Open concept class room
Charlene G.

The process from registering to completing this course is super easy and smooth. I started by selecting the class that best fits my full-time schedule and I was stoked to find that they offer a hybrid option where you can complete simulations online, then just come in for practicing with the different equipment (instead of a 3-hour class in the classroom setting). After completing the online simulation classroom requirement, I then came in for the in-class simulation using the equipment. There were 3 other students who attended my class. I loved the small classroom setting because our instructor Tj, was able to really give us specific pointers on what we can do better within our CPR technique. You graduate the course with a new BLS/CPR certificate is that's good for 2 years! I recommend this company for all CPR/BLS Certification needs! Thanks for a great class Tj!

Always taught by highly qualified knowledgeable instructors. Very relaxed atmosphere, the class room is not crammed with students. The tables are 6 ft apart and very clean, hand sanitizer on every individual table. I have been coming here fro 6 years and I highly recommend these classes. They have taken every precautions to keep the area clean and everyone safe.

"You will be walking away superheroes" I really did feel like that after this course. The instructor was funny, informational, clear, and relatable. Easy to find, book, and pass!

I generally do not like CPR training classes. The instructor's name was Carl with a K. He was experienced funny and very personable. I would highly recommend this training site with Karl for anyone that needs the education.

Always love this place. Instructors in incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and the least painful for something that I otherwise can't stand. **Burlingame was my instructor, highly recommend!!

Conner was my CPR, AED, and First Aid instructor. He was very easy to understand and thorough with our lessons. He gave us ample time to practice and made sure everyone was comfortable, before we moved on. He was funny and kept the class fun, while we learned a lot. I took CPR and First Aid, so our class was a total of 5 hours. We had plenty of breaks - one every hour. Some students close only to take the first three hour portion, with CPR only. I would recommend taking the entire course, because if you decide to take first aid later, you'll end up paying for the entire class all over again. I feel confident about what I learned today and I look forward to brushing up my training, at this very facility. Thank you, Conner!

I enjoyed the class. It was easy to follow the instructor and they have reduced class sizes due to COVID so it was easy to remain distanced.

Bay Area Training Academy in engrained into my heart. I cannot express my gratitude for the people…read morehere, they are heroes (in my opinion). I did the 8-week course and they increased my intelligence and I am eternally grateful for them doing that. They increased my confidence & allowed me to build social connections with both fellow students and instructors. I want to thank everyone that helped me because not only did they believe in me but they also motivated me to be a better human being, full of compassion & willingness to assist during emergencies. Steve Albright is the lead instructor and he is gifted at teaching and he is hilarious with his style of teaching. This man is very much a father figure and someone I learned a lot from aside from the medical material, he is truly a pleasure to be around and he lifts up peoples' spirits even though everything can be stressful. Michael believed in me and expressed it in a way that I can never thank enough. I value my newly acquired friendship with Michael and I definitely felt his passion for teaching and "his" love for his students. He is a great instructor who I am proud to have been guided by in this process of becoming a Emergency Medical Technician. He believed in me more than I believed in myself and that is something that money cannot buy. Henry taught me so much and gave me a platform to grow and thrive upon. He was so amazing at teaching and building confidence without putting pressure and it allowed for one to practice like they would in "real-life", therefore it is impossible for me to thank him enough. Nav guided me in situations that are stressful her guidance in tough scenarios which is something I will never forget. Her military expertise is something that I admire and will never forget her words and they will stick with me forever. She also enlightened me with potential career opportunities for someone like me, she did this for all of the students and I'm 100% positive that everyone gained confidence from her insight. Kristian was an amazing instructor who sharpened my skills with his style of teaching. He really helped cement my confidence and that is something I truly needed and value. I know that he didn't just want me to succeed but to also help the patients/people that we serve. The time that we spent together was not nearly enough because he had so much more to give and I had so much more to learn from him, however the time that we did spend was maximized and as I mentioned I am forever grateful for his time and energy. Patrick is like a friend who I have known my entire life and he is a wise teacher who made the learning experience more enjoyable and he reminded me why I am even doing this in the first place. He reminded me of my core values and the type of person I want to be, which is compassionate, sociable, and an intelligent leader who can get things done under pressure. This man is a person that everyone likes to be around and that is something I wish to emulate. Overall, this has been a life changing course unlike any other course that I have taken. I truly cherish these people and they are all heroes which deserve everything that life has to offer because they are doing it from the heart. I am proud to be a Bay Area Training Academy graduate and I will do my best to represent them as I move forward in my life. They are truly all beautiful souls who deserve nothing but the best and coming to the academy was one of the best decisions of my life. I feel more equipped to handle family emergencies as my elders age around me and in my daily life. I am excited to continue my education and these are people that I want to keep close to me. I feel like i found my "people"/tribe. I cannot wait for what the future brings and: Thank you for everything BATA, I love all of you! Sincerely, Raul Angel Maravilla (EMT212AL)

