The scheduler/receptionist is awesome and the techs both at the shop and mobile were professional. 4/2 - chip 4/3 - got a next day appointment. Great! Repair failed (ok, it happens) 4/10 - canceled appointment: replacement windshield came broken. Boo! Ship things better Safelite! 4/15 - repaired! Yay! Oh wait...couldn't calibrate it successfully. Frustrating because instructions start to ensure your car has gas bc the tech may need to drive it to calibrate so...if my hilly neighborhood impacted the self described "wonky" app, then drive my car to a flatter place (which there is 200 feet away) 4/22 - finally fully repaired So subtract a star for corporate shipping and subtract a star for not finishing the calibration by driving to a flatter spot. Add back in a star because everyone was truly helpful and worked to reschedule appointments as soon as possible. read more

The worst customer experience I have ever had in my more than 50 years. My wife brought in her car for a simple windshield repair. We leave for vacation tomorrow. The "service" people at this location damaged a wire or tripped a fuse such that her entire interior display no longer works. They did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation and made her leave without any resolution. Tomorrow is a holiday. How is this even remotely acceptable? Done with Safelite as a company. They no longer seem to do the Mobile glass repair, which was convenient since their shops are far away. Today I drove almost an hour to get to a shop only for the dirty looking technician to come to the desk (because they don't even have a receptionist) and tell me that I was 30 minutes late for my drop off time and they can't fit me in today. Who schedules so poorly!? A simple modicum of courtesy would've gone a long way, but I had to travel some 20 miles to the shop just to be told it glass cannot be replaced in a windshield in a day. Not to mention the fact that I waited several minutes for someone to notice I was standing at the desk in the first place. ​ Then, if you want to complain to corporate, good luck...Zero accountability from a brand that puts more effort into their commercials than they do their shops and operations. I had to wait an extra 3 days from my initial appointment because my windshield never arrived at their location. After install, my windshield was all smeared up on the inside from whatever they used to "clean it". I ended up cleaning it myself a couple days later. read more

Unprofessional. Rude. Came in for appointment after waiting two weeks. They gave me a price $40 higher than the quote I had from scheduling. They did not know why. I suggested they had the wrong part. They scoffed at me for knowing there were significatl different parts. YUP they had the wrong part and said it would be another two weeks. I had a small chip in my windshield from a stone being thrown up from my truck. Safelite repaired it. But while I was there I asked them do I need a new windshield or can it be fixed. The technician told me it could be fixed and it would pass inspection. A few months later I took it back again and had him look at the repair and he said it was fine. I took my car to be inspected and it wouldn't pass now I need a new windshield. I called Safelite and I asked to speak to somebody about this matter. They weren't interested in having somebody contact me about this. I would not recommend them poor customer service. read more

I've dealt with safelite in other locations and never had a problem but this shop is very unprofessional. The lead technician should never be allowed to speak to anyone, as he is a horrible representative for your company. He even went as far as to tell me that his manager was un knowledgeable and sounded very disgruntled when speaking about him. But my issue is they caused damage to my vehicle and refused to take responsibility. I took the car to my body shop for repair and it cost me all of $150 but these representatives acted like I was trying to somehow take them for stupid I reached out to corporate and no one returned my request. They took plenty pictures of my vehicle so there is proof as to its condition prior the the work. I didn't even ask for money, just for the shop to acknowledge they made a mistake. Your lack of honesty supersedes anything you may have done right. Plain shameful. Update: the technician that worked on my car had to return to my location to work on a coworkers vehicle, he was never contacted by the "manager", said he doeswork at this location but only helps from another location because they currently don't have a "manager" and was completely unaware, but apologetic, that he had damaged my car. My rear car window was recently smashed by someone at Home Depot. And they took off without taking ownership for the damage. State Farm recommended me to Safelite Auto Glass in West Chester, and I am so glad they did. They immediately got on the phone with me and had someone come out to my house the next afternoon to repair it. I couldn't be happier with their communication and my experience with them. I thought the crack in my windshield was fixable with resin, but they informed me that since the crack was to the edge of the windshield, I'd need a full replacement. They were unable to perform the work that day since they didn't have my windshield in stock, but I scheduled an appointment for only two days later and the quote price stayed the same from the beginning. Do not use Safelite. My dealer garage found the rain sensor was incorrectly installed. Dan, the assistant manager at Safelite West Chester Pennsylvania, said that the windshield was under warranty which states work must be performed by Safelite so reimbursement for the corrective labor was not possible. What was I supposed to do, bring the windshield back to the company that installed it incorrectly in the first place? Edit: I do fail to see how the rain sensor is under warranty as it is not glass. Also, in a response to the initial yelp review, the owner called their mistake and my payment to fix it and their refusal to reimburse an inconvenience. Even if you have to pay more, just go somewhere else. Go somewhere that does decent work or at least works with you when they make a mistake. read more

