1850 is the Folger Coffee Company's (theoretically) premium brand. At $6.49 for a 12oz bag, I thought I'd try it -- should've bought more!

It's Safeway, so there isn't much to say. This is a fairly well run store with friendly, caring clerks. This store features a large footprint with plenty of quality inventory. Prices are competitive, and Safeway is a fairly aggressive merchandiser, so their ads, promotions and digital specials reward loyalty and good planning. Although I prefer to shop at my much smaller neighborhood Hagens, I appreciate the quality, variety and great prices Safeway can provide.

After idling for 2 hours at the border, we really needed a fill up. According to Gasbuddy, the gas station here was the cheapest in the area. Located 25 miles from the border, right along the 5 freeway. Part of the Safeway location but a little bit away from the actual grocery store. Small station, only a few pumps. No wait so I was in and out fast and back on the freeway heading back to Seattle.

Stopped in for my favorite sushi. And had a great opportunity to get my favorite done with creme cheese !!

Nice fireplace for some ambiance in the coffee area.

Welcome to Bellingham's newest (and, arguably, most gorgeous) supermarket. We Hamsters waited a longggg time for a Safeway, and it was definitely worth the wait. The store itself is gorgeous, designed more like a boutique grocery than the brightly-lit Safeway me and my mom shopped in when I was a kid. There are several different departments, each with a friendly employee to guide and help if you have any questions. Most impressive is that they are (I believe) the first grocery in Bellingham to offer a growler bar! What I don't like about Safeway is that their prices are just ridiculous. It's a good place to go to shop the specials and use your coupons (if you have the energy for coupon clipping - sadly I do not), but I would never go there to do my regular shopping, especially with super-affordable Winco just another couple of miles down the road.

All of their "live" clams were dead and you could smell it on the other side of the counter.

Was not willing to help me at customer service. They didn't care that I had a receipt or that item was just bought the day before.

*** This review is ONLY for their fried chicken in the deli ***…read more Being a health nut, I've eaten a LOT of fried chicken. (Just kidding... I'm not really a health nut) I've had chicken from every store's deli in Bellingham... repeatedly. I consider myself a bit of an expert on fried chicken. Consequently after many hours and bones of analysis I declare Winco's fried chicken the Best Of The City. When it's fresh from the fryer, it is unbeatable. The breading is fresh, light, tasty and cooked perfectly. The chicken has a crispy outside and moist inside. Perfect! As an added bonus, they put it out early, often by 9:00 am. Now I ask, who doesn't like fried chicken for breakfast? Wonderful. Try it. You can thank me and lick your fingers later.

Lately, I have not wanted to bother with Winco. Here's why. It's midnight, and I just counted 19…read moreemployees doing stocking, one person on a register, including one fat cat sitting himself down in the back room where the stocking and truck emptying takes place. The one open register has a line that is all the way to the back of the store - again. it used to be that if it came here after 11 PM, I could get checked out efficiently. No longer. By the time I get my cold food home it will not be anything but a pile of bacteria. Here's a newsflash, Winco: you can't stay in business until you begin taking money efficiently from customers. I think you're gonna need to pay those 19 employees you have stocking and emptying the trucks...But you're gonna have to SELL that stuff that was on the trucks, and you're not gonna be selling it to anymore. I can't risk my life getting my food home after it has thawed and has poison. Your low prices don't mean anything if I can't check out in a timely fashion. You're bringing it in, and you're putting it on the shelves, but you aren't taking money efficiently. That's just plain stupid. THIS IS N O T how to run a business.

Hello Again,My name is Stephen Curtis H. Brooks,The reason for my post today is due to the fact…read morethat the Fred Meyer Pharmacy on 800 Lakeway Drive Bellingham,Wa is truly improving. In the Past it had been cumbersome or irradict, even can be nerveracking Patience I'm told is a virtue but if you have a line leading out of the store and around the corner is and was not a good thing. They are okay at what they've done in the past tense is exactly that past tense Today when I got there before there lunch break be mindful that the pharmacist need to take a break for at least a half hour in which is normal in the State of Wa. and with the amount of customers they have or the volume of customers that need whatever they need to fill is enormous. In any given day they will make sure you get your prescriptions filled when they are ready, you should get a text message or email when you should or could be able to pick your scripts up,the date, time, hour.Do call before you leave your home and ask if its ready so,you don't want to wait! In any event the Pharmacist that work there has been much much more efficient in that they will fill your prescription or other at the time they text or email you . Note that you should give them there windows of time to make your purchase in a timely fashion to get what you need. In which is again best when you get the text or email for you and it is ready no hassle,no long lines just in and out. The people that you should ask for that are extremely efficient are Tim,Kim,Lauren,Basil and Harppreet. My experience with these folks is awesome. Yesterday I recieved a text message from the Pharmacy stating my prescription is ready ,so today they went out of there way to fill my prescription in about 5 Minutes flat. I did show my text message to let them know they sent it and they gave me my prescription readily. I was only there for 5 minutes flat,in and out! Due to the true fact they are definitely improving there performance, customer service, knowledge of your prescription due date and any adjustment let them know. They have all your information in there computer system so don't worry don't panic just read your text messages from them, call them first, then you will get your prescriptions without a wait or behind. They are only human like everyone but there can be an overload when you do not know or find out when your prescription is actually ready Hint:If you go through these steps you be a much happier customer at Fred Meyer Pharmacy on 800 Lakeway Drive Bellingham,Wa I now give them 5 Stars I would like to thank Deston who works in Check out Mrg in whom helped me with a purchase I had 2 packages of steaks and I was very disturbed by the a ringing when I was exiting,I walked back in and Deston removed the alarm off my purchase I know its annoying and very embarrassing when you purchase something with of course and have you receipt and then your leaving and an ringing is not cool. Deston Thank you!

We were going fishing on Saturday morning and we needed some fishing gear before we went out, I…read morechecked the Fred Meyer website and they claimed that this Fred Meyer had a lot of fishing gear like the Fred Meyer in Burlington has, however, this was not the case at all, we found almost no fishing gear, they were phasing it out and hadn't bothered to update the website or the fishing gear sign on in the isle. We did buy an old fashioned glazed donut, and a maple bar. The donut was the worst bakery donut we've had, it might as well have come out of a Franz box, and the maple bar was just okay, and was probably laying around for a couple of days. The Haggen bakery down the road has Fred Meyer beat by miles. This Fred Meyer also did not have nearly enough checkers to handle the Saturday morning crowd, and it took forever to get checked out. This store is a one and done for me, I'll never go back.

I am gluten free and vegetarian and…read moresometimes just don't feel like finding a restaurant and waiting for takeout, so I decided to just go here and see what they had at the hot bar. They had several kinds of indian food, a lush salad bar, and TONS of fresh-made deli items. I was tempted by a grilled salmon salad, gluten free mac and cheese, and the gluten free carrot cake. Ended up getting a vegan tofu burrito bowl and it was so good! I couldn't help but browse the snacks. They had every brand I love here, with flavors I had never even heard of. Ended up somehow resisting the desserts and huge fridge dedicated to olives and pickled goods and just got out with a few kinds of vegan jerky (which is hard to find for me). Again, heaven. I will have to come back on a cheat day when I am ready to sample all the gluten free dessert.

The food, of course, is high quality so it was worth it. People here are always super friendly and walking around is fun. We don't live here so don't do our regular shopping here. The inside (and out) is well kept and welcoming. I love seeing what the soap sample of the week is.
