit of the freeway, but hopefully that's done soon. I'll be back as I go through town pretty often. read more

Food was so gross . The guacamole tasted like it had fish in it. The strawberry margarita I ordered never melted after 35 min. To the point the strawberry still stood up. It tasted like peptobismo and was so sweet on top of that. Our beef fajitas were rubbery. I told the waitress and left a note on our receipt we would never be back. Stopped by on a random weekday while driving through the area. I really enjoyed the art and ambiance of the restaurant. The food had good flavor, but was a tad expensive for Kingman. I will say that I wish my chile rellano was crispy. One negative was that the servers were not paying attention. I had to wave them down several times. I'd try them again though. Worth the wait. Went on a Sunday with family and saw how hard these ladies were working. Luckily they have amazing micheladas and margaritas so we enjoyed that while waiting for food.