I have several pieces of feedback. On April 12th my friend smashed her back windshield in my driveway (I rent). She called Safelite, gave them the make, model & year of her car and they said that they couldn't replace her windshield until April 18th. They came out the first time & brought the wrong windshield. They came out again with another incorrect windshield. At this point they gave her a $50 credit on her deductible for the inconvenience. They finally delivered the correct windshield on April 27th (friday). I called them the following Monday & asked them to clean up the glass that was in my driveway & "Eddie" told me in a rude manner that someone would clean it up on Thursday. Thursday came & went. I had to clean the driveway while I'm on disability from a broken neck. Thanks Safelite for a miserable experience! read more

I made the appointment over the phone. There were a couple hiccups with this process, including an issue with not being able to transfer my call to a different department. (Phone operators should be better trained to handle non-insurance calls). But eventually the appointment was made. The installer, cheng, was excellent. He came on time, was friendly, and finished the installation quickly! Faster than I was expecting. While the phone process could've been smoother, the overall experience was good because of the glass technician and the price! Went to this Safelite location for what I thought was a windshield repair. Upon walking in, no employee acknowledged I was at the counter for 5-10 minutes. After that, I was able to give them my keys as I was dropping my car off. They called me 1.5 hours later to let me know I needed a replacement and that I would need to schedule for another day. This was around 3:30. I was at a friend's house visiting so I didn't go to pick my car up until around 4:30. Despite their business hours being 8am-5pm, they had already closed for the day. No one had called me to let me know they were closing early even though they still had my car keys. This was on a Saturday and they're closed on Sundays. My mom had to make an hour round trip just to bring me my spare key and I wasn't able to get my keys back from them until the following Tuesday. This establishment is overpriced, unprofessional, and my experience with them was wildly disappointing. read more

On 3/20/19 I brought my car here to address what I thought was a bad install issue that surfaced a year after the replacement was completed. Any time I drove over 40 mph it sounded like a wind like noise on both sides of my windshield. The noise was deafening. The staff removed my windshield and re-installed it....there was no improvement to the noise...but they eliminated the windshield as the source of the problem. 99 out of 100 shops would send you packing once their product or service was not found to be "at fault". They methodically tracked the offending piece of equipment within the car's undercarriage that was vibrating at high speeds. They worked for 15-20 minutes to re-secure and eliminated the noise 100%. No Charge. Great professional, on time, service here. Will use for any future windshield issues. read more

I had a small chip in my windshield and arranged for a Safelite technician to repair it. The chip was tiny. Due to the negligence of the technician, however, my windshield cracked during the apoxy application. I did not realize it at the time, but the tech was supposed to take steps to cool my windshield prior to applying the apoxy. He never asked me to turn on the AC; he never applied windex; and he never asked me to move the car to a shaded location, all of which would have cooled the windshield sufficiently to prevent cracking. Safelite ended up costing me nearly $500 to fully replace my windshield, due to their negligence. read more

I went to this location to replace my windshield. The replecement went fine but they could not replace the wiper blades at the correct location. I returned 2 times for them to fix it but they could not do it. Then at the end their response was "This is how it is". Well it is not, I know because I am the owner of the car. The front desk agent was not friendly and was eating Taco Bell while talking to me. They need better education about cars and common sense. read more

I went to Safelite to repair a micro-crack in my windshield. The crack was caused by a stray pebble hitting the windshield and it was smaller than a fingernail, on the passenger side. The repair estimate was ~$50 so I was really happy going in. The repair caused the crack to expand to the size of my hand and it extended all the way to one windshield edge. I asked the technician about it but he guaranteed that it would not crack further and they would refund the cost of the repair if it cracked further or did not pass inspection. I was upset but since their brochure does say that repairs may cause cracks to get bigger, I kicked myself and left. Well, one month later, the new cracks have expanded a lot further and now extends to two windshield edges. It does not pass inspection. Safelite refunded the cost of the repair (~$50) but I am now responsible for a full windshield replacement ($300+). I really do not want to return to them for this replacement. read more

My windshield was recently hit by a huge rock. It looked terrible, but I just wanted to avoid having the dings spread into cracks. Somehow this guy practically made the spots invisible. I have no idea how, but I was so relieved that not only is the windshield protected from the spots spreading, but it looks 10,000 times better! read more
