I've been a shopper at Dollar General for the last 2 years since I moved to Kingman Arizona, But as of recently I have to say my experience going to this particular location has been nothing but pleasant. The staff are very courteous and polite although I will admit they do have some of their bad days just like everybody else not everybody's expected to be perfect everyday but the staff here overall is just so welcoming. Particularly Chris. The amount of times I've come in and seeing him there, He's always there welcoming me with a smile or a joke. He usually goes above and behind as usual duties whenever I need something and this is something I've observed in him doing with others as well. And despite the abuse that some of the other customers give him and the other staff he never wavers He just keeps it moving and moves on to the next thing. There are a few others I would like to mention but I don't really know their names but they seem very very capable of doing their jobs especially the manager who I see sometimes in the morning while she's straightforward she is never rude or unwelcoming whenever I get servedrung up by her. And the nice older lady that's usually there in the mornings seems like she's a godsend I always see her running up and down those aisles just putting things away and getting back to the register to help for someone her age this woman moves fast and deserves a raise in my opinion. Anyway the location is good and sound The staff there are pretty polite and reliable but like I said sometimes they do have their down days It's to be expected while the location is fairly clean I will say the floors are the only thing that seem wrong with the place. Feel like they could use a third person every so often during the evening and night shifts but from what I was told by one of the employees that's just the way things are. read more

The staff get one star. They are polite. The store is filthy. It really needs to close of one day and do an e-cleaning of the floors and shelves. It is disgusting to go there. Just depressing with the filth in the place. read more

I just went up to DG on concho, had reciept for $7.00 lighter that didnt work and wanted to exchange as well as purchase a few items. I get home and she gave me back the one that didnt work and took the receipt but gave me receipt for my purchases. Thinking about it, I now have to go back there and talk to a manager before the cashier could change up the truth and explain this and how this cashier deliberately took the good lighter to exchange sets it on the right side of cash register and puts the non working one in front of cash register because I asked her upon leaving wheres the lighter so shr grabbed one in front of register SO SHE CAN POCKET $7.00 AND PUT GOOD LIGHTER BACK ON SHELF. WHATA SCAMMING LITTLE THEIF. I WILL BE GOING BACK UP THERE TO DEAL WITH THIS CRAP. ANOTHER NEW EMPLOYEE. GOT RID OF ALL THE GOOD ONES AND HIRE THE CRAP. So...the cashiers at this location seem to be a little petered at the domination of American currency. I sure hope this review reaches the owners!!!! There are now 2 NEGATIVE situations at the opposite ends of the spectrum involving children. A few months back, my son went into this location on Hualapai Mt. Rd. with his friend who is poor, and all but homeless. This child had a bag full of change (including lots of pennies). He had enough to pay for what he was purchasing, but the cashier complained about it, embarrassing the poor child in front of everyone! The man behind them PAID for his order, because he was in a hurry, and didn't like the fact that the cashier was criticizing this poor child for spending his piggy bank savings at this store! Today, Oct 5, 2018...I sent MY son there with the only cash I had...a $50 bill. The cashier on duty right now, complained to my son for bringing in a $50 bill! "Why does everyone do this to me?" Really?! It's an INCONVENIENCE to give someone 2 $20 bills for change?! So much so, that you would yet again embarrass my child who is in there DAILY spending money, supporting YOUR job?! I want a personal message sent to me from the owners/corporate, promising me that my son, nor his friends will EVER be embarrassed by cashiers at this location again for spending AMERICAN CURRENCY; or we will never shop there again. And I will be a word of mouth advocate to make sure all my friends in Kingman know that your cashiers are ABOVE the legal American Currency...because it's soooo inconvenient for THEM to accept any domination that PAYS THEIR WAGES. read more

Cashiers are rude as all get up. We are in here every other day because it's the closest stop by our house and practically the entire staff acts like you are the biggest inconvenience. I wish they wore name tags because I'd give you names. There's one lady in particular that really tests my patience. I've seen her give CHILDREN attitude and once a disabled woman!! I'd say save yourself the headache and go to Safeway. read more

Employees are very polite. Store is changing seasons, yet still neat and tidy. Store manager very professional when dealing with a computer error. Visiting AZ. Popped into the store. An employee walked in front of me, bumped into me and almost knocked me over. She did not let the customer go first nor did she apologize. I was so incensed that I could not even bring myself to complain. I just stood there and waited until I heard her name then I left and sat in my car taking a deep breath. I watched her and her behavior. Do they even drug test their employees? All I got in a name was Regina. Next time in AZ I wont be at this store. It's not as though they are special. read more

Im sorry but I give it the worst review I've ever given. Ive been in dg stores all over the states and this is the worst. After just moving to the area I go in this evening the only male employee was the only helpful person. The store was filthy and cluttered. The women employees were rude especially when asking where items were but the worst of it was watching my 12 yr old son who politely asked how much something was, be told to just find a dollar toy out of the bin, not be shown where the bin was. She was rude and then argumentative about it,when I called her on her actions. Im sorry but this Dg store will no longer receive my business. Having an accounting degree and business, I saw practices tonight that as a future business owner would cause employees to be fired. If other dg stores in the area have the same type of employees and cleaniness and strategies then dollar general has lost me as a long time customer of 20 plus years. Never have I seen the like in any of your stores and I have been in them in many states as customer and for delivery. Im sorry but this store has lost my business even for the convenience of being close to home and as a customer. I would rather drive an hr to Bullhead or across town to other stores. read more

This store is convenient 4 me. They don't have the widest selection of food choices BUT they do carry most necessities. The CURRENT staff is extremely nice & very helpful. No one has EVER been rude 2 me. The store is clean & as well organized as possible considering how hectic it often is + the way humans rummage thru merchandise w/o consideration. read more