This is the first time I've done my BLS through Safety Training Seminars. The place that I usually…read moredo it at I believe no longer is operating. My team lead at work told me about Safety Training Seminars and how she always renew her BLS here, so I thought I'll give it a try. I was happy to see that there was a location right down the street from my house. I scheduled my skills training for a Saturday, so I started to do my online course about 2 weeks prior. The online course was really thorough and informative. I feel that although I've done this a couple times, I still feel like I learn something new each time. During my skills training at the facility that they have, I was given instructions on how to enter the facility. I was having trouble getting the emergency locked box opened to get the key to enter the place, so I called the number for assistance. Everybody whom I encountered when I called was so nice to me. When I called to let them know that the code I was given didn't work, the person whom I spoke with assisted me in finding another one. I got in and had a bit of difficulties but after that, once I got started it was smooth sailing! I'll be coming back to do my BLS here in the future!

I am a healthcare worker and needed to renew my BLS provider certificate ASAP. I found Safety…read moreTraining seminars online and was able to schedule my online course and skills training within the week! It was simple, convenient and thorough. My skills test was with a VAM and I thought it was extremely helpful testing that way. It is able to monitor the correct depth and timing so I can get a better idea of how it would actually be if I had to perform CPR. I would definitely return when I need to renew again!

I always dread renewing my ACLS every 2 years, it's such a gruesome experience with megacodes, EKG…read morereadings, etc. I usually get my renewal through work but this year I decided to try something different. I wanted to try a renewal outside of work with the hopes that it is less stressful. I came across this place through my Yelp search based on the high ratings. When I went to the website, the option to renewal was online portion + skills assessment. I was worried about the skills assessment. I purchased it and scheduled my skills assessment. The online portion is something I have done in the past with my other renewals which really helps prep you with the algorithms and lots of feedback. The online portion is nice because you work at your own pace, on your own time. You must completed the online portion in order to do the skills assessment in person. Before my skills assessment, I received very helpful e-mails to help me pass my skills assessment. They had some videos and helpful tips in the e-mail. When I arrived to the location at San Ramon, I was a little confused as I easily missed the door and was very lost. I called the phone number and they were very helpful in guiding me on where to go. There is NO instructor there, it's just a manikin hooked up to the computer that assesses the skill. I thought the videos helped me pass the skills assessment. I did have to re-do some sections a couple times but the feedback from the computer helped me and I think the e-mail tips clicked after doing the skills assessment. Overall, the skills assessment was definitely less stressful than I expected. It wasn't that bad. I definitely plan to return to do my BLS + ACLS renewal here, it's very chill and at your own pace! I love it. This really eases my anxiety regarding renewal, I would highly recommend for anyone that wants to renew! Everything is at your own pace. You do only have an hour to do the skills assessment, which I felt was PLENTY of time! The skills assessment focuses mainly on the breaths/compressions of CPR and 2:1 teamwork.

I finally decided to take the plunge and do ACLS. Very similar to BLS, except the pediatric…read moreportion you don't have to do. I went to the Castro Valley location, the same location I have used since last year. I love that this location has its own little parking lot in the back and you just follow the instructions which are emailed to you in order to access the office where you will do your skills testing. Not that this is a dealbreaker, but just be aware there is no restroom at this location. Last year I recall there used to be, but they have now locked the adjoining door so you cannot access the restroom if you need to go. The other thing was it doesn't seem that the cart the mannequin is on is able to be moved; or maybe I just couldn't move it? I went in the morning hours and the sun was shining right in my eyes. Just be forewarned if you decide to go to the Castro Valley location - - use the bathroom first and you may want to bring some sunglasses just in case LOL
