the entrance to a safeway store

Stopped in around 8am to pick up a few items. This week there is a digital coupon for grapes 1.77 a lb. Not real it's double the price Shopping in The early hours, the store is nicer cause there are less shoppers, however, you need to maneuver around the employees restocking the shelves. Lots of parking available at this location Watch the prices charged CAREFULLY while checking out cause I have found the sale prices are not entered into their computer system

Expired Rice A Roni

Literally bought a brand new box of Rice A Roni a couple of days ago and while cooking it saw at the bottom of the package it had expired 3/21/25. 8 MONTHS EXPIRED AND THEY ARE STILL STOCKING IT ON THE SHELVES?!?! I only go here due to it being so close to my home, however this is unacceptable. Word of advice, look at every expiration date before putting it in your cart because clearly the employees do not care one bit. There should be some type of quality control at this store.

This review is for Safeways bakery's Boston fruit cake, yes please. In Orange County we are spoiled by countless bakeries within arms reach, here in washington state it's not as accessible. This grocery store cake is fluffy, light. The cake is moist and layered with a Boston cream in the middle. I personally wish there was more cream but, the amount is a good amount. The fruit on top was fresh and the whipped cream was slightly sweet and plentiful. Although it's a 6/10 to likeness, it does remind me a bit of a Korean bakery cake. For $10 it's not a bad comparison

I love this Safeway! I stopped by on Friday to grab some last minute flowers and satisfy my kombucha craving and it looked like quite the popular Safeway. The outside looked majestic with the snow covered trees in the mountains in the background and it is located is a cute area. There was a large selection of kombucha to choose from and I chose multi green, which is one of my favorites. The flowers were breathtaking and I had trouble picking out a bouquet. The prices were very reasonable; at MET market the bouquets look almost the same except they are $38!!!! There were also great sales on wine I noticed at checkout. I went to self checkout and although it was busy the line moved very quickly. Great shopping experience!

Produce.

The produce section of this store has been more than just awful the last few months. I've attached a photo of just one example of produce that went moldy within 3 days of buying it. Black mold on one side, classic white fuzz on the other. This is constant. And for what they charge, it's robbery. There isn't any point in going back for an exchange because they have so little and what they do have looks like this when it's sitting there for sale. If it's not already molding in the store (assuming there's even a selection) it will be gone in two days tops. Most of the time I'm choosing the best of 8 cucumbers that they have for sale and one time my girlfriend brought one to the front that the cashier noticed made noise and sound when it was handled. Thankfully that person just threw it away. If you see me shaking cucumbers, you now know why. I'm not crazy. This store just has ZERO fresh produce.

I'm absolutely disappointed with the visit I just had at Issaquah Highlands Safeway. Cashiers are required to wear masks and the cashier I had today not only wasn't wearing a mask but had a deep cough. I called to Management to discuss and was told they would be having a discussion with that employee, it's obvious that the policy isn't enforced since she was out on the floor working against Policy. This will be my last visit, Town and Country in Lakemont take this Pandemic seriously and all their employees wear masks and most gloves.

Here is this Safeway st 10pm at night. No cash registers open and huge lines. This is becoming the rule and not the exception here.

This is my favourite grocery store in Issaquah and if I could live here I honestly would. I love…read moretheir selection of produce, they always have the juiciest strawberries and a delicious variety of apples. I love that they have such a diverse selection of fruit; my sister is always able to find something new and exotic to try. I love their sushi bar! My go to is shrimp tempura and I don't like it with avocado and the last time I was there, their sushi bar chef told me that they don't ever put avocado in their rolls with shrimp, but if I did want it made to order they could do that for me! Shopping local is super important to me and I love that at PCC all my fave local brands like Ellenos and Blazing Bagels are all in one place! I love shopping here and hope to try a PCC cooking class soon!!

I joined this PCC as a member in 2015 for their large selection of local vendors and plethora of…read morehealthy options! Also as I lived close by. The membership has evolved a lot since joining. I appreciate the free members item the most but regardless I'm happy that I joined. I chose Pcc often for their healthy options + baked goods. My personal favorites are the mighty'o donuts! And their vegan pies, brownies, and cookies. Staff are friendly. Market is easy to navigate and clean. My biggest complaint is the inconsistent offers of vegan pies. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I was happy to see the vegan pumpkin and vegan fruit pies. But then I go to this location and nope!! It is easy to just make them dairy free and you do t have to add the vegan sticker. That's what Costco does now with their fruit pies!!! The other complaint is the deli switched to pre-packaged items only. Which probably makes a lot of sense with staffing issues and or peak rush hours. However, if that's the plan, at the very least please secure your containers. And even offer stickers or rubber bands for extra support. Why is this upsetting? I got home from my last haul and my curry tofu spilled out everywhere, landing on my rug & me, which stained it yellow so obviously very disappointing.
