Called PDS out to snake a clogged shower drain. They wouldn't do it. Suggested a $2,262.10 hydrojet cleaning or a line replacement from home to city for $18,275.94 or get this, a complete replacement of all the drain pipes in the house to the city for $20,966.44! I ran them out of here. Called another company, they came out, snaked the shower drain for $125. Just be careful of this company. read more

PDS Plumbing & Air is who you want to go with! They are a top company in the Central Valley for a reason. Our original AC was put in when the house was built in 2000. From what I'm told they're obsolete and no longer make these ACs due to the laws phasing them out. AC units can last up to 20 years and we were five years overdue for a new AC. Raul came out to look at our unit and give me a quote. While he was testing our AC, it started smoking (see attached pic). This is how confident PDS Plumbing & Air is about their products and the services they offer. Raul encouraged me to get price quotes and shop around. He wanted me to be confident in making a decision because replacing a AC is a huge investment and costly. I reached out to several different companies to get quotes (4 other quotes). Everyone said I needed to replace my AC. Everything that Raul told me was wrong with our unit, the other companies confirmed without knowing what he had told me. So that let me know that he was being very transparent and trustworthy. All the price quotes ranged from 19K - 30K. The reason why I went with PDS Plumbing & Air is because Raul was very transparent and very thorough with his assessment. He was also empathetic to our family's needs. He knew what this would cost, and he kept my best interest in mind as a customer. I didn't once feel like the process was a sales pitch with a bunch of upselling or feel pressured to go with his company. Another key factor for me was they are a veteran owned company. My husband and I are both disabled veterans so that really made them stand out to us. I just had my AC unit installed on June 4. Ismael and his team of three other guys came out to our home. They were all professional and kind and worked efficiently. Ismael even gave us portable AC units for our rooms so we could cool off while they were installing the new unit. The whole time Raul checked in with my husband and I to make sure the installation was going as planned and asked us if we had any questions. I've spoken with their dispatchers and their billing people at different times during this process. Their customer service is unmatched and excellent. Rip you off. Don't know what they're doing. I have no trust whatsoever in the work they did to repair our shower. And it somehow cost me over $4,000. They charged my card on file before even asking. They changed shower heads in my shower without asking (when they didnt need to be changed, and what they replaced with are of lesser value and quality than what we had). We have used them a couple of times based on need for a specific water heater we have. Tried to give a benefit of a doubt, but the last experience has made me completely untrusting and won't be using them again. read more

The technician who came out to inspect our split system was very curteous and professional. I have no complaints about that. The price per pound for the R410A refrigerant was $275 per pound! That is absolutely astronomical price. I told the tech I cant pay that much. I was still charged the $78 diagnosis fee. He was here for maybe 15 minutes. Insane price. This is the 2nd PDS has been to our residence and both visits have been a disappointment. Never dealing with them again. Professional presentation, but questionable workmanship. I hired them for a whole-house water filtration system, and issues began with the initial install. I was later told the system requires days to properly filter--something the first installer did not explain. The filtration company was blamed, and now the RO system is leaking with responsibility being shifted again. For the price, the work feels incomplete and unresolved. read more

Do not do business with this company!! There's no doubt that they know what they're doing, but they're pricey and there business practice is lacking big time. The salespeople will tell you anything to get the job and then all of a sudden part is not included in the contract. I had a whole new system installed A/C & heating, ducting, boots and vents. Then around a year later when time for my wife to do deep clean we find out only 2 of 7 boots was replaced. When I called about they said it wasn't in the contract and of course the salesman flashed through it so quickly I didn't have time to read it but yet they still replaced 2 of 7. **Unethical business practices** DO NOT USE!! Trusting the high reviews I scheduled service call. I had a small pipe that had a leak. The service member came out and wanted to charge me well over $6000 for a minor pipe replacement. Thinking I didn't know what the issue was, he claimed I needed to replace all these parts that were working perfectly fine. I'm am certain the repair men are paid a commission to upsell customers on items that don't need replacing or replacing items that can easily be repaired. This company is not the only one doing this but they all need to be called out. It's so unfortunate that we can't have reputable and honest businesses anymore. This is our second experience with PDS. The first involved a leak from our washer that went down the wall into our garage. They hooked us up repairing the leak without throwing in a whole bunch of extra stuff that wasn't needed. This time, our hot water heater went out Sunday night. Sent in the repair to Yelp and got some responses early in the morning. Went with the first who showed up late. He said it would be a sensor and that the office would get in touch. The next day, we called PDS. He came and said it would be a bigger project than initially told. He explained our Rheem unit from Home Depot and how they are not friendly towards repairs. Told us it would cost $1800-ish for the parts(plural), or $4000-ish to swap out the whole thing. We had yet to hear from the initial guy again so decided to swap the whole thing. Fast forward a few hours and the guys that were supposed to do the job still hadn't contacted us. Meanwhile the first company got back to us. We got the part and can be there before the end of the day. Why not, let's take a chance on the cheaper option. He comes and less than an hour later, confesses he was hoping it was a sensor. After some talking, he confirms what the other guy said. Where before you could buy a part to fix a hot water heater, now it's an assembly (a variety of connected parts) that are not easily accessible. Might take days. Might take weeks. That confirms it for us. Just swap the whole thing. But we're not going to go with the company that was guessing the whole time. Call back PDS who figured it out right away and tell them to come back. Mind you it's the end of the day already, Tuesday already and we could have already had our new unit in by now had we not gambled on the cheaper option. Fast forward Wednesday morning, day of our 20th anniversary, and Scott and Carlos finally come in. A couple hours and the job is done. They explained everything, answered all questions. And even left us a bucket because I said I needed a bucket to get some dirt this weekend. Awesome! This is 2 times in a row PDS came through for us when another company couldn't do it read more
