Carl was awesome! We got a new dryer and it wasn't working well. It turned out our dryer vent had 5lbs of lint in it (and a birds net, mud, etc). Carl has a ton of specialized tools that allowed him to get our vent so clean it looked new on the inside. I hired an air conditioning company to clean my dryer vent a few years ago and they weren't nearly as thorough as SafeSmart. If you need your dryer vent cleaned, stop calling around and set an appointment with these guys. You won't be disappointed! read more

Have lived in our house since '96 and have never had this most important cleaning done. Luckily, the builder of our home (Wilson) did a good job w/ our venting system and Carl said that our vent wasn't too bad considering we've never had the service before. We've heard horror stories of dryer fires caused by clogged vents; our friend just had the service done a couple of weeks ago, so we were glad that Carl was able to come out to our house. This is a small business that's a grassroots approach to a maintenance need most people do not realize they have. I have a four year old house and modern gas LG dryer with five peoples worth of laundry to be done on the daily. When SafeSmart showed up, the first thing we saw was the vent condition and how stuffed up it was. After the service was completed (dryer and vent) the vent system looked like new. I had a great experience with Carl. After looking into what it would cost in time and materials to do it myself, I realized it was much better to have him do it and do it right. I don't have any experience with anybody else who cleans dryer ducts, but I think Carl is one of the most professional home service providers out there. He is very clear on what he can do, and he exceeded my expectations. If you haven't had your dryer ducts cleaned in three years, give him a call, especially if you have ducts longer than 10 or 12 feet. Just had my dryer vent cleaned. I was surprised by the amount of lint removed from the vent--including a slightly scorched dollar bill. Carl checked the rooftop vent, changed the vent hose, cleaned everything out and left everything in good order. I would highly recommend his service. I had them come out to take care of our dryer vent before we moved in. The price was great, and we considered it an investment into our home and a good way to prevent fires. It was easy to get an appointment, and they were right on time. The rep was friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient. Someone started a post, about dryer vent cleaning, on nextdoor.com. This company came highly recommended. They said he provided a thorough cleaning, with photos, so you could see the lint build up, in the duct work. We recently purchased an older home. Not knowing how the previous owners cared for their dryer vent, I decided to get it cleaned. The owner was very professional, from the moment I called, to schedule. He arrived on time, and did the work, as promised. He showed me photos of the ducts, and compared before and after, so I knew the job was done. He also emailed me the photos. That was nice, so I could explain to my husband, why I had this work done. He is a visual type person. My dryer vent will need to be cleaned in 4 years. So for about $30 per year, you can rest easy, that your home won't catch on fire, because of dryer lint build up!
